Fragrance 02

Wow, green. Cool, but warm/contrast. Tart. Spicy, but brisk and bright. Nutty, ooh. Hazelnut? Not nearly as heavy as I feared. I like this. Probably my favorite first impression from my six-sample tin. And this was a last-minute pick! On skin: This is nice. Nutty and warm and a bit like Hanami (of old). Deeper. Arid. Slightly smokey. Wow, this is a bit of every note ever. Surprised there isn't bergamot or some darker citrus (bitter orange) listed. A woody warmth, but it's more vibrant than that. Dries to a patchouli wood, slightly sweet and on my skin a bit like lingering cigarettes. Beautiful, but...not really my fresh vibe. EDIT: I fell in love with this after revisiting it months later. It's incredibly smooth and clean. The smoky and green sharpness with that arid warm wood crispness lingers on my skin in a way I've never experienced before. It actually works with my skin's chemistry to emphasize dustiness in a way that's so beautiful and cozy. There's no phase of this fragrance that smells odd or offends. From top to bottom, on my skin, it's gorgeous. And the base (Milk) that lingers with the warmth...it creates a slightly-sweet woody cleanness that's stunning even hours later. Finally full-bottled it.

I think this is the only dedcool scent out of the sampler I picked that I want the full bottle of. It feels mysterious, and woodsy without going into Christmas-y territory. I personally never feel it warm up, but about 30 minutes in it gets this great juicy vibe that reminds me of red berries. It's a juniper scent that's boozy without smelling exactly like a gin and tonic, which I appreciate. The patchouli and sandalwood come together really naturally, so to me I never really feel like I'm in a hippy store. I will say that the first 10 minutes or so are super bitter, and after about 5 hours it gets to be kind of a non-descript woodsy skin scent (it's still good, but just loses complexity). I like it a lot, and it's kind of hard for me to describe! I think it's light enough for the daytime but mysterious enough for the night. For reference, my favorit scents are either fig or incense.

This is my favorite DedCool perfume and one of my all-time favorite perfumes in general. The juniper is really juniper berries rather than bark. As a result I think this smells very sweet and juicy rather than woody, though the sandalwood and patchouli base notes are noticeable and balance it out well. The sweet juniper gives more of an outdoorsy sweetness rather than overtly girly. It's a sexy scent for sure, and I get complimented every time I wear it. That in part is probably due to the incredibly strong sillage and longevity of this perfume. The scent really doesn't evolve much over time, so what you smell in the first hour is more or less exactly what you'll smell on hour 12. I've found this to be true for most DedCool perfumes, and I appreciate knowing what I'm getting.

I first smelled this in a small boutique and right then I immediately had to have it. I did some research after and discovered that the brand is non-toxic. I was surprised that it lasted as long as it did, because perfume usually requires a little bit of that poison to last. I guess it is woodsy, a little incense-y at first spray. The notes are patchouli, sandalwood, juniper, etc. This doesn't smell natural at all and I don't mean that in a bad way. It could be the presentation helping out here (plain bottle, generic name, barcode), but this smells like the future...clean, synthetic, androgynous. After the initial smokiness dies, what you are left with is soft and sexy, but with a little edge or bite. I love Fragrance 02..a perfect scent for the brave, new world.

earthy and woody, and she’s strong. I get whiffs all day long, it definitely lasts. 02 is my favorite dedcool fragrance other than milk which is an easy to love skin scent. i enjoy taunt but only purchase the detergent because that’s exactly what the scent is to me, a good detergent. most of the dedcool fragrances i’ve tried smack you in the face at first and then grow on you as they dry down. this one reminds me of christmas with the sweet and spicy wood notes but the juniper and florals feels really sophisticated. I’ve had this for a while and just started wearing it now that the weather is getting colder. i wouldn’t blind buy, dedcool in general feels like an acquired taste and fortunately they have great sample sets.
