Nearly Noon

I actually really like this. I would say it is more of a "your-skin-but-better" fragrance, which is exactly what I was looking for. In the opening, I smell the rice quite strong, and also the fig, and then as it dries down it gets much more powdery, and the coconut really comes through. On me, it is nearly a coconut-dominant scent, although the combination makes it smell like coconut sticky rice/rice pudding. It is definitely sweet, and smells dessert-y, but not like a full-on, in-your-face dessert, which to me is a positive. It smells quite natural, like "oh, I just smell heavenly naturally". It is also warm, although I wouldn't say it reads spicy to me at all. Also not very woody, though maybe this comes through as that powdery undertone for me. I previously smelled "fig infusion", which I hated, because it smelled musky and somewhat dirty to me, so I was scared of the fig in this. However, in this scent, the very very light fruitiness/natural muskiness of a ripe fig actually really complements this already sweet and powdery scent, and actually makes it smell more skin-like, in my opinion. The lactonic quality is also accurate, though less like a cold glass of milk, and more like a mug of warm coconut milk - whipped cream is also somewhat there, although there is nothing cold about this fragrance. The saffron and cardamom I can only smell very vaguely, I think they contribute to the overall aromatic vibe of this, staying very much in the background, but warming the whole smell. Sandalwood and Amberwood do not come through as spicy, but rather as powdery, and also do not dominate this at all: I would say there is just a touch of them, also warming the general impression. Overall, this smells like you slept in a very clean, cozy bed during the day, and were warmed by the sun while sleeping. A wonderful, wonderful fragrance, in my opinion.

I enjoy this fragrance very much. It’s a rich, thick, custardy, starchy, rice pudding. It’s full of spices in the opening is where it smells the sweetest to me. The cardamom is very present. The rice is very starchy from the opening to the end of its life on the skin. The strange thing about this fragrance is that it gets significantly less sweet as it dries down more and more. It stays creamy, starchy, and spicy. The scent cloud is fantastic and pretty significant. It’s very cozy, warm, and milky. As with a lot of milky fragrances your body chemistry with them might be a huge factor for how this presents on your skin. If you’re familiar with and like starchy, milky, fig, cardamom, or vanilla fragrances like Sweet Celestials, Remember Me, Vanilla Eclat, Rima XI, Gris Charnel, or even Blanche Bete (I know this one is very different but it’s a thick milky fragrance) you might like this. It’s giving me a combination of Rima XI, Sweet Celetials, and Remember Me. It’s starchy rice and creamy like SC, figgy, milky, tea & cardamom like RM (cardamom is in all 3), and sandalwood & vanilla stand out in the dry down like in Rima XI. That will give u an idea of what this fragrance is like. Btw, the sandalwood in this is GORGEOUS. I don’t get any pickles at all. I fell in love with 2 fragrance’s this week but I keep going back, and back to this one. It’s becoming a love for me.

I'm so glad I found someone selling samples of this on mercari, because I refuse to blind buy haha. (even though i love SniffwithSteph!) To me this is not very 'rice pudding' forward. Rice pudding's main ingredient is rice and MILK. So I was hoping it would be more lactonic. It's mostly cardamom, sandalwood, cream, and coconut to my nose..... and a bit of saffron. Once it dries down it turns mostly creamy/sandalwood, with a strange rancidness...it's very subtle, but it's off putting. It's not a bad scent, but I won't be buying a FS. I will still trying to wear it more throughout the week and see if I feel differently. Update: unfortunately there is still something rancid and funky about this. After wearing it for almost 2 weeks. It's definitely a pass. My last update! After a month, this has actually really grown on me. Maybe the fragrance needed some time to sit, or maybe my nose just got used to the strong cardamom, idk honestly. But I think I might want a FS bottle after all haha. What an adventure!

I blind bought this after seeing reviews on insta, and I have to say I am shocked by the negative reviews here. I’m guessing it must be an individual chemistry thing, because on me this is a compliment getting across the board. The opening is strong on the fig note for me which I don’t love but after about 45 min to an hour that fades and it’s a warm, creamy vanilla rice pudding sent that smells edible without being over powering or synthetic. As the day goes on this settles into truly the most unisex SMOOTH sandalwood I’ve ever had the pleasure of smelling. This is going to be a scent that I keep in my collection for certain, it projects without suffocating those around you, and then by the end of the day is stronger than a skin scent but feels like a hug you want to stay wrapped in forever! I think if you’re on of us who this works with your skin chemistry, it really really works and is signature scent worthy where you smell delicious, memorable and unique.

As an avid follower of Sniffwithsteph on IG and with similar tastes in fragrances, I just knew whatever scent she created was going to be lovely. I was not surprised when I received it and immediately tore into the packaging to smell it, that my eyes literally rolled back in my head in pure bliss! From the juicy and bright sweet fig opening I was hooked! The subtle spicy note from the cardamom gives it warmth and depth and it settles into the most decadent creamy sandalwood that lingers for hours as a skin scent. Although it's gourmand, it's not super sweet and it's not a big projector. It will have your partner watching to snuggle in close to you, their nose against your neck, just to smell you! 10 out of 10! Steph has mentioned that DefineMe is going to have this scent available for a long time to come and maybe even have it available at retailers. Fingers crossed because I know I'm going to need more of this beauty!

This smells like risalamande, a Danish rice pudding we have at Christmastime. I am not typically a lover of gourmands, but this is so whipped and light that I actually love it. I detect mostly whipped cream and starchy sweet rice, with that delicate green note to freshen it up a bit, but of my two office mates, one noticed the coconut immediately, and the other noticed the cardamom. It does become less sweet over time, which I appreciate. The longevity is very impressive to me, I sprayed my pulse points and one spray on my shirt at about 8am, and could still smell this from a distance when I left work at 16:30. It projects quite strongly as well, filling my small office. Overall, this is not something I could see myself wearing daily, but I think I will buy a full bottle for days when I want to feel like a dessert.

This smells nearly exactly as the notes would suggest. It’s similar to Vanilla Eclat but this one is WAY better. You definitely get the rice pudding first and foremost with a good dose of cardamom. It is similar to other popular rice fragrances except this one is sweeter and more dessert like. I’m obsessed with this so far, I think the coconut note is really what makes this stand out and takes it over the top. If you are a coconut and/or rice lover then definitely give this one a sniff. Edited to add: the base of this is pretty similar to Zadig This Is Her (which I adore). So if you dislike that fragrance you will probably not like this either and if you do- you might love this. Maybe that’s why so many people hate this? It seems to be polarizing in the way that This Is Her is polarizing.

Vanilla Eclat, anyone? I'm getting a very similar vibe from Nearly Noon! I do love this stuff and and found that it has gotten even better with time. On me, it is a cozy, cashmery kind of oatmeal cookie- that's the best description I can come up with. I did have to use 15 to 20 sprays to get a good sillage with this fragrance, but found that the overspray gave me great wear and numerous compliments! Good stuff. My 19 year old liked it so much after I wore it as my scent of the day that she wanted to keep the bottle in her room! I think it's a great deal too, you can find good coupons for defineme and for a 3.4 oz bottle, $70 was a super deal. I wanted rice pudding from this but got more oatmeal cookie but still really enjoy it! Not overly sweet but very cozy and satisfying!

This is everything I thought Milk Orchid was going to be omg!!! It's warm and the perfect amount of spicy from the cardamom, but honestly, that creamy fig makes it very wearable in the spring time as well. Personally, I looovee a fig frag in spring. The rice pudding note is easily detectable and gives the entire olfactory experience a really unique and innovative vibe. I've never smelt a rice note done in this way before, and it's done excellently. I feel like I've spent years and thousands of dollars trying to find this exact perfume. THIS is my ideal interpretation of fig in fragrance - creamy, warm, fruity, and sweet. Brilliantly done. And great value here as well - very fairly priced at 100ML for $100. Bravo to the Bouleys and Sniff with Steph! Rating: 10/10

I ordered a sample as the cost to ship to the UK was very high and I’m so glad I did because it was love at first sniff. I immediately ordered the full size bottle because this is the most divine gourmand of the year. The notes are beautifully blended here - the sweet fig nectar opening, the spicy cardamom against the milky, vanilla base, the little flickers of coconut... Rice pudding is hugely nostalgic to me from my childhood and this reminds me of cosy, winter evenings with a bowl of my mum’s rice pudding and a hot, sweet cuppa to wash it down with. It is the fragrance equivalent of a hug with your grandma in the kitchen after baking coconut cookies. It’s not sexy, it’s not sophisticated but it is comforting and very cleverly done. I love it!

A gorgeous sandalwoody, musky rice scent with a bit of spices and sweet cream! The fig is present, definitely more on the ripe side than the green side- which I guess does give a bit of a tart/creamy Yakult smell like people have mentioned. It's like a greek yogurt bowl topped with oats, fig, and dusted with a random assortment from the spice cabinet including cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon. I see how this could lean sharp and too synthetic on some people, but it smelled pretty soft and well-blended on me. Didn't blow my mind, but I am a simp for a spiced, woody, starchy scent so this was definitely up my alley. Just wish the fig wasn't as present and maybe a bit less sandalwood too which would help with the sharpness factor.

I agree with previous comments that this perfume absolutely needs to macerate. When I first bought it, the initial few sprays, it smelled bad, like something spoiled. I nearly cried. But after about 3 weeks the spoiled smell disappeared and it turned into something irresistibly delicious. Now I have to say the cardamom is super strong and might not be everybody's cup of tea, but I love it. It's a dominant note for sure. I don't really get the fig or rice, which I am a little sad about. To me this is mostly a coconut, cardamom fragrance with a beautiful sensual vanilla and sandalwood dry down. I grew to love it, and wear it everyday. I layer it with Phlur vanilla skin body mist and it's a match made in heaven.

Such an incredibly unique fragrance! When I sprayed it for the first time I was cussing for 20 minutes because it’s so good🤣 It is a perfectly balanced gourmand that isn’t too sweet. The fig nectar note is truly right down the middle, not too green, not too ripe. The sandalwood is soft, creamy, and adds such a beautiful warmth and cozy feeling. The rice pudding is sweet and delicious with the toasted coconut adding a little nuttiness. It’s a lazy morning, wrapped in sheets, with sunlight peeking in through the window and the smell of brunch in the air. PERFECT for fall and winter. As someone who’s purchased over 100 fragrances in 2024, this is one of my favorites!

Lovely clean scent from hat is very strong it took my nose off but I did receive a bottle that was not new. I can’t smell the fig and coconut and sweetness of whipped cream and vanilla. And love the saffron and cardamom that sit delicately in the background. There’s no weird yakult smell o my skin from the rice pudding with me it just smells like the creator wanted it to a nice out the bath clean smell and laundry cosy vibe. I actually like it for after a shower perfume so it won’t be going in my perfume collection it will be going in bathroom perfume collection with my other straight out the shower routines for that reason.

Good clean scent think cotton and whipped cream Cardamom that drys down to a very clever take on rice pudding and coconut. It’s clean and comforting. Not food like but just enough of a nod towards rice and cream that it is nostalgic. Slightly spicy but in no means a spicy scent. This isn’t a milky scent that goes sour on my skin and is not jut beast this is nuclear. And proves people can make strong scents on a reasonable price. It doesn’t smell like eclat by navitus that one is more woody and not in a sandalwood creamy way. Which makes it more unisex. This is more light a soapy and feminine in my opinion.

This is absolutely beautiful, if you like milk orchid then you will be feral for this, this is milk orchid on steroids. Better longevity and projections. The cardamom in this is divine and really elevates the scent profile making it a fragrant gourmand, I can smell each note and they come together cleanly. It’s warm, inviting and enveloping. A perfume that’s truly comforting while still being sexy and boss bitch. I am not a gourmand lover, but this perfume is an exception! On my skin, it has a juicy nectar opening, giving space to the rice pudding accord which is not overwhelming. The fig is present throughout, with a gorgeous dry down that on my skin is a juicy sweet fig nectar intertwined, with a smooth velvety woody scent and a hint of nuttiness which I guess comes from the toasted coconut. My skin loves it! It’s moderate in performance which I enjoy as gourmands tend to be a bit too much for my nose. I look forward to wear this a lot! P.S.: My fiance sprayed it on him and it smells amazing on him as well.

this is absolutely what i thought milk orchid would be but a million times better! it's a nutty, creamy rice pudding with a fig compote spooned on top. it's cozy and comforting, almost edible! milk orchid had a strong floral note that was super distracting on my skin, but this one is so beautifully blended. the fig note isn't very long lasting, but the remaining dry down is still so beautiful. i would love a bottle of this one in the cooler months! as summer approaches, this might not be used as often, but i think it would be lovely for a cozy movie night in.

God i smell good. Opening is very green with the fig, then dries down to a beautiful, sweet, luxurious vanilla with creamy sandalwood and some rice pudding. Notes are spot on. This is slightly gourmand to me, but a grown up gourmand. She's paying her taxes and going to 5 star restaurants. Smelling this made me want to make a latte. This smells like laying in $400 linen bedsheets in a silk robe, with the sun baking you and everything is cozy and warm. The only downside to me is that the bottle gives tjmaxx vibes. Beautiful fragrance.

I had a bottle of this & sold it thinking I didn’t care too much about it because i’m not much of a fig girl. then I went on a rice note rampage trying everything with rice and HATING them (danaam white rice, one day taipei, navitus vanille eclat) .... I realized I was searching for that creamy rice note from this fragrance I missed. anywho bought another bottle & shall never sell this fragrance again! lol. very unique, creamy, cozy, just so lovely.

Absolute banger from Steph. It’s like a creamier, more gourmand version of Gris Charnel with an added coconut note. Indulgent, cozy, a little bit spicy from the cardamom. It’s like a hot chai tea topped with fresh vanilla bean and coconut flakes. It’s not too sugary at all - it’s perfectly soft and balanced. It dries down beautifully into a sexy, ambery sandalwood. This is such a comforting yet intoxicating gourmand, exactly what I was looking for.

This perfume is amazing is cozy, comforting, nostalgic for me. This reminds me of a Christmas tradition in Puerto Rico we are known for our Sweet Rice (Rice Pudding) Is woody, creamy the fig nectar the cardamon, coconut uff just yummy then the rice pudding the vanilla and sandalwood. Perfection is not sticky and overwhelmingly sweet is just right. Never smelled anything like this Steph nailed it with this! So go ahead and get it this is awesome.

I got a sample of this about a month ago, and right in the opening there was something quite sharp which gave me a bit of a headache so I put it away. I'm now back a few weeks later and absolutely wow! Such a creamy, yummy, sandalwood rice pudding scent after about half an hour. It smells like the cosiest hug from someone you love. I really wanted to like this one and I'm so glad I didn't give up on it because this is heavenly!!!

For starters, I did not like this at all when I first bought it. But I sprayed it out and set to the side for maybe eight months. I took it back out and gave it another try and definitely loving it. The rice pudding is the initial burst for me. But once that's wrapped up, it calms into such a beautiful lingering scent. I probably wouldn't purchase it again, but I'm definitely going to use up the bottle.

I know perfume is subjective so I will put my two cents in. I think it is unique and smells great. I blind bought it just because I like Steph so much and I am not disappointed. It doesn't have the best projection, but if you overspray, people will comment. I think it is fresh but cozy and not too sweet. I love it! I do not get the similarities to This is Her, the cardamon makes this one stand out.

This is a fantastic milky rice perfume that’s gourmand and slightly sweet without smelling too literally edible or sugared. The creamy rice notes persist for a long time, well past the when the bright cardamom and slightly green fig have faded, and longer than some other rice perfumes I’ve tried, like Santal Basmati and White Rice. A great cozy fragrance for cool weather

I love Steph’s content and adore this scent. I enjoy spicy fragrances like Gris Charnel, fig and sandalwood scents, so this was a no brainer. I recently paired it with Warm Bulb from Clue and omg love...the immortelle note is absolutely divine with this. Ganymede might overwhelm Nearly Noon, but I think the other notes in Warm Bulb just balance well.

The moment I smelled it, I knew that I have to buy! Such a divine fragrance, although I find some similarities to others, this is still one of a kind. It is unique and I think that all gourmands must be as sophisticated and comforting as this one. Creamy rice pudding with a spicy touch of cardamom that is tasty and so dreamy. My new, sweet discovery!

I had a house candle I loved that was made of primarily coconut cream and cardamom. This smells just like it! The coconut is very prominent, but not in a sunscreeny way. It's sweet but not sugary at all. It's cozy, creamy and likable. Thanks to the reasonable price point, I'll definitely be getting a full bottle.

Absolutely in love with the opening but the saffron comes in and hollows out the fragrance a bit. Still love the fragrance as a whole. This looses a lot of body from those beautiful top notes. The opening is nothing short of dreamy, but the amount of saffron here steals the show.

This was an IMMEDIATE love! I am completely obsessed with this cozy, sweet, spicy rice pudding dream! Wonderful job on this fragrance. It immediately shot up into my top 5 favorites and you can bet I will always keep it a part of my collection!

ITS KIND OF YAKULTY!!!!! i love the fig that comes through at the beginning with the lactonic notes!!!!!! its mostly lactonic but with a hint of fruit and its so so so good... it dres pretty vanilla amber!!! it worked so well on my skin

Just received this in the mail, upon first spray it is an immediate love. Very happy to have this in my collection. Reminds me a lot of Althair which my fiance wears often. I haven’t had a full wear yet, but looking forward to it!

The longevity on this is crazy, 12+ hours and it just gets more beautiful and comforting the ore you wear it. Cardamom is usually a miss for me but the coconut and fig and rice pudding makes this absolutely wonderful!

This is a very unique fragrance have never smelled one that smelled like straight up rice pudding with fig nectar sprinkled on top and spices, this wouldn't the best for a blind buy.

I ordered a sample of this from lucky scent and I’m in love! It’s creamy, warm, lactic, comforting. It’s just a beautiful fragrance and I’ll be ordering a full bottle for sure!

I love this cozy creamy scent, I can see myself wearing for bedtime. I just wish the atomizer was better. Squirts out quite harshly in my opinion.

Please refrain from judging this fragrance immediately after the first application. The dry-down is delightful and distinctive.

Amazing coconut rice pudding but not weighted down or too sticky

Hmm.. I wanted to LOVE this. The notes are TO DIE FOR, they sounded like my absolute dream fragrance. But first sniff it is way too savory and starchy. I suppose it’s the rice in the rice pudding but it is very off putting to me. But even real rice pudding isn’t this starchy scented. But underneath that..the warm cinnamon figgy coconutty goodness was there. I just couldn’t get over the starch note and that note stays for a very long time. I even had the return label ready to go. I decided to give it one last shot - I sprayed it on my scarf and left it overnight. And BAM. 8 hours later - absolute PERFECTION. The longevity of this is a beast on clothing. The starch note was gone and what was left was a cloud of perfect gourmand beauty. Literally my entire work team kept sticking their nose in the coat closet saying “oh my god what is that? It smells so good!” This was 3 DAYS after I sprayed it. So it’s a bit annoying knowing it takes 8-10 hours to be what I wanted it to be..and I can’t just spray on my skin and go. But as a winter scent I can spray on my scarf/jacket - HEAVENLY.

12 Days of Scentmas, Day 2 : Sweet, creamy, milky. This is everything a person who dislikes extremely sweet gourmands would want in a gourmand. I'm not fond of the sticky, pastry like, sweet perfumes, but I am rather fond of sensual, nectar like fragrances. This is delectable and so comforting, opening with a delicious nectar accord. I can't personally detect it to be a "fig" nectar, but it's definitely a deep fruity nectar. The cardamom gives it lemon-zesty start as well. As I wear this, I think of the days where I am home, it's cold outside, and I'm snuggled up watching my favorite comfort movie while the morning sun shines slightly through sheer curtains. Many praise the sillage on this and while it's extremely present the first hour or so, it does become a skin scent on me after. Longevity however is there, as I can still pick up this nutty musk like facet on my skin after 5 hours. Still unsure if this will be joining my collection as a full bottle, but it just might. We all need a little daily comfort in our lives.

Honestly this is what I was hoping Kenzo Amour would be. Its pretty powdery and perfumey, not an edible gourmand but the rice note is present enough for me. The cardamom and saffron are strong on the opening but literally fades within the first hour, to my dismay. I remember smelling cardamom saffron and sandalwood first, then fig, rice and coconut cream. Mid wear I mostly get a creamy sandalwood and coconut. Reminds me of natural deodorant scents, the ones that would be named after shea butter or coconut. The sandalwood, amberwood, and fig are I think what gives this that signature “perfume” smell that stands out to me, somewhat unpleasantly. In the realm of expensive body sprays in the $30-$40 range. Cheap but, not cheap enough for what they offer? Update: After 6 hours this smells 1:1 like Mix Bar Whipped Almond with a pinch more complexity (spice.) Overall 7/10 for me. Gave what I was looking for. Its pretty and dainty but a little too clean and meek to be a favorite. I’m a statement piece type of girl.

I tested this today and initially loved it but I’ve changed my opinion to a like. I get a creamy vanilla rice pudding with some chopped figs, a drizzle of chocolate and honey, garnished with freshly cut mint leaves. I love cardamom but it’s different in this. I guess the mint I’m smelling is the cardamon. I don’t get any coconut. This is so unique. fresh and uplifting, but also warm and comforting. This is a scent that could be worn for bedtime, a chilly autumn/winters day or night. It’s very long lasting and quite potent. The packaging is beautiful. My issue is I don’t know when I’d personally wear this. Im unsure I’d want to wear this outwith my home. I’m also unsure of the dry down and find the smell reminds me of shaving foam. Unfortunately since making that connection in my head, it’s actually put me off wanting a full bottle, but I’m still undecided. I do also see the potential of it being nauseating and overbearing. This is definitely not a safe blind buy.

I blind bought this fragrance. The bottle is beautiful and heavy, kind of vibes like a Regime De Fleurs bottle. The first spray is smells like a kircklands holiday candle, almost too overwhelming like it made me think of a cozy fall/winter home fragrance not necessarily something you would wear. It definitely smells warm and almost feels warm like it’s kind of schooling how they were able to do that. I feel like it is very strong so you would only need one spray honestly or I could see this being cloying and possibly headache inducing. It’s very thick after that but it is very lactonic and creamy. I think it settles into more of a thick perfume smell. It’s very unique. Smells like a very spicy Gris Charnel with vanilla heavy cream.

Unique fragrance. Very nice, exactly what it's supposed to be. Great notes, interesting nuttiness initially. I didn't pick up on the cardamom, but a little shelf time may reveal more. I've discovered I'm not a huge fan of "rice" notes. I find them to be a little stale, so the second time I wore it, I give it a dab of Diptyche L'eau Neroli, and it freshened it up enough so I could enjoy/assess it fully without being distracted by the note I didn't love. I suspect this will layer well with many fragrances. L'eau Neroli was perfect. This has just the right amount of sweet. It's an elevated cozy, not cloying like fragrances with musk. It walks a great line between gourmand, woody, and soft. Pretty dry down.

This would be perfect if it was toned down about four notches. I tested it for the first time yesterday; I sprayed one little spray on the back of my neck. I liked the scent, but it was WAY too strong for me (the cardamom, maybe??). I scrubbed it off, twice, with a dab of soapy water. The scent that remained on me after scrubbing it twice, was perfect 😆. Next time maybe I'll spray it on my knees instead of near my face. I have to note that I tested this in the middle of summer. I'm thinking this scent is suited more to colder weather. Definitely not rejecting this! Just need to figure out how to wear it so that it's more subtle of a scent, becasue I do really like it.

Initially hard to read. Strong spice and cardamum scent, very gourmand with sweet vanilla. It literally smells like Horchata to me. The dry down brings out more of the coconut/sandalwood combo, but not SO much that it doesn’t still smell like sweet rice pudding. I had a hard time deciding if I liked it or not - but the dry down won me over and I found myself going back to smell the sample and my arm throughout the day. I could always smell it, but it wasn't overpowering. I would consider this more for layering or as a cozy laying around in a cozy blanket in the fall/winter than I would a year-round fragrance.

Both this and nearly nude have AMAZING longevity and projection . I think I prefer nearly nude over this one in terms of overall scent, but they are both incredible! this one has some...bite to it? Not in an unpleasant way but there’s something a little strange and pungent here that is not as easily wearable as nearly nude. Definitely don’t hate it but probably won’t size up anytime soon. I have a tendency to overspray and two or three spritzes of this last for hours on me so I will be enjoying my sample for a while (:

Cardamom bomb with a gluttinous quality of rice pudding. I would say this has a lot of sandalwood as well. The fig is only slightly noticeable, and I agree that it is a fig jam, not the fruit itself, as the scent here adds sweetness and a little sourness, not earthiness like the fig note in Philysykos. If you are looking for a cardamom fragrance with a doughey and gluttonous quality to it - this is the one. Something about it is sharp and screechy to me though, so I personally do not like it that much.
