Echo Woman

I wore Davidoff Echo on my wedding day. I remember my brother-in-law giving me this and saying “I think this is what a beautiful woman would smell like” I loved it, of course. The bottle matches the scent so much. I kept my bottle for 8 years but by the end the atomizer stopped working, and the scent had changed too. I threw it away without knowing this had been discontinued. When I found out I was devastated. Until three days ago, when I found a BNIB bottle from a supplier that specialises in discontinued perfumes. I nearly cried. I must admit I was skeptical when I first tried it. Would it be the same? Would the magic still be there? It was almost like meeting an ex and wondering if the spark had been truly there or if you’d imagined it all. That first spray made me smile. Oh, but it’s the same. Fresh and girly and floral and everything that’s pretty. There’s nothing edgy about this. This is an aquatic floral that is perfectly balanced by the woods in the drydown. On hindsight this was such a perfect bridal scent. I remember longevity being moderate but this time around I’ll have to see. I also need to take into consideration that the perfume that bloomed in Hanoi winters would not really perform the same way in Singapore summers. And yet, this is such a happy perfume. So elegant. So gorgeous. Such a perfect balance of everything I don’t see anyone not liking it.

This was my favorite perfume so far.. It has an amazing scent, although towards the end of the bottle it smelled more bitter..I had hard time finishing the bottle because of that. The scent is floral, and also has something in it that reminds you of the previous perfume from Davidoff collection- Cool Water..but doesn't smell like it at all..same hint of bitterness to it I guess. Overall, I was satisfied with this perfume, although not thinking of repurchasing yet, looking for something lighter. It lasted pretty long time.

I bought this as a teen when researching perfumes in the early 2000s and reading in Cosmopolitan or some other magazine and it was voted most popular fragrance! I’m glad I still have a bit in the bottle left now. There is nothing quite like this on the market anymore. It’s a cold crisp vodka cocktail scent with a smooth drydown perfect for summer. This got me through many scorching Australian summers smelling fresh and pretty. This is the only fragrance I’ve worn at length without getting a headache.

I'm definetly getting something 'rose-like' as well as a lot of peony from this. There's almost certainly something 'fruity' going on as well. I was thinking a bit like strawberries, but someone else said 'melon' and that could be it too. Is there calone in this? It hits the back of the nose like l'Eau par Kenzo :) It's quite beautiful and I love it.

I bought it from my first salary, back in 2004! And what a blast...I was working as a reporter back then and I was often asked what I was wearing, as people apparently liked the peony and violet notes (these two were the most prominent on me). It wasn't very long-lasting, but it was easily noticeable, without causing headaches to anyone around.

This is a nice fragrance. A clean, fresh, flowery aroma that will not offend anyone.It does not last very long therefore you might need to spray couple of more times during the day. Overall, this is a pleasant, inoffensive, day-time perfume that can be easily worn for the office.

The head seems to be a little "creamy" to me, but the heart and base are really very tender, romantic and also a little sweet. It's a warm and relaxed feeling, which will always be included in my choices. A good "Chypre floral", but not long-lasting.

This could be my signature spring/summer daytime scent, it is beautiful! The perfect composition for me, slightly fruity, not too sweet and lovely floral aspect. It also seems to have great staying power on me, lasting about 6hrs!

This is very nice, light perfume. I wear it during the day to work. I really like the floral/fruity notes. What I do not like about this perfume is that it fades very quickly, even if I use it in large amounts.

i amaze this had vodka, i remmember this fragrance when it came up, my mom bought it for me and i was absolutly in loveeee Very fresh, but like tender.

I love this smell. It is very fresh, and has a pretty preppy kick to it. It also has a sophistication to it. Definitely womanly.

I've purchaced my second bottle. It's intoxicating, imaginative and fascinating. A purely romantic feel. I'd always keep it.

love it but the longevity is very poor.

At first I was disappointed. I remember I used it at home and thought the fragrance was weak and with a poor sillage. When I went outside, it became more detectable and it started to leave a faint trace behind me. So it blooms outside, I guess ;) Besides: the opening is very sweet and pink. Then the fragrance becomes less sweet, still sweet nevertheless. Also there's peony, vodka and musk the most recognizable on my skin. The slight woody note is also here. I'd say it isn't a special fragrance, more a crowd pleaser. Nothing wrong with that! But it's also not much memorable and it doesn't smell like from a higher shelf (it's not bad either, but worth mentioning). It's a cold-warm fragrance, with a spicy note. More for spring or summer days than for winter. A pleasant one, but not much special for me. I quite like it. And chypre? Only a little. Why was it named "Echo"? Maybe because it's a fragrance that you use repeatedly or you've sniffed similar ones repeatedly? Or a nymph?

It was my signature scent from first years of university. I remember buying it mostly because i like its round shaped, pink and cute bottle and joyful smell. I remember bottles having some kinda sprayer problem and they were breaking apart after long usage :D apart from that; since it reminds me of happy and nice times; i find this smell definetly a happy one, balanced for me; not so watery fresh but suitable for spring/summer usage. According to notes it s very flowery but it s not overwhelming, it s not like a flowerish bomb explodes to your smelling senses. It lasts long and sillage s okay and everytime i wore this one; i got compliment to how i smell sooo good from many male friends, i dont know why :D i purchased a bottle this year after a really long time; actually i wanted to see if it s the same, joyful, modern, girly and sexy smell i remember and yes, it gave me same feelings and vibe again and i still enjoy wearing it.

A lovely modern chypre floral - woody fragrance. Musk is a very clear opening note in this fragrance. Sweet and sharp, it whisks you straight to faraway lands of exotic insense and rose. But this where the 'oriental' stops. The grape-seed gives the musky top a fresh woody nuance what will blend in and characterize the rest of the perfume. The heart has a slightly spicy edge, it adds depth to the crisp and fresh aroma of the lighter florals. The fragrance stays fresh and crisp with a hint of woods for 2 -4 hours. The middle notes of Echo will stay very close to the skin and give poor sillage. The drydown is barely there, I can detect some orris root and woods but only very close to the skin. A shame for an Eau de Parfum, ironically an echo you can barely hear. I used up my 50ml bottle and didn't repurchase. I'm now looking for a longer-lasting chypre floral woody fragrance.

it's a "fun" smell. smells fruity to me rather than flowery or anything else. it also has a distinct note among all the fruity type of smells, which i found out here to be the vodka! so this explains why i liked this fragrance at the very beginning very much:) was plesant to wear it for a while (to be exact, for one summer), but when i bought it for the second time, i really got bored of the smell and still not using the remaining few ml. and another detail is; when the 100 ml bottle was about to finish (for the last 10-15 ml) the spray pump of the bottle didnt work well because of the bottom silver colored part, so i had to remove it. also, it's not comfortable to spray because of the shape of the bottle. longevity is not bad, lasted a few hours on me, and even more on the clothes. i think this is ok for a summer scent.

I bought my bottle sometime in the last decade. I had no idea until I decided to write a review of it that it had been discontinued. I was in need of something fresh when I picked it up, tried it, and sure enough, it was fresh. However, at the time I was less than impressed by its longevity, and just sort of gradually stopped using it as seasons changed, and as my dwindling perfume collection began to expand. Oddly enough, running out of space on my dresser for more perfume bottles and samples, I pulled this out and WOW! It's just perfect for this blazing hot summer we're having in the Midwest. I'm really bummed I can't get more of it.

Echo doesn't last long on my skin. I prefer darker scents and this one is very light and fresh. It's beautiful, however, and I always come back to it. I find this scent lasts longer if sprayed into a scarf or into your hair: something that it can cling to and really manifest into. Not bashing this fragrance: I love how sweet and romantic this perfume is...it reminds me of a first love in the springtime when all the flowers are freshly blooming. Namely pure white flowers. It's a pure fragrance, which every perfume aficionado needs!

It's a beautiful, fresh summer scent, not quite similar but in the type of EDT Acqua di Gioia or Eau Eden, the only problem is that it disappears within seconds:-I The only way to appreciate it is to spray in in huge amounts on your clothes - then it will remain with you for a longer while. I would love to get it one day, but I'd only be using in in heat above 30 degrees - otherwise it won't be sensed - neither by me nor by anybody else.

This is a beautiful light refreshing scent, the vodka note gives it a uniqueness that separates it from other fragrances like it on the market. This is the only perfume that I have repurchased as I love it that much. However, the only downside is that it doesn't last very long at all. But the scent is so nice I don't mind topping up throughout the day. It is very reasonably priced and won't break the bank. It's a safe, every day perfume.

this cant be much better !! lovely,light,fresh,energizing refreshing smell !! so sweet and fresh, CLEAN smell .. i've tried it last summer and luved it soo much at the 1st sniff, its one of my top summer fragrances the top not is so refreshing !! with quite sharp and musky note , then flowers and more flowers in the heart.. the base note is great !! so warm and sweet !! i luve this perfume sweet,fresh,clean wearable and so feminine !!

Fruity florals are like chocolate - generally I like the taste of all the different varieties, but they do tend to taste much the same. I find this far more fruity than woody and it reminds me of Cool Water's older, grown up, more floral sister. Yeah, it's nice and it's sweet and would make a great day fragrance. If you like fruity florals then i'm not sure how you could dislike this.

It’s a hot summer day. There’s a garden party thrown by a joyful young woman wearing a floral floaty dress and white musk perfume. The popular drink is pink lemonade with a tiny teenie splash of vodka. The garden is full of peonies and fenced by cedar trees. The party was very pleasant and refreshing but lasted two hours only.

i had this before when i am young; a present from someone. Got it at the counter with a free sling bag & similar perfumed lotion. It makes you smell nice & totally refreshing for daily usage. I forgot owning this until remembering the big box it's coming in. Easily forgotten unlike my other perfumes.

Nice airy and light floral, Very long lasting power on clothes and on my quite dry skin, I like it for spring/summer. I find it a little generic, I mean this is not a fragrance that I recognize as unique... But it ́s ok! I mean it ́s there, very wearable fragrance, you ́ll never find it overwhelming.

Echo Woman is a really lovely everyday scent. It's light and fresh, but not too sweet. The violet and peony are really prominent for me, with a hint of woodiness in the background. It lasts a decent amount of time, too - I can still smell it on my skin hours later.

First i had Echo for man that is a great fragrance (at least for my taste) but i said i have to try the woman scent too... Is not great but i like'it eaven if dosent last as long as i wish it would last. Its good for a summer day in the city.

I loved this fragrance so much and I miss it! The bottle always reminded me of a breast implant! I’m wearing Davidoff’s Sea Rose to emulate but it’s not a match as it’s nowhere near as fresh as echo. I’d love to own this again.

Absolutely gorgeous floral! You can't really say juicy about a floral fragrance, but that's how it feels to me....a large bouquet of dewy flowers. Very along the lines of Flora Bella by Lalique.

So fresh and light, perfect for spring/summer, my favourite scent, the bottle design is absolutely lovely, so compact and light, perfect for a holiday. Smells really expensive as well.

I had it and I liked it, yet not planning to repurchase. It's light and lovely, perfect for everyday wear, yet not too rememberable and ddidn't last on me for very long time either.

Love the smell, so soft and fresh, really nice, shame doesn't last long at all, but since it's not expensive, will be buying it from time to time :). xx

Love how Echo is creamy and fruity at the same time. I smell watermelon also. This is very long lasting as a summer fragrance on me. Like it alot.

Nice, floral, soft and feminine, light but lasting, good for any age groups and for daytime use. Reminds me enternity forever, just less musky.

this is a summer scent, very fresh, when I sprayed it I smell watermelon, mixed with spice. Was nice but too expensive.

Got it as a gift. Like it a lot - fresh and "everyday-ish" kind of scent. It does not last long unfortunately.

Red grapes + raspberries + watermelon

Een veel te licht parfum voor mij. Een bloemige, maar saaie geur. Niets speciaals. Ook verdwijnt de geur erg snel en ruiken anderen het nauwelijks. Te veilig voor mij dus.

My mother gave me her bottle of this perfume at about 75% full. I really wanted to like it after being disappointed with the Cool Water fragrance, but god, I think I hate this one even more. Yes, the floral notes in it are nice, but it's just not enough to stem the tide of nauseating sourness this perfume develops on my skin within minutes of spraying. After an hour and a half of wearing it, I found myself in my bathroom desperately trying to scrub off the scent from my arms with soap because I couldn't stand it anymore. That vodka note with musk completely overpowers the flowers on me. And at this point, I'm convinced that Davidoff fragrances are just not for me. At least I gave it a try. It's one of the few perfumes I give a VERY hard pass on.

The worst possible perfume I have ever encounter! I received it as a gift--thank god I didn't have to pay for it--and ended up never using it, not even once in public. I only tried it once, and I quickly showered to get rid off the scent of me. Tough luck, it still stayed. Echo is strong and loud and harsh. There's nothing subtle about it. It should be named 'Noise' instead!
