Leather Forever Royal Arabian Edition

This was a blind buy based on reviews, scent profile, and my obsessive quest to get my hands on every leather I can. It went from blind buy to signature scent at first spray! It reminds me of Dior Leather Oud but less honey and less barnyard (although I have a mild objection to people who think DLO is the least bit barnyard. I think I know what they mean, and Leather Forever Royal Arabian Edition is less so.) It is summer right now in Florida, and this is better suited to winter and more formal attire, but this stuff is just SO GOOD. One or maybe two sprays to have an unobtrusive workday smelling great, but this frag definitely scales up with additional sprays. I can't detect any saffron but otherwise the "Perfume Pyramid" is pretty fair. Performance is perfect: it can be a banger if you overspray but if you want to just hang in a haze of awesomeness it can do that too,

Boldness bottled! Quite a polarising masterpiece. Leather with whiskey notes at the top followed by Leather + earthy notes at mid and Leather + softer notes at dry down...almost a reverse pyramid from most designer fragrances. In a poetic way epitomises a rugged male with a softer interior. Amplify the impact with Extrait concentration. Makes for a fascinating wear and while I struggle to find occasions to wear this, for now, treat it as an art form to behold and enjoy albeit in an expensive way. Leather fragrance with mildly sweet earthy notes - test before you buy! Shukran Habibi!

Very beautiful, Excellent perfume, simply bomb, no words, so beautiful that it can't leave my nose, very pleasant, soft, doesn't scream high level

Leather Forever Royal Arabian Edition is a nice leather + fragrance. What I mean by that is, it's a leather fragrance with other accords to tone down the leather, so the wearer doesn't end up smelling like a leather chair or leather gloves. While Leather Forever RAE doesn't smell similar to Tom Ford's Ombre Leather, it has the similar leather + impact, although Leather Forever RAE is much better done, IMO. Leather Forever RAE does open with equal parts of leather, a boozy accord and sweet fruity accord from the dates and figs. As it dries down, the sweetness pulls back significantly while the boozy accord only slightly does so. The woody notes become more prominent. As it evolved, the leather, woody accord and boozy accord became very well blended with a subtle sweetness to top it off. Leather Forever RAE has very good longevity and good projection. Strikes me as quite masculine and well suited for formal occasions. Note that Leather Forever RAE is completely different than De Gabor's Leather Forever fragrance. The latter is is quite animalic while that's hardly the case with RAE. For me personally though, Leather Forever RAE is a bit to timid on the leather accord. While I too like leather + fragrances, it was too light on the leather for my taste. The other thing going against it for me is price. In the US, it's just under $400 for 50ml. IMO, it's not that special to warrant that price.

Very similar to its little brother but with a bit more funk, clearer hindi oud profile. Dry, with nuances of cacao, butter and leather (mostly from the oud itself this time). Also has a honeyed touch as well as wild white flowers coming forth after the perfume has settled. There's a smoked, earthy herbal facet in here that I can't pinpoint but that makes this edition feel a bit more serious in comparison.
