This opens as a photorealistic ashtray. If you are repulsed by smokers, this is definitely not for you. I was taken aback by this, it literally smells like the hair of someone who smokes a pack a day but is still a clean person with good hygiene. After fifteen minutes or so it has kind of a boozey accord, like the breath of a clear liquor alcoholic. The cigarette accord is the cleanest possible version of stale smoke possible, I think most would hate this but as a former smoker it was actually very nostalgic. Let's be clear, this is not a tobacco accord- it's cigarette butts in a darts bar ashtray. I was kind of enjoying the first thirty or forty minutes of wearing this before it descended into abject horror. Under the smoke and booze it started to smell like pecorino romano, not nasty necessarily just kind of funky in a way that was not working with the rest of it. After about an hour, all that's left of it is just this reek of hard cheese and dried vomit. I had to scrub off and change my shirt (the shirt still stank a week later when I remembered it was still in my bag). I absolutely love DB01 and DB27 was okay to me, I was surprised this new house had something this repulsive in their lineup right out of the gate. It's not "challenging" or just too animalic or whatever; it straight up stinks like butt.

The good: rich, complex, high quality. Very good staying power and sillage. The bad: stinks (Jokes aside, Im sure this is for somebody. That person is just not me. Its mature in a masculine way, I smell something like camphor in the opening thats really throwing me off. The opening was like carmex and leather, but it settled into something kind of soapy/leathery/powdery. I don't hate it, but its not for me. Unfortunately it won't wash off my skin)
