It rarely something surprises me, but this perfume should be talked about openly, concretely and without holding back. Yes, the bottle was given as a gift, but not in order to embellish and beautify what I do NOT feel, but in order to openly publicly highlight what I feel and what it really is. And what is actually here? We have one cheap black box, and a completely black bottle without any name or label. And what secret is? Because this juice worth 190 euros for 50ml. What is here hiding? So let's start like this. We have a nomad, who lives his life harmoniously in his wooden house, far from the city bustle, asphalt and noise.. In his wardrobe, he has various precious stones, crystals, a pipe for cannabis, small ritual woods and spices, some dried flowers, he also wears a real niche of Scandinavian art-fashion, among other things, this perfume is also on the shelf. No, this is not a messy hipster-nomad, or I wanna be "nomad"... No, this is a way of thinking, a lifestyle and a principle, fully mindset and open-minded point of view of living. This is personal. In a really extensive and very nice rounded review written by Anastasia Privalova and she put on the table a more extensive picture of the brand itself, Scandinavian culture, fashion expression and style, she also touched on the description of this perfume. (thnx for that) But I will give it my full attention here and write only and exclusively about this perfume. The opening is magically woody, fresh, slightly spicy, balsamic, but waxy (a little oily) but more like some kind of aromatic balm/wax, and warm. In which there are hidden precious woods, (among others: Oud and Sandalwood) and one novelty, which is "modern wood". Described like this: "A CONTEMPORARY FRAGRANCE NOTE, REDEFINES SOPHISTICATION WITH ITS REFINED BLEND OF WOODY ACCORDS. A FUSION OF CEDAR, VETIVER, AND SUBTLE SPICES, IT CAPTURES THE ESSENCE OF SLEEK URBAN LANDSCAPES. AS A VERSATILE BASE NOTE, MODERN WOOD ADDS A TOUCH OF WARMTH AND CHARACTER TO FRAGRANCES" So we have much more than what is called "modern wood", here is much more than ordinary "modern wood" phrase. This is new, specific and very cleverly packaged wit so many undertones :) I like it! Chapter I Violet gives that powdery sense that falls on that sticky balmy/waxy undertone, but the warmth from this balm near campfire radiates and grows after 30 minutes of wear. This perfume has, you will notice, a slow development, slow but noticeable ;) The perfume goes into the sphere of woody/creamy/powdery focus, accompanied by green patchouli, slightly earthy notes and oakmoss. Oakmoss as a filter here that absorbs that freshness from the forest,(patch/vetiver) and gives a woody aromatic composition that develops organically on my skin. It is a dark perfume, but not a thematically "dark" perfume. I think that the perfume is actually a contradiction and a play, from the very concept of the black bottle, emphasizing the dark, mysterious, and mystical. ( But if I admit, it belongs to the category of dark perfumes, the word modern Noir would be ideal for this replacement of the word "dark", maybe Boho-Noir? xD One word for a very warm, sensual, apparently moderately fresh perfume composition at the beginning, which with its action seems to breathe, warms like some kind of medium, between the wearer, the skin. What is dark does not necessarily have to be cold, so I think that this perfume is an endless and interesting game that is very fun to follow. The whole perfume goes into the sphere of something so beautiful, powdery, creamy and sexual. The perfume lasts and lasts, and it projects very measuredly and tactfully. (Do not over spray for sure). I would like to mention that a slight cannabis tone is felt at the very very opening, but it is not dominant, but very very subtle, almost imperceptible. But it is transformed here I would say as a fresh addition to the bergamot? Structurally complex, diverse and very clearly blended and done.. Kudos to the author of the fragrance, a rising star who raised the bar of a gourmet perfume theme to an enviable level with Jany by Sora Dora. Kudos to the brand Dee April, kudos to the concept store Tadaima. A quick note. If this perfume had a presentation in the style of Xerjoff, Roja, PDM, the perfume could easily cost over 250 euros. This is an interesting psychological trick and approach, because it is not the same when you open a perfume in a box like Zara, or some kind of rich and luxurious presentation. In her review, Anastasia Privalova mentioned that her friend associates this perfume with Le Labo Santal 33 (personally, I don't think so). First and foremost, Le Labo is New York, the hustle and bustle of the city. And we still have the Danish nomad who wears perfume as his shield, from the city's spotlights, fixed with heated eyes. Dee April is Twin Peaks, a twisted David Lynch masterpiece, and Le Labo is Sex and the City on Sunday evenings, in the comfort of YOUR apartment on the 18th floor. Not the same. If you want in numbers? 10/10 for this rarity. It's wearable for me, and I see the beauty of this Danish dark kinkynes.

As was written before I do agree that this is carnal one, very sensual! More on the male side. At first you get almond and marzipan (yet dry and not overly sweet) subdued by quality dry tobacco intoxicated with smart alcoholic cocktail from high society gentlemen club ...10 hours later and it stays with you, nothing essential changed to worse as many other perfumes for sure can not promise... maybe tad more on vanilla tobacco side but...the only thing is I already smelled something very similar few years later. Not saying its not original but one or two ingredients to boost its uniqueness. But dont worry too much, its almost safe buy. Update: FYI recently I have found significant similarity to Pavillon Rouge by Jovoy Paris - see my review to get more info - and I tried layering them. Because Dee April is more persistent and stronger, you need to use much less of it, but the result is better than I anticipated. A much more rounded scent, the almost rhumy alcohol of Jovoy is levelled up to a distinguished juicier rounded cognac, the rawer tobacco is colored with very ripe blackberries plus a few raspberries without gaining useless sweetness and a completely new full-bodied animalic intercoursy tone enters the scene. The marriage of these two perfumes comes as hitting the nail on the head. BON!

Oh, this one's sexy! I can imagine wearing it during a night out in a city like Warsaw, Berlin or Budapest, spent wandering around with a group of friends, visiting rock bars with live gigs, making new acquaintances during breaks for a quick cigarette; just enjoying life without taking it too seriously. This is yummy, daring fragrance with intense leather (imagine a biker jacket from the 80s, inherited from your father), dark woods and tabac components at heart, mixed together with nutmeg and saffron to create perfectly smooth, seductive blend. Evokes feelings of both adventure and safety for me, leaning more masculine than unisex. Parameters are just phenomenal. I bought this for my husband as a birthday gift and all I can say is that it brings joy for both of us. I cannot stop sniffing him as he wears it; there's something so intriguing and appealing about Dee April, that I sometimes feel like taking a few sprays for myself ;)

This to me is like a "darker" , brooding, more unisex version of etui noir from miller harris. Where the latter leans more towards lipstick/cosmetics this one is more leathery and feels heavier due to stronger purple florals (violet alongside the iris/orris), the oud, oakmoss, tobacco etc. Lasts extremely long + projects well without being a headache inducer.

This fragrance has only given me compliments. But how surprising that this perfume can be under the radar, as it has all the qualities to be among the best. It has something that makes it unique, and you sense a lot, which only gives inspiration. Mysterious and magical in a sensual way. Wow.

Very surprising and positive experience. So far a 3 weeks relationship with this perfume, and still in love. The notes are well blended, it is hard to define, which makes it extra mysterious, daring and unique, but still in a pleasent way.

This is really good. Saffron and nutmeg is really doing its thing. Cannabis I’m not sure of but there’s definitely some aromatics in there. I’d classify this in the same family as Tom Ford Noir Extreme, without the sweetness and with more of a masculine cologne touch. However, it’s perfectly unisex in my opinion. Overall, really surprised by this fragrance. This will be added to my rotation for sure.

This is a stunning, sensual and luxurious leather masterpiece. Very well balanced and elegant, but with a streetwise urban finish. Love it.

...úvod je, na mé kůži, slaďoučkatý - velmi měkký , téměř plyšový tabák máčený ve vlaze hedvábné tinktuře z labdana a benzoinu, oslazený vláčně prachovou, tekutě jemnou ambrou, obarvenou/ochucenou tmavě modrofialovými květy fialek(zde stáčející se mírně pudrovo rtěnkovým směrem). ...úvod je promyšleně rafinovaný - protože si můžete myslet, že toto bude snadno nositelná a líbivá vůně (i když podle flakonu a ingrediencí jsem prvotně čekala něco ve stylu Black Afgano třeba...). Ne tak docela - pod oním neškodným a moc příjemným začátkem, pod tím, co je cítit nejprve, se po chvíli začne nenápadně, potichu, projevovat guajakové dřevo. Počáteční milé tóny se svým způsobem mírně rozmlží, dostanou akvarelovou podobu (jen svým vyzněním, nikoliv však "zřídnutím" vůně), vlastně se o své místo na slunci rozdělí s přicházejícím temnějším a ukotvujícím akcentem z guajaku, ono jinak těžké černé dřevo se zlatými vlásečnicemi v sobě a ještě k tomu, po další chvíli z dubových suchých dřev mikropilinky, spíše už jen prach z nich, padající do hloubky mechových polštářů... ...hlava v oblacích a současně nohy pevně na zemi. Dee April voní velmi lahodně. Vlastně nejlépe vůni vystihuje kombinace samotné parfumérky, její vzhled a černý masivní flakon (který se mi, mimochodem, líbí moc) - je to světlo a tma, je to jak šaty z pohádky Princezna se zlatou hvězdou na čele, když Lada chtěla šaty barvy noci poseté třpytem hvězd z půlnoční oblohy, jsou to požitky - tabák, siesta..., jsou to sofistikované hovory o čemkoliv, co máte rádi... A tak, jak píšu, na své paži vnímám i mikro nebo dokonce vymazlené nano tóny vintage - podprahová, luxusně subtilní chuť, jež cítíte při vstupu do zšeřelého italského kamenného domu v úzké uličce, zařízeného těžkým koženým nábytkem, mírná navlhlost kamene, dřeva i kůže, a možná někde zastrčený, schovaný zbyteček kvalitního jointa. Krásné. Luxusně sofistikovaná, elegantní dekadence (k vyzkoušení určitě doporučuji, není nutno obávat se jakékoliv nálože z čehokoliv) ((není to prostorovka, drží se u těla, moc hezky))

...konečně jsem přišla na to, odkud tuhle vůni "znám" - veliká podobnost s vůněmi Jovoy, způsobem jejich zpracování i jistou podobnost s určitými vůněmi - např. Pavillon Rouge hlavně, pak blízko i Dee April I., II. k Jus Interdit, Les Jeux sont Fais, Psychedelique
