Run Wild

Managed to pick up a 100ml for £12 and thought it was worth a pick up as love the look of the presentation and haven't been disappointed with any davidoff fragrances I've tried. Run Wild is very much an invictus inspired fragrance with a green twist. From the opening it's very much invictus but as it dries you can detect the lavender and ginger giving it a blue vibe for the first 45mins. Once that had passed the tonka and green notes really shine through making it an extremely sexy fragrance for entirety of its wear. Performance hasn't been mind blowing but for the price 6hrs certainly isn't bad and it's gonna get you compliments effortlessly just like invictus. Its versatile like invictus and can be used for any situation and any time of year. I would say its most suited for spring and summer but it can be used just as effectively during the autumn and winter. For the price you certainly can't go wrong if you just want to smell good in all situations and I would definitely recommend this scent.

I almost wrote this fragrance off because of the reviews. Thank god I didn't, because I Love this. I do get the similarities to Invictus, Wanted by night, Dunhill Icon Racing, and YSL Y EDP beacause there is a sweet invigorating fresh opening. That's where the similarities end. This smells like its own blend. In the opening you have a very sweet, bright, refreshing accord which is the combination of Tonka, Lavender, and Ginger. The Fir smell is hiding underneath this sweet accord, highlighting it with a green touch, but this does not smell like Pine at all. I love how they did this, because you pick it up, and it highlights the main scent, but it blends in well. The Cinnamon is very much the same...you can detect it if you are looking, but it blends well into the main accord. If you like Sweet Fresh fragrances you will like this. I love this and Y EDP..Great Fragrance.

The dislike is totally unnecessary, although I'm starting to see that the little delusional niche snobs outnumber those who just want to smell good. Either way ,this is a great frag and I'm glad I went ahead and ignored the fragrance snobs and took a shot on this as I think its excellent, and it doesn't smell like invictus at all . Its refreshing and uplifting ,but its definitely not a clone of any sort . Not only does this smell awesome it performs really well. Anyways I love it, glad I ignored most of the dislike and picked this one up

Underrated spicy, fresh, cinnamon, sweet , woody and vanilla fragrance l. Real good for spring/summer/Autumn. Even though you could wear it in winter. The cinnamon, sweet and woody notes make it wearable on cold winter days. Very versatile. I wear the perfume in the office, gym, date and going out with friends. Last around 7 hours and the prices is cheap.

Very good pleasent scent, love it. Sweet, but fresh and spicy enough for summer. With an Invictus Legend vibe and almost a boozy tone, I find this amazing for summer. Projection is average and longevity is good, gonna buy this for sure after it makes it into discounters.

Cheapie buy from Marshall's today. $16.99 for 50ml and a body wash. It does have that similarity to Invuctus and Wanted, but a slight twist. I like it. If you like Invictus and/or Wanted and want to save $50 give this a shot. :)

Bloody hell,all the negative reviews on the fragrance,I bet majority of these pricks don’t even own a bottle,this is fresh,clean and uplifting..Davidoff always makes great fragrances.

I like this and I think it is underrated. I bought it for £15. It think it is fresh, spiced, sweet and aromatic. Worth a blind buy.

Invictus clone but a little more fresh & less sweet. Like it :)

Invictus has never been on my radar so I don't recall ever smelling it. Now after smelling this (Got it in a trade) I can see how this is a familiar DNA. Now this is something that can easily be dense and cloying, but Run Wild is somehow light and airy while still being sweet. It is a fresh fragrance that is sweet, like bubblegum sweet, and hangs in the air nicely around you in a nice bubble. On a warm day, the scent really does work. It has a freshness and a lightness to it that does not make it cloying. Can work all year round I think. It's better than a blue scent because it doesn't have a persistent ambroxan note. The ginger is there and just gives its a nice warm spicy feel while still feeling fresh, airy, clean, and pleasant. There is a piney feel too it, giving it an almost woody base. The Fir and Ginger really mix well to my nose. You can overspray this and you won't offend. Obviously don't spray too much, but a trigger happy newbie won't choke anyone out. It's a pleasant smell that doesn't have too much density but it does project fairly nicely. The atomizer doesn't spray a lot anyway, so you may need a few extra sprays. Not groundbreaking, nothing insanely special, but I recommend it if you see it for a good price. It's a nice fragrance for the collection, and easy dumb reach, but can also probably garner compliments. Does not smell synthetic .

“Mmm I can definitely smell that cinnamon and fir resin when I wear this” - Nobody. Literally nobody. This scent is youthful and (so, so) sweet. It’s not a bad scent but... Here’s their deal: there are others in this fragrance family that are better balanced. In this one Davidoff allows the sweetness to “run wild”- if you will. It’s got other things going on but you’re gonna have to get passed the sweetness. Some will and love it and some won’t.... It’s a good performer though. And I blind bought a 100ml bottle for maybe $20. Can’t complain about any of that. It’s also a clean scent and you could wear this to work, school or outdoors. Definitely leans 25 and younger to me. I can understand why someone would like this. Just spray carefully when wearing. Otherwise someone (including yourself) will either get a cavity or headache. SYL

Run Wild is an aromatic and spicy fragrance. It has a sweet, bubblegum-like opening, very much in the style of some modern fragrances. Minutes later a very aromatic lavender is perceived with some spicy elements such as cinnamon or anise. The base of the perfume has sweet elements of tonka bean, but also contains some fruity and fresh accords. This fragrance is versatile, as it contains fresh and spicy features, to be used at any time of the year. Run Wild is Davidoff's answer to fragrances like Paco Rabanne's Invictus, Azzaro Wanted, or Coach for Men, because its scent is modern, and it's a new release out of the long line of Cool Water flankers. Its longevity is between 5 or 6 hrs, with good sillage only the first hour. The bottle is simple, but pretty and like most Davidoff fragrances its price is very affordable.

I feel a lot of the hate and downvoting is unnecessary for with this fragrance. Yes, it does smell a lot like Invictus (moreso when it has dried down) - which can be a good or bad thing. Good because it means if you like wearing Invictus, this will be more affordable if you're on a budget. Bad, well, because it's virtually a clone. You can mistake it for Invictus until you know it's not, then you can pick out the difference. It lasts quite well (I've had it on for about 10 hours now and can still just about smell it), sillage is reasonable as well. The price will be its advantage - in the UK this is around £30 to £35 for a 50ml bottle, the equivalent for Invictus is around £55.

Be careful with the sprays! I was in a car with this on and the entire car smelled like me. This was a solid 5 hours after my last application by the way. All in all, it's an amazing cheap alternative for PR Invictus or Azzaro Wanted. Very similar smell and great performance. The bubblegum sweetness is there, and the performance is great on me. Of course, get Invictus or Wanted if you could afford it, but if you're on a budget, this is one of the best clones out there.

Hard to describe, really. It is similar to Invictus. Like a sweet smelling soap. I can't decide whether that's good or bad. Sometimes I smell it and am taken by how 'clean' it smells. Sometimes I smell it and find it too sweet smelling. I think it would be perfect if it were just ever so slightly less sweet smelling. All of that said, longetivity and sillage on this one is off the charts for Davidoff.

Well to me it's another YSL Y Live/Born in Roma/Bois De Yuzu clone. Boring air freshener smell to my nose. This one has a slightly greener, fresher and less abrasive opening but it dries down to the same thing again. Edit: I tried it on fabric and it was better, the performance improved and the smell stayed more closer to its initial spray smell. Improved to a like from ok. Still a clone though.

Very similar lavender note to legend spirit, but this one is more subtle, has nicely blended spiciness from ginger and cinnamon. I don't find it so sweet as invictus line or azzaro wanted , yet i get the comparisons. Later the fir resin gives freshly green, light woody aroma, when tonka keeps it very pleasant and on the soft side. Deserves more attention from fragrance community. 8/10 overall.

This smells like it would come in a YSL Y bottle in the shade of green that Run Wild actually is. It smells like a green flanker to the Y Line. Super fresh with sweetness but instead of that ambroxen blue smell you get the fresh green with the sweetness. People smell this on you from feet away even if you don't smell it anymore.

This does have a little of that Invictus vibe in the beginning but not as potent or sweet. Run Wild is lighter, fresher and can be worn in the hot weather unlike Invictus where it can become cloying. Overall, Run Wild is a modern, casual and playful scent.

After sample it more times i actually like it, the opening is very addicting, i recomend using this casual and office, this also have good performance on my skin, plus is a cheapie, go and grab it, no regrets with this one

Fresh, green, simple but very pleasant. Projects very well when first sprayed. Great for summer. I would consider buying it for my husband. Thumbs up!

Quite a common smell but definitely smells neat. Nothing wow, but fresh spicy. More suitable for evening.

Davidoff Run Wild is PR Invictus on a budget, not as beastly as Invictus but yet still bold, much like English Laundry Cambridge Knight, especially in the opening, and as it dries it becomes more intimate and creamy/sweet/slightly spicy/fresh-clean similar to coach platinum w/ invictus in the background; youthful, casual, versatile, can be worn year round but might be too sweet for high temps; Projection/Sillage': GOOD, arms length scent bubble for the 1st 2-3 hours w/ scent trail, aromatic (really lingers in the air). Performance/Longevity: GREAT, about 9-10 hours (on fabric).

For the first hour I kept smelling synthetic vetiver but then ginger, fir and lavender with hint of tonka bean created an unsuccessful barber shop type aroma but nothing special. Scent 6/10 Sillage 6/10 quickly became a skin scent in 1 hr. Longevity 7/10 fades away after 3 hrs. Value 7/10

I will keep it short, this has a similar vibe/smell to Invictus / Invictus Aqua 2018 / Azzaro wanted EDT. However, this feels cheaper/synthetic compared to the above ones. I very much prefer Invictus Aqua 2018 and Wanted EDT over this.

One of the most uninteresting and derivative fragrances I had the pleasure of testing/buying in the past 5 years.

The others have it right, this is really close to Invictus. I don't enjoy Invictus so much, but this I like quite a bit. However, where others said that this is a spring/summer fragrance, for me I'll be wearing it in fall and winter because otherwise it becomes too sharp in the heat. It's probably the fir resin, maybe it's the ginger, but high heat makes it almost cloying. It's really nice overall, a great fragrance for an office executive. In my opinion, this leans more professional and less fun/sexy which seems ironic that it's called Run Wild. Between the presentation and the quality of the fragrance, this is a great addition to anyone's collection. I do like the smell but I don't like how it seems the scent is made with harsh chemicals. It smells nice but it smells cheap and it burns my nose a little when I try to wear it. Wanted to love it, but couldn't do it.

I really loved Davidoff fraquances, there was a time I bought them immediately after release, even without trying. Not anymore, and I really regret that. Trying to change my mind, I blind bought this one. But again, a big mistake. It'a a bland, middle of the road, musky kind of nothing. Not Run Wild, more Sit Boring or Lay Waiting. Bottle is gorgeous, colour is perfect, but that's it. Please Davidoff, make a new Echo, Relax or Cool Water, try to be original again.

Tested this on a test strip at a mall store, I got this fresh green grassy opening that was honestly very classy. Instantly bought it. Went home, applied it on my skin and it is dense, the ginger and cinnamon notes are really heavy and it makes my nose hurt and my head ache. I don't know why anyone would want to put themselves through that. Luckily it was a 30ml bottle so I didn't spend a whole lot. Passed it on to my dad who isn't very fond of it either.

No, please no, NOOOOOO! I like the ad campaign and was very exited. I generally love woody,spicy scents. But this is just horribly synthetic, like a forest made of plastic. I can only agree with everyone that this is a shame for davidoff! They used to make amazing releases like zino, cool water or adventure...

i was hoping this would be something new from davidoff. invictus mixed with wanted by azzaro! And not a good copy even. Not even trying one bit to smell a little original.. put your money on off the 2 others if you want this smell! SAD

Cool water is one my of my favorites fragrances,however run wild has slapped my face deadly ,terrible, i need to wash of the essence from my skin straight i put it on.

#1068 in my "Tour de Fragrance" This is a "pharmacy shelf" quality fragrance and a waste of money. A simple scent with a pleasant but unimpressive opening, primarily fir resin, and a hour later no one will know you're wearing it even if you bathe in it. Among all the EDTs I've tried out Davidoff stands out for exceptional stinginess with the perfume oils. Their EDPs are EDTs, the EDTs are colognes at best, fraiche at worst. I blame the product managers, not the perfumers who come up with what could be nice scents that the product guys water down every time.120 feeble products called "Cool Water", but they never actually give me what I want, i.e. a strong performing version of the original formula. For that I can go to a dozen of their competitors, but not Davidoff. Makes absolutely no sense that so many fragrance houses make better versions of Cool Water that Davidoff themselves, but that's how it is. It's just sad mismanagement of what could be a great brand.

It's opening is too strong making it addictive, but in warm weather the entire perfume is unenjoyable and extremely cloying. I imagine if you're all about Paco Rabanne, this will hit your sweet spot. Looking at the notes, I do not understand why its so sweet. It really goes up to the line of repulsive.

This is flat out good if you like any of the invictus or invictus aqua DNA scents. For the price, hard to beat it with performance etc. Yes, it has the bubblegum, sweet, younger vibe that is becoming played out, but it is done really well, and out of the 100's of Invictus inspired scents that every brand makes....because they sell, are mass appealing, and do the job anytime of the year.....Hard to beat Run wild for the money if comparing to Invictus etc. If you have Invictus, Invictus Aqua, Rasas, Armani Absolute...This would be redundant....To me...Smells like a much better quality version of the Zara line of Invictus scents, it lasts a good 4-6 hours, only need a few sprays and just don't over spray cause it can easily become cloying since it is pretty basic.....Basic in a good non-offensive way. If on a budget, want Invictus vibe, Run wild is hard to beat....I don't get the Wanted comparisons....Wanted is much spicier to my nose, much more aggressive and loud, this is actually more subtle than invictus and more "Mature" but still has the younger vibe.....I love wearing ADG absolute a few times a week in summer, and this is not the same "Quality" but pretty close to 99.9 percent of the population who doesn't analyze every note, performance etc....Mass Appeal and flat out smells clean, fresh, and non offensive.....Again, don't over spray or it will become annoying to you and others around you. Just go 4 sprays max and you are good. Thumbs up. Davidoff makes frags every bit as quality as Montblanc and many other "More Respected brands"....If you want more of an Aqua Invictus Vibe.....Coolwater Wave is another steal for $20....I prefer it over legend spirit and many others and it lasts in warm weather, not a 2 hour scent as everyone seems to complain about summer scents....In heat they last longer.

I bought a Run Wild giftset with the deo stick. I like to wear designer deo sticks to the gym instead of actual fragrance... because wearing fragrance to the gym would be cloying to all those around me (myself included). This is very sweet, clean, and fresh spicy. Yes, it smells similar to Invcitus and Wanted. It's sweet as both those but in a "lighter" way, if that makes sense. My first time wearing the fragrance, a woman stopped me at the store and said, "Excuse me, what are you wearing? It's so nice! It's so fresh and clean and airy!" Another time, a guy said "I dont mean to come off the wrong way... but you smell so good! What is that?"

What a pleasant surprise. If you grew up chewing Juicy Fruit Bubble Gum in the yellow pack, you will love this! Even though there is no banana or pineapple listed in this, the combination of everything together gives off a tropical spicy sweet bubble gum vibe. This is softer, more aromatic and airy then similar fragrances like Invictus, Wanted By Night and Spice Bomb Night vision which are fuller and denser and slightly more flat. David Off Run wild is my favorite of the 3. This is a Swiss army knife of a fragrance in that it can be worn any season and casual/formal during the day.

I think I've paid over the odds for this, but as it's discontinued, I don't feel so bad, I've read many comparisons between this and Invictus, I get what people are saying, but when it comes to sweetness, this one is altogether more subtle, yes it's sweet, but it's also warm and spicy. I'm not a fan of the original Invictus, but I love this, and will ultimately use it very sparingly. Nice bottle and packaging, dare I say this is so much better than some of Davidoff's current offerings. Performance was very, very good.

What i learned from the reviews of fragrances like Dior Sauvage and D&G The One EDP is that to NEVER TRUST REVIEWS OF OTHERS as i bought the two and was put off by the nasty smell of them both. This on the other hand seems to contradict the reviews yet again as Davidoff Run Wild was a fresh familiar but yet different scent i picked up at a department store. Nevertheless bought the smallest available bottle to be safe and i have to say i now am looking forward to another bottle.

I was taken aback by the strength of this. It is very powerful, does fill up a room, and longevity is also good. As for the scent itself, it seems to have a very strong green note and also a bitter aquatic note at first and for a long time, and in the advanced drydown, it does remind me a lot of stronger with you, but much greener. I love it, even better than stronger with you.

Shame on the folks who keep on misleading others making them believe that this is some reincarnation of GoodLife (1998). Let me be very clear: ITS NOT. Run Wild is an overly sweet, greenish generic fragrance, a far cry from the fig heavy masterpiece that was GL. Run Wild is the final stab into the heart that was once so beautifully Davidoff.

Pure disappointment! It smelled bold, radiant and sophisticated on paper in the store, reminding of fresh grass and summer rain. However, on skin it smells like a cheap shower gel or a window-cleaning liquid. A, simplistic, heavy toxic odor that you will want to wash off your hand as soon as possible.

Better then Invictus by a mile. So many compliments from the ladies had one say it smells delicious and had a few dudes at my local gym ask what cologne am I wearing. Get your game up stock up while it still found for under 30$ bcuz trust it will go up in price! ✌✌✌

I don’t have Invictus to compare this to. But I like it! Crisp and green. Sweet but not unbearably. The sweetness makes it good for bright, clear, winter going into spring days, when I start to tire of winter heavy hitters Lasts long on me. A good 6/8 hours

I'm picky when it comes to aquatic and freshy type fragrances because they all smell the same to me and generic but this is different. This smells quite good and different than what I expected. Doesn't deserve the negative reviews it gets.

It's worth a £10-£15 pickup its got fairly good performance it's nothing ground breaking but for a dumb reach fresh slightly green fragrance it is very similar to icon elixir by Antonio bandaras

I had high hopes! But it's just another sweet and somewhat fresh scent. It's not bad at all but meh.. Been there done that. The bottle along with the colour of the juice is just gorgeous though.

Reading the notes sounds amazing simple yet fresh aromatic green spicy and warm, less is more overall looking forward to Run Wild The commercial is Animalistic I think it's a WINNER!

Running Wild is Davidoff's answer to Azzaro Wanted. It has very similar character. But. It's lighter, less denser, less pusher and less agressive. Much more better and nicer.

Plain and simple - this smells like Invictus and is a shame for a house that created Zino, Cool Water, Relax, Good Life and other great stuff from 1980-2000...
