My third sampling of Day Three Fragrances is Bani, a fresh, tropical, fruity/floral blend that’s brightly delighting from its onset and remains so into the dry down, with robust notes of mango, orange, bergamot, jasmine, magnolia, coconut, papaya, with the fruits handing off the lead role to the florals from the top to the heart, and then eventually giving way to a dry down of sugarcane, sandalwood, and musk. It’s really superb, one of the best executions of a realistically fruity/floral blend with just with the right amount of greenness to make it seem realistic but not take away from the edibility of it. I really love both the opening and dry down phases alike, and it performs quite well for a freshie, a great version of a “fruit salad” (not solely mango or citruses, even—there could be some other stuff in there, to my nose) -type fragrance with florals, woods, and musk to add some sophistication and roundedness. Bani is EDP concentration and is pried at $225/130/35 for 100/50/10ml, roughly the same as the other fragrances in the house, very reasonable in my opinion, and is sold through the house website. I’m continuing to enjoy sampling this house and look forward to me. 8 out of 10

This opens with a gorgeous photorealistic smell of green mango with the leaves still attached, freshly plucked off the tree and hints of juicy orange. There’s a slight aromatic freshness here thanks to the mango leaf, and the sweetness here is subtle, and in no means strong. The heart of this introduces some creamy coconut blended with sweet and slightly heady white florals. The jasmine and magnolia shine the most, the mango still present. It smells like fragrant flower bushes with mango trees nearby. There’s a hazy muskiness present from start to finish as well. The base of this feels like a tranquil calm of powdery woodiness and earthy naturalistic sugar cane. This is in no means gourmand or sugary sweet, this is raw sugar cane with a creamy green earthiness to it, hints of fruity florals lingering. This is a unique take on a tropical fragrance that I think works beautifully.

A feast of sweet and juicy slices of mango, passionfruit, and various citrus' on the back porch of your hotel room. The smell of the clean white flowers and cedar chip mulch planted around the hotel caught in the coastal breeze. Life is good. Man this is some good stuff, I've been looking for a true mango fragrance forever now and I am so glad I found this. Off first spray this is a bright, sparkly blast of sweet and bitter citrus with juicy and super sweet mango. It is so delicious yet still so fresh, this is the kind of fragrance that puts a smile on anyone's face. Then creamy coconut milk and clean white florals come through. After this powerful the delectable and sultry cousin of "Del Mar" by this same house. This is vacation in a bottle. Room filler off first spray but sits within arms reach after the blast and sticks on me a really nice time for a summer fragrance 9/10

I definitely get the mango leaf as advertised. It's not at the forefront as you'd think, it opens with the mango leaf and citrus. The coconut note is present throughout, and my god what a beautiful symphony it is. Just like with VIW, you have that beautiful coconut and fruit scent. However, the underlying musk makes this a step above VIW in my opinion, and for a fraction of the price I'll be looking at getting 1-2 full bottles when they have a sale. Compared to VIW, this feels clean, refreshing and ultimately more versatile as it doesn't smell purely like a vacation. I have the sampler set and will be going through the rest this month, this is my first scent from the house I've worn the sample through (2ml).

Imagine fruit salad. You know that stuff that’s served at grandma’s house in the middle of summer during a cookout. Then. Imagine the same instance but you’re in the Caribbean. Fruit salad but all the fruits are different than what this Ohio native is used to. It’s not too sweet which is why it can lean masculine. Not too many white florals. Once again this pulls it unisex or slightly masculine. Some sort of peppery note, very light but again pulling it slightly masculine. This is not Erba Pura or Accento Overdose. No scratchiness. The coconut is subdued enough to not stink like a tanning salon. So good and can’t wait to wear it in the heat of summer.

I really love this. Reminds me of sniffing a green mango while walking through the jungle. Green, luscious, with hints of floral drifting in and out. This impresses me as both masculine and feminine. I don't want to say unisex because I think it really is both. Yes, I understand the def of unisex, but I prefer masculine and feminine in this one case Just wish it lasted longer... I wish it played out more slowly. Maybe I'll try again in summer. Maybe I'll get 50ml I'll have to think. But I would pay a lot more if it had a little more sillage and longevity. Really nice juice!

This scent feels like I am on vacation in the tropics surrounded by warmth and mangos. The best way to describe it is invigorating fresh without being overly sweet mango. It’s so refreshing to have a different take on mango that doesn’t just overload the sugar. There is a little contrast with the freshness of the mango leaf. The musk is soft and not overpowering. This is the epitome of summer in a bottle. Artistic but refined and extremely wearable. Easy to wear day, night, warm, cold, all around perfection.

This perfume is soooo good. It's the skin of a green unripe mango, soaked in sweet coconut milk, with hints of freshly squeezed Orange juice amongst the base of a ripe papaya. I would even wear this throughout the fall. Such a unique, fresh, yet bodeline Gourmand scent. Favorite from the sample pack, and looking to get a full bottle. Just yum. It's accords are balanced in the sense that it's sweet but not too much, earth, musky, fruity, citrusy, etc in just the right amount. I'm truly impressed.

I got the discovery set. This is shades of, and must be inspired by Annick Goutal.. absolutely beautiful. It smells like sables and nuit etoilee had a baby! Wonderful stuff. Definitely a sexy sexy scent. I don't like to label everything as sexy, but this is that! Papaya, magnolia, and bergamot run rampant. Vegetal, fresh, sweet. The sweet is NOT over bearing! Wow. This is after 20 minutes on wrist. A+ from D3F!

Not sure why this isn’t ranked higher, this is a great blend! It delivers quite nicely, the fruit smells are very realistic, with absolutely no synthetic hits at all. It has many layers and you can almost smell them all as it dries down, although I would say my nose gets more of the Bergamot and wild orange strongly at the beginning. This house is making really great perfumes!

As someone that loves mangos and heard this was mango heavy with the fruit, leaves and even sugar cane I knew I had to get my nose on this. This is a great tropical fragrance that immediately makes me reminisce being by the water in Miami. Love at first sniff and definitely getting a full bottle of this as well

This is a bright cheerful mango and floral musky fragrance with great longevity and easy reach. Can’t wait for the weather to warm up again. I’ll be wearing this through spring and summer

barely ripe mango with citrus and a creamy coconut that dries down into an earthy musk, amazingly delicious scent and exactly as described. the mango almost ripens more as it dries down.

It's like stop in town buy a bag of mangos banilejos and eat it at the beach specially if you use bani oil first, you can't get better than that

I got a few good wearings while I was in Florida in 70/80 degree weather. This is a sweet mango scent that has hints of coconut and a nice dose of a sweet sugar cane accord that is addictive. Like I stated in a prior review this is on the verge of sun tan lotion in mildly warm weather (50-60) but in actual hot weather this smells more like an actual fragrance to me. This sat close to my skin and my wife confirmed as she needed to come close to get a smell of the scent but it lasted over 12 hours on my skin and until the next day on clothing. This is with a hefty amount of sprays (10-12) from a 10ml decant sprayer. This would be great for close encounters in warm weather with its average/ intimate sillage. I like this one a lot I just wished it pushed a little better but it's fine for what it is. If your into semi sweet scents I would give this a try. A little pricey for a full 100ml bottle but the blend and the quality is very nice I should add. Very much sample worthy.

Another sample I've sprayed on from their discovery set and it is still delightful. Another really beautifully and well crafted fragrance. It isn't for me as I do not care much for mango, but this comes off like a fresh clean linen with a high grade laundry detergent and fabric softener. Thats the vibes I get. Fresh, clean, fruity and floral. It leans feminine to me but can be worn by men as well... so Unisex to Femme. I like it, but it isn't something for me to reach for. Another great fragrance by this house.

This one is amazing off the rip. As I get into the far dry down it's reminding me of tanning lotion in a way. Which reminded me why I don't really get into fragrances with coconut in them. If they could capture the first hour and bottle it Id buy a 5 gallon. I will come back after a few more wearings for a proper review. It's a love that dried down to a like.

Nice inoffensive Lotion/Shampoo smell that is enjoyable during the spring and summer. I get the coconut, bergamot, sugar cane combo off rip with a nice green soapy element incorporated into the fragrance. On initial spray, it seems like the sillage and longevity will be good compared to other fragrances in this scent profile.

Deja is spot on. Tropical and floral but geesh the musk note is dialed up. It's rated as the 2nd most noticeable note for a good reason. 100% unisex as it truly does not lean 1 way or the other and performance is all day. If you like this one the try Zoologist Bat as well as Byredo Pulp.

I really like this. I just wish it could be "dirtied up" a bit to be slightly more masculine without killing that tropical suntan lotion vibe. Maybe more musk or some rum... I'll take it with me to Hawaii on my next trip.... Let's see if it grows on me a bit more. For now a Solid Like+

Burst of Mango in the front. Creamy coconut with a sunscreen vibe. Toss in a small amount of green. Then make it last about 3 ish hours. Maybe 4 at the most. Great scent. 3rd one from the discovery set for me. Great for summer. Wish it lasted a bit longer. But profile wise, I like it.

Smells like shampoo in a high-end hotel. Very pleasant and clean smelling. The mango is not very strong, I was hoping it would be fruitier. I prefer Killian Moonlight in Heaven as a fresh coconut and mango fragrance.

I get buttery mango with a lot of powdery musk. Interesting combination, I wouldn't say it was necessarily only a summer fragrance. I'm wearing it on a 780 fall day and it works. It's not similar to VIW in anyway.

I really enjoyed wearing this during these hot days. I do feel like I am vacationing in an island with the lotion/sunscreen smell and sweet fruits. I personally enjoy that the sweetness is nicely balanced.

I'm surprised people say its female leaning, for me its not even unisex, straight up male cologne. More sour than sweet. Nice everyday freshie, when you just don't know what to wear.

This is more green than sweet to me but still a pretty, spring scent. I think it’s unisex

A beautiful green/fruity scent that's gone within an hour. Day Three is a house of extremes, it seems like. Aylan and Ambar Dominicano are basically nuclear and last 12+ hours on skin, while Bani and Escandolo are gone nearly instantly. Escandolo especially. I don't think I've even been able to properly smell Escandolo because it disappears on my skin nearly instantly, not even lasting five minutes. Bani is a gorgeous scent while it does last. It basically does for mango what Philosykos does for fig. Super green and fresh smelling, not dirty or fermented at all. You can basically smell the fruit, the trees, and the leaves on that tree. I'd probably still buy it if the price point was different, but I just cannot bring myself to justify the price for something I'll have to reapply every hour or two.

This is a really nice-smelling fragrance. It's bright and uplifting, citrusy and floral with an undertone of coconut, along with plenty of musk, which seems to be a Day Three signature. The fragrance works well, and it will last a good 4 - 6 hours. The dry-down is stronger than the opening, so give it ten or fifteen minutes to open up. Unfortunately, it has almost no projection or silage. For some people, that's ok; the scent is for them. For others, it's a deal-breaker. At retail price, it's a lot to ask for a skin-scent.

This is a nice fruity, musky scent, but isn't feminine enough for my taste. I wish it were just a bit sweeter. It smells a bit cologney on me and I don't like that. Nice for a boyfriend though.

Citrusy, definitely unisex. Only slightly sweet. I wouldn’t immediately say I get mango- more so just citrus. Refreshing but not as tropical as I expected.

This smells weird. Maybe I'm not familiar with the scent of mango enough. I smell a sour banana like fruit, coconut and wood shavings. I feel like this might smell like body odor on someone.

This is not what I expected. Not like the review the YouTuber gave. I guess with her kickback she had to big it up. This drydown is awful. Very screeching powder finish. Scrubber this is.

The opening is nice but the dry down is a cheap tj max fragrance. It smells exactly like Calvin Klein one. Trash because it is not unique.

It’s sour and sharp at first then after about 2 hours I’m left smelling like a dirty musk. I hate this

I recently received the nine Fragrance sample kit to try the whole house of day three fragrances, and I must say of fresher offerings this one definitely is a home run . I applied bani at about 10 AM this morning and it’s about 8 PM now and I am still catching wafts through the air. I wore it to the gym the other night for something fresh and somewhat sweet but not thick or dense and I absolutely loved it. Their sample kit comes with $35 off a full bottle and I had to order a full bottle of this with Summer right around the corner. it last long and this is a must have too me when it comes to the summer here in Florida, can’t wait to see how it comes off my skin with that summer heat. The mango note is delectable. Honorable mentions from the brand, “Say less” if you like Iris fragrances. Banger. “Filosofia” smells exactly like a cigar. Solid if that’s your vibe, not full bottle worthy for me. “La tacita de café” is a banger Gorman sent with coffee and other sweet notes but not unique enough to want a full bottle. And the other most interesting and unique offering from the house in my opinion was midnight whisper, a bourbon whiskey and rose fragrance which I may get a full bottle of in the future. Elegant and unique with great performance, awesome Fragrance. Awesome house.

mmmm yummy sunscreen linen hotel lobby beach house mango scent. love this one, i havent had many fragrances that actually make me feel like im somewhere else while smelling them, but this is one of them. out of the cap, this smells like the yummiest sunscreen you could ever put on, almost like the inside of a freshly cleaned beach house. it's not listed but i definitely get a salt feeling, may be from the slightly bitter/green mango leaf note, but idk. on skin, the mango comes out imediately, and it's very realistic. same clean linen/sunscreen feel with a juicy mango pulp squeezed over it. absolutely stunning, and this house does a stunning job of making things smell multidimensional off your skin. almost like i can feel the smooth round skin of the mango as i smell it and also the soft sheets that just recently got cleaned in my hotel room. performance... not great. i mean i can smell it on my skin for a while but it fades super quick. i try to do like 3 sprays in the same area on both sides of my neck to help it work longer which ive feel like has worked (naturally so, not groundbreaking at all). great juice! really loving day three so far.

This house just doesn’t miss! I have 6 of their 12 fragrances now and they are all so good! Bani is a really good, tropical, green mango and musk scent. You get great citrus, florals, and sweetness in it too, but the fruitiness with the musk plays so well. There are several other mango fragrances that have been really hyped over the last couple years, but they’re really sweet, yellow mango and just come off SO synthetic and screechy! Bani, however, is nothing like that. For me it’s the best of the mango fragrances out right now. I also love layering it with Day Three Del Mar, or CREED Virgin Island Water for a super tropical vibe! Amazing work all around from this house and just a beautiful scent that works really well for me in the heat!

This is a realistic mango, creamy coconut and musk goodness. It’s soft, inoffensive, perfectly unisex. I’m surprised people don’t talk about it more, I discovered it in a small shop in Budapest and have been holding on to my sample until I can get my hands on the full size. VERY similar to Moonlight in Heaven by Kilian, which I also own and adore.

Bani Is amazing I get Mango and a Citrus pop, the green smell Is from the Mango leaf is definitely there. The coconut,magnolia jasmine man they really work well together. The sugar cane with a clean pronounced musk to give a nice scent trail This is a high heat daytime fragrance Spring,Summer, Autumn can easily be worn 3 seasons in the South!

Reminds me of bit of virgin island water in the opening if it had mango. I get the lime, coconut, florals, sugar, and musk. Then the buttery mango notes start to dominate the fragrance. If the opening continued for the duration of the fragrance this could have been a lot better

If you want to smell like the creamiest smoothest fresh green mango that you have ever smelled it’s this. This is vacation in a bottle, this is a day on a beach with a mango magarita, this is just gorgeous

Really nice fruity fragrance. I think it's unisex with a slight fem lean. I'll give it a few wears and see how I like wearing it. My gf likes it so if I decide it's not for me, she'll gladly pilfer it.

Its really masculine in my opinion. Too green and orangy for my taste. Glad I just got an decant.
