Barbie

This is not what I expected but it’s definitely giving Barbie! Just a grown up young adult version of her. It’s soft and sweet, fruity and floral, feminine and clean. I’m rarely into florals but the ones in here are fresh and clean, not headache inducing. The fruits are sweet and juicy. The whipped cream and sandalwood make a great base for the rest of the notes. This doesn’t project far but leaves a beautiful soft “clean girl” trail. The lasting power is great! At least six hours on me. It’s not heavy at all and I love catching whiffs of it. I feel like a pretty girl wearing this. It’s perfect for a date, a meeting, a shopping trip with your bestie, anything really! Reminds me a little bit of Fantasy by Britney Spears without the sweet cotton candy aspect. Its really just the light sweet fruity part that reminds me of it. Overall I’m impressed and really loving this scent!

I had the travel size for about a year and it developed into an extremely grape-y scent that was sweet and had a slight more prominent whipped cream scent to it. I just got the full size today because i loved the travel but i think it needs to macerate some before I get the scent I fell in love with. Anyways straight from the full sized bottle the floral notes are definitely more noticeable along with the musk. Still wearing it every day tho but cant wait for it to settle into that rich sweet syrupy grape scent lol. Reading the reviews, i will say that I like how girly and innocent this perfume is and im glad that its more "barbie life in the dreamhouse" vibe because thats my generation of barbie so im slightly biased

Finally got this in the mail from Mercari and the first thing I thought about when I sprayed was it reminded me of opening some type of tropical Barbie and her scent right out of the box. That fruity, sweet, effervescent smell that Barbies had. I remember pressing my Barbie doll's head to my nose to get that wonderful Barbie doll scent. To be fair, I don't remember exactly what my Barbies smelled like right out of the box in the 80s and 90s... but this perfume immediately brought me there. It's a fun mature scent to me, the sandalwood grounds it from being shampoo gourmand. I don't have anything that smells like this and I love it!

This is one of my top five favorite fragrances in my collection! (of 81) It's so bright and juicy and uplifting. It reminds me of the fruit salads my Grammy used to make at summer family gatherings. The whipped cream adds a softness to the scent and the sandalwood makes it a bit creamy in the dry down. Over all such a beautiful fragrance and it last a really wonderful amount of time on my skin with a nice projection! I will definitely need a new bottle before this year is over :)

This is barbie summer 2023 bottled in a hot pink bottle! Sweet, fruity, floral, and dare I say, a little plasticy??? It's a hazy memory of gnawing on barbie's plastic shoes as a toddler, clouded by the scent of juicy red fruits and florals. While it dries down, the juicy sweetness softens as it's being enveloped by whipped cream. it's a love, from me! I'll wear it every spring and summer for as long as this bottle lasts me!

Just got mine in the mail! Initial blast smells similar to Prada’s Candy gloss, but sweeter. On the skin, the Pomelo mixes with the fruits, giving this a sour cherry smell. In the dry down, the pomelo dissipates and this turns into a soft foral-fruity fragrance with a dash of whipped cream. Overall, I like it and would definitely recommend this.

A joyful, candy-like fruity opening that cheerfully proclaims "Welcome to the Barbie World!" It gradually transitions into a sweet floral bouquet, gently grounded by hints of sandalwood and an enchanting, surrounding sweet cream base. A delightful experience that lifts the mood and brightens the day.

Let’s be honest, it’s a hot pink Barbie bottle. You know exactly what you’re getting. It’s a juicy, bubblegum tuberose without much depth or complexity. But dammit she’s pretty and cute and easy to wear and fun and bubbly. She IS Barbie and I am here for it.

Grapey. Sweet. Cherry. Bubblegum Tuberose. Think. My way intense / my way - just make it super fresh. And holy SHIT longevity. I showered and this still stuck around. 10/10 !

This smells superb, they did a very good job on this! Definitely can smell the cherry first! Is this really the first Official Barbie Perfume?

I definitely smell the mixture of strawberry, cherry and pomelo in the opening - without knowing the exact notes I can see how people are saying they smell grape, though. The fruitiness actually lingers for a while with this and not long after the florals begin to bloom while the sweetness of whipped cream becomes more apparent. Overall, the main notes I smell are strawberry, peony and whipped cream. Without looking at the notes I would describe this as a fruity hairspray scent. This will have you smelling like you have just freshly showered and did your hair. Youthful, girly, sweet, playful and flirty is how I would describe this perfume. Very Barbie in my opinion. I think this will translate well during any season, but spring and summer it will truly shine. Lasting power 5-6 hours on my skin and sillage is pretty good, not overpowering. I’m happy to have this in my collection.

This is really pretty! It’s kind of giving 2000s mall vibes but in a good way. It’s much more floral than I expected and actually surprisingly not gourmand considering the strawberry/whipped cream notes. The opening smells sort of like a lollipop — very sweet almost syrupy fruit, all over a really nice floral bouquet. I think this is a great pick for anyone under 30-35 although it might be be a little childish for an office setting. I feel like this is a perfume girls will love and men will be neutral on.

First Impressions (for my women): Listen this year I thought it was gonna be the end of finding my signature fragrance. Since all men are downvoting this cuz Barbie doesn’t cater to them. Just received my bottle in the mail. First of all the box and the bottle are so cute! On initial spray and for about half an hour after it has reminded me so much of the early 2000’s Ralph Lauren perfumes only fruitier. I have nothing in my current collection like it. It doesn’t have huge projection but I prefer that in a perfume. For the nostalgia, the wearability and the surprising uniqueness of this one, I’d say it was worth the price.

Starts off very harsh and screeching synthetic to me. I was turning my nose up at it for about 20 minutes. After that it goes through a very simple grape-y moment before landing on the whipped cream/musk/sandalwood that is just exceptionally pleasant. Nothing in the world to complain about with that and it lasted a pretty strong 6 hours. Definitely feminine. Nothing unisex about it.

I've had this for months collecting dust, I wasn't too fond of it when I got it. Decided to give it another go and I'm pleasantly surprised I like this as much as I do. It's youthful and nostalgic, a very Grape bubblegum/fruity shampoo vibe. If My Way and VS Pure Seduction had a lovechild, it was be along the lines of this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this fragrance!! It immediately took me back the smell of my playroom as a kid when I had a "spa day" with my barbies. Is light and fruity/floral, but also has some warmth once it dries down. The bottle is a total collectors dream too!!

The girliest scent ever dropped. A potential new jolly rancher flavor, and not in a bad way! Honestly it’s just really, really fun. I would wear it to something light and beachy and carefree. This might be the fruitiest scent I own but I keep coming back to it.

Laughing at the bitter men putting fake reviews of this perfume they definitely haven’t smelled because they’re mad a movie doesn’t cater to them. Personally I can’t wait to pick this up and will be back with a full review when I get it!

This is definitely a Barbie fragrance. If the pink spectrum had a scent, this would be fuchsia just like the bottle. Sweet, fruity, floral and feminine. The dry down even gives a whiff of doll-head.

i bought a tester of this fragrance and it’s aaalrighttt. to me, it’s honestly very similar to sabrina carpenter’s cherry baby fragrance. it’s very, very sweet.

This smells like the memory of foohy erasers!!! So I love it :)

The opening is sunscreen-like, which is not what I was expecting at all from a Barbie-themed fragrance, although it is a bit more palatable to me than something like Beach Walk from the Replica line. The sunscreen sticks around with the dry down, but grape candy flavoring comes forward, as well. The scent is very familiar - not like a Barbie doll, but maybe like another scented toy I had when I was younger? Or maybe a flavored lip balm or gloss that I was allowed to wear as a preteen? Either way, there is a definite nostalgia that comes with this scent, but I wouldn't describe it as too juvenile. I don't find it to be overly sweet and wouldn't think it was odd for an adult to wear this. I'm also not in love with it, but it is a fun fragrance I'll probably save for a few wears in the Summer.

This is syrupy sweet. It somehow has that grape juice, like Welch’s, smell. Very fruity floral. I get a hint of pomelo. I don’t get any whipped cream note. This is not an unpleasant perfume. I think it’s youthful and pretty. I just prefer the sweetness to be dialed down. The bottle is super cute with the neon pink. I only got it because it’s Barbie, nostalgia. BTW, who are these clowns who put this as male perfume? 11 as of February 4, 2025.

Top notes are very childlike, kind of a syrupy sweet fruit punch vibe. The middle notes are some pleasant florals but it’s hard to really pick up on them because the top notes last and are pretty overpowering. It’s not a bad perfume but I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite. My top pick from this house is Floret, so far nothing else has compared.

Grape scented melting plastic, but not in a good way...The plastic smell is off putting and isn't comaprable to when you have Barbie dolls as a kid. I'll let this one sit for a few months and come back if it smells as good as others say

Such a disappointing fragrance. I can't say I'm too surprised though- DefineMe has done other collaborations, like with Disney for princess perfumes (Snow White & Jasmine) and those are not great either. Their notes always sound better than they smell. Barbie sounds like it will be a fruity explosion, with floral touches and a creamy delicious dry down. But all it is it a blast of indolic florals! Mostly gardenia 😑 which is not my favorite. I really tried to like this but it smells so synthetic and cheap, it gave me a headache and unfortunately I have to part ways with it.

So this was super disappointing. I was angry in the first 20 minutes after it dried down and became nothing but floral. All I smell is gardenia and peony. I don't even hate those notes, but this gave me anxiety after smelling it for hours so I sprayed something more fruity to kill it. I don't know how any of you are getting fruity or sweet after 10 minutes of it drying. I also don't really get the whipped cream. Not worth the price.

I really like the beginning and the middle notes of this perfume (the fruits and flowers). Its is very pink and feminine. But I have a harder time liking the dry down with the vanilla and the hint of cinnamon (that is what my nose pick up) along with that plastic scent . So sadly will not get a full bottle of this one.

Smells like Light Blue + gummy bears to me. I don't like Light Blue, so it's very much not for me. I don't get any of the flower notes, just pure sugar.

Fruity floral, with a boring dry down. I was hoping for more berries and cream and less clumsy floral notes. I will be giving this away with a destash.

I got my hopes up and was let down. The fragrance notes and bottle sold me immediately. When it arrived I sprayed it on a perfume card and I was confused. I sprayed it on a perfume card in the evening when the weather was cooler and then on myself. I kept going back to it, but nothing improved. Grape bubble gum tape, rose (strong hold) hairspray, fizzy overripe dragonfruit and a bit of musk. I think this would make a great gift for a child. Super fun for a birthday. The bottle is gorgeous. I’m keeping it on my bathroom shelf. No need to temperature control, as I will never wear it, but the bottle is just too cute to declutter.

This smells like grape sweet tarts. To me that’s really bad. I hate fake grape flavor and they made me throw up once. The smell is really strong and juvenile and I can’t get it off. I was really excited for this fragrance but ALL I smell is grape. Nothing else.

IDK why I despised it so much. It’s screechy. It’s synthetic. It made me nauseous. I'll stay away from this one. The notes were so promising though, I was so excited...

The sounded so good and I was excited for it to arrive but all I’m smelling is heavy gardenia. It reminds me of a cheap bathroom spray 😞

This smells a bit like Cassiopeia from Tiziani Terenzi. To be honest, this smells better and is more interesting than that $300 fragrance I have. This smells good. I'm not surprised because all the notes sound lovely. My problem is that it performs more like and EDC than an EDP. I sprayed a tester strip several times and I had to get my nose right on it to smell anything. At $65 it's still affordable, but I wish we could get better scent payoff. My test strip actual feels sticky so I'm not sure why the performance is so poor. I suppose it would make a good hot weather fragrance. The only note I find questionable in it is the gardenia. The only Barbie I could imagine wearing a white floral fragrance is the original Barbie from the 1950's. It does keep it classy, though. I appreciate it being wearable for grown women as well as younger girls and being appealing to so many generations. It doesn't smell cheap, tacky, or juvenile; it is pretty, girly and playful...like Barbie! I don't smell grape, I have a fairly astute nose and I smell fruits, especially strawberry and something that smells tropical along with a white floral blend and peonies. There is a sweet smoothness with a creamy note and sandalwood. The sandalwood here is the sandalwood I love-it's so smooth. It's bright, fruity, floral and sweet. Okay, edit here. It's much more potent on skin. I don't get sunscreen or beachy at all. I REALLY love this sandalwood note. Without it this fragrance would be a BBW scent. This is really giving me TT vibes. Maybe an orange blossom and a green note would have been nice, violet leaf or fig leaf. I think if those two notes were added it would be perfect, and maybe a tad bit more musk. I can see men really liking this scent Not shocking, it's very, very feminine! I like this as much as Oriana and more than LDBS, which IS cloying. If there was a scent on the market already that I would associate with Barbie it would be Oriana. I would love to see editions of Barbie scents. Malibu Barbie, Astronaut Barbie, Fashion Barbie, Elegant Evening Barbie. I think that would be cool.

Define Me's Barbie perfume is a grapey white floral with a huge green/fresh peony heart and coumarin-like powdery dust from the grape Bubble-Tape roll. Strawberry? ...Where? Cherry? Maybe testing in another season would bring it out? ...I get none of that... The opening is mostly grapey candy but almost immediately the peony swoops in, recalling a sweeter version of scents like D&G Rose the One, and CK Eternity Moment. A glossy magazine type fresh peony sits front and center here almost like Versace Bright Crystal, swirled together with the grapey candy of Juicy Couture's Couture Couture in the genie lamp-looking bottle. After the peony makes a bombastic entrance, a very bold and surprisingly indolic gardenia follows, and stays, and STAYS throughout the remainder of the life of the scent, mothballs and all. This is no Sand & Sable, this gardenia has not been neutered, lol. Honestly I am really surprised by this Barbie scent. I'd say this scent is 85 percent floral, with fruity qualities, but it's a floral scent through and through. I would say that the new Pink Sugar Lollipink is WAY closer to what I expected this to be and compared to Barbie, Lollipink is a gourmand vanilla-peach sundae, while Barbie is the peony/gardenia-wearing magazine model that stepped off the page and into the ice cream parlor to have a bite of something a little (or a lot) more edible.

When I preoder this I thought it would be some tooth aching sugary vanilla pink bubble gum concoction which is not my kind of thing I am not a gourmand lover (not hater either)yet I still wanted a bottle I have a nostalgic love of barbie dolls plus who doesn't like a hot pink bottle of perfume,I am happy to say that this Barbie scent is not at all what what I expected Barbie by DefineMe perfume is a fruity floral scent the opening reminds of the original scent of finesse shampoo from the 80s followed by fruity notes I don't get the distinct scent of strawberries or cherry but more of an overall sweet tart berry note at its core DefineMe Barbie is a full on sweet floral scent with pink magnolias being the most prominent note to my nose ,when I first sprayed this on I immediately thought of Jullliet Has a gun magnolia bliss and Jullliet has a gun mmmn sans vanilla ,There is actually no vanilla in this Barbie scent the lack of vanilla was smart choice imho its what keeps this scent bright an bit more grown up . there is slightly aquatic peony note and touch gardenia as well I personally don't think the gardenia is as prominent as other reviews have mentioned The scent dries down into a clean musky soapy creamy floral . Overall a very nice albeit generic scent

I envisioned modern Barbie to wear something like L’Imperatrice but Barbie from another generation might have worn this, I just don’t know which one. It’s a white floral, primarily, with a fruity freshness. Barbie from the early 90’s or early 2000's probably would have worn this one. I typically don’t like Gardenia, people say roses smell mature but to me, gardenia always seems like a mature note. This perfume and Lovestruck by Love Shack Fancy give it a fruity, youthfulness that I can get down with. I appreciate that this is a perfume that can be worn by people of many ages, not just teens or kids because women of all ages played with Barbie and she has a novel place in all of our hearts ❤️ The bottle is very Barbie, but I wish it had just a touch more sophistication to it. I think the scent is better than the bottle advertises it as. I really like this fragrance! It's such a good, fresh, fruity-floral, pretty girl easy reach! I have some very complex niche fragrances but I also enjoy a girly scent when it's done well. It's potent, super fruity off the top, floral in the mid, and vanilla whipped-cream on the dry down.

This is quite literally the MOST Barbie-centric fragrance I’ve ever smelled in my life. Ever since the movie came out, I’ve been trying to figure out the answer to the age-old question: “What does Barbie smell like?” In my opinion, this is it — it’s spot on!! To my nose, it’s EXTREMELY sweet, almost too sweet. At first spray, it smelled extremely familiar and I was able to pick up on what it reminded me of right away — it smells very similar to V&R Flowerbomb Nectar & Azzaro’s Wanted Girl By Night (both of which smell similar to each other too) but with a hint of an underlying plastic Barbie doll type of scent. The plastic scent adds a uniqueness to this type of DNA, and though I found it a bit offputting and strange at first, I quickly grew to appreciate how special and “Barbie”-like it makes this smell! I find this scent to be really strong and it leaves a nice silliage in the air. Great for all seasons but def one that is a bit on the bolder, louder, sweeter, and girlier side

I’m seeing lots of negativity on here, which is somewhat understandable bc the notes are not what I smell. Another thing you need to know is this needs to macerate. Initially it had a strong grape candy smell but after a few months, it is less strong. If you don’t like gardenia, this isn’t going to be your cup of tea. I get sweet whipped cream, slight grape candy, red fruits, and gardenia in the top. To me it’s pretty linear, but it gets slightly more musky and less fruity in the dry down. It’s very sweet and fruity, but also floral. For reference, I love white florals and sweet scents. This is a great performer. Very feminine. Nothing creative.

Define me! A statement deep in semantics but superfluous in concrete terms. And, of curse, the association between a perfume, let's call it that, Barbie and the concept of politically correct. Because I hate these kinds of mix-ups with passion, I specifically state that the review has nothing to do with Barbie or the highly controversial movie. The perfume is a generic one, it's too much to say the designer one. They look like others on the market because that's the trend. It has some fruits and flowers but not well defined. It seems like a dozen because of the shrill, heavy glass. Score 3/10 from me. Thank you for your attention.

Why can't a house that can actually do this perfume and these lovely notes , justice, ever collaborate with Disney, etc!? Like Pdm, Kilian, Parfums d'Elmar, or Narcotica?! I'll even settle with Marc jacobs, Valentino, burberry or Viktor&Rolf!!!! lol. So disappointing. This idea has so much potential & it's been slaughtered EVERY time. The only house that does themed fragrances well at all is House of sillage, but their frags run 200$-450$, we need a decent priced frag, collaboration, with a house that will put in actual effort, and have the best fragrance artists on pay roll. It'll fly off the shelves if it ever happens...js.

Like others have said, this is a grapey, bubblegummy floral scent. This is very syrupy and not quite the fresh fruity floral I was hoping for, though the longevity is incredibly strong. Sadly this perfume didn’t work for me and felt oppressive when wearing it. It gave me a migraine so I decluttered. If you can’t get a hold of this and want something similar, go for So Scandal! by Jean Paul Gaultier. They smell almost identical to my nose.

I got this fragrance in the mail yesterday, I was so excited! I put it on and was almost immediately disappointed. I get a really strong Gardenia that overpowers any of the sweetness I was hoping for. I get a tiny but of rose peeking through but the gardenia is so strong i think this ends up not being what I had hoped it would be. It’s kind of mature for a Barbie themed fragrance.

Reminds me of Lou Lou. They say Lou Lou smells like Barbie dolls. But this one is really really smells like the original Barbie dolls head, much more than Lou Lou ever did. So unique. For me it is not My Way what I really love and have. Sweet with a little plastic. So loveable, not too much. So Barbie. Love it. Longevity is average..

I’ve seen just as many women as men giving the Barbie movie negative reviews. Please, let’s let the perfume speak for itself. Personally, I have no idea if the perfume is good or not, but generally this type of note profile doesn’t appeal to me. However, I will test it if given the opportunity.

I had to sniff this, even though it's not my prefered profile. And yes, I'm getting a sweet pink fluffy scent, like a berry-scented new plastic doll. It's actually pretty amazing for that, but it's not a scent I would wear as a perfume. I can see a LOT of nostalgia in this though.

Wait whatt? this does not smell how I thought it would based on the notes, this is very white floral and to me it’s almost identical to scandal le parfum, don’t hate it, don’t love it, I will give it some more time to see how I like it
