Baby Powder

In the Uk this is known under the brand name of "The Library of Fragrance". I have always loved the smell of baby powder and this is very true to the scent I most associate with that which is the Johnson and Johnson Baby Powder. It is a cologne spray so does not last too long on the skin but I love the blast of nostalgia it gives. I would not wear this for a date but it is perfect for a spring day, totally inoffensive if that is your mood. If you want to be noticed, choose something else! I have the 30ml bottle and I am rapidly getting through it and it may be one I replace. If you like to use linen sprays or room sprays (which I don't) this would be a good choice. Words I would use to describe this fragrance are : powdery, nostalgic, clean, light, soapy, fresh, young, calming and comforting. I like to catergorise my fragrances, even though I believe you should wear what you want when you want, I would describe this as spring and daytime. Not a love but a definite like!

Upon initial spray the first thing that came into my mind was how much it smells like Johnsons baby powder and how right the comments were below. I totally love this because I do like the smell of Johnsons powder because it reminds me of my childhood. This is perfect especially after shower when you just want to smell fresh and clean. It makes me feel warm, good, cozy and snuggly. Sometimes I spray this on my young kids too. So glad I bought this! P.S. I recently discovered a cheaper alternative that smells similar to this. They don't have the perfume in Fragrantica database yet. The perfume is Double Diamond by Yzy. It also smells so good. I sprayed Demeter on my left hand and Double Diamond on my right and they smell so similar with only minor differences. I think DD is a bit sweeter but overall the powdery goodness is there. The price is also so cheap at less than $13. Great discovery

Beautiful! Smells JUST LIKE baby powder. Also a small hint of vanilla (if you aren't focusing too much on the baby powder scent). I've recently become obsessed with the scent of baby powder, but since I'm freaked out by talc I decided to go to my local drugstore and by talc-free lavender cornstarch baby powder.. definitely not anywhere near the original scent of regular baby powder. Take a shot every time I put 'baby powder' in this review! But seriously, this stuff is amazing. I think it'll work best for after you get out of a nighttime shower and getting ready for bed. Can't wait to wear it while being all snuggled up when it starts getting chillier outside.

I think most of us know that there are some Demeter fragrances that smell so accurate it's amazing, yet there are a few that are really synthetic and nothing like the intended scent. So I was happy to discover that Baby Powder smells absolutely exactly like Johnson's baby powder. It is a perfect match and not synthetic smelling. It is my favorite Demeter fragrance so far. It is really comforting and makes you feel clean and fresh too. I like to mix this with a sweet scent like cotton candy to keep it fun if I go out for example. Baby Powder is great to wear before bed it's so relaxing.

I was nervous blind buying the 4oz of this fragrance after reading some of the reviews. Don’t be! If you truly love the smell of Johnson’s Baby Powder, this is the exact scent. It’s so comforting and cozy. The absolute perfect bedtime or lazy day scent for me. It’s not too weak as the other reviews might suggest. For me it’s the perfect sillage for this type of scent (about arm’s length) and lasts about 4-5 hours. I love it right before bed for that reason. If you’re looking to wear for daytime, get the big size (4oz/118 ml) for $20 and spray to your heart’s content.

I was astonished when I first got my hands on this. It was my first baby-powdery scent and it was such a nice surprise for me that something smells exactly like Johnson & Johnson's Baby Powder. It feels very nostalgic (reminds me of 1990s/early 2000s, even though I was a kid back then, haha). However, the longevity/sillage is weak, it lasts well only on my pillow when I spritz it before going to bed. :) It ́s definitely a bedtime scent, though my sister actually noticed it when I was wearing this at home.

Ooohhh this is lovely. I found a bottle at TJ Maxx and was able to test it. It smells exactly like baby powder. I love a good powder bomb. Ad for being a Demeter EDT, (notoriously weak formulas) it lasted for a surprisingly long time on my hand. I didn't buy it as I need another perfume like I need a hole in the head but I'm happy I got to smell it. It reminds me of Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum EDP. If you're looking to smell exactly like baby powder, you'll probably love this one!

While the unmistakable scent of talcum powder dominates, there is a definite gourmand note for me; something like marzipan or peachy persipan. Certainly a must-have for Goth lovers of baby powder who don't want to mark up their dark cloaks. A gentle sent with gentle sillage to match. This is as pure, clean, and innocent as the Virgin Mary.

Yup, smells exactly like Johnson's Baby powder. I love it for when I need to be "babied" or when I want to be a little nicer to others. :) Not great staying power, but the Demeters are like that - you buy them for what it says on the bottle, a "pick-me-up cologne."

One of my fave demeters they are nice fragrances but some are real mistakes i.e. Lime !!! (What a wierd base note that has, not what I hoped for at all) This however is soft simple and a lovely bedtime (Sleepy time) :) perfume not really any lasting power though

a perfect baby powder scent ! not getting any of the other notes people are talking about but by the sound of it that's probably the better draw of the two . i love putting this on my bed , it makes me so happy . so nostalgic and soft !

If you’re looking for a dupe of Love’s Baby Soft, this is it. It’s by no means long lasting, but it does have a decent projection when first sprayed. The dry down is very subtle, this is definitely a finishing layer perfume.

Imagine the smell of baby powder, stronger and more concentrated. It opens with a slight floral sweetness, evoking innocence and playfulness. Smells like the cleanest skin, after being freshly powdered out of the shower.

this smells literally like baby oil. lasts for an okay about of time, around an hour or so. strong but not headache inducing. a very interesting experience and smells so pleasant

Undeniable musky sweaty panty hose underwear smell. Which is a little sexy but still less bright and fresh than I was hoping it would be. I kind of like how it's a little mammalian and weird. Imagine secret powder fresh deodorant on a caffeinated woman's armpit in summer. Now imagine that woman was the one leaving you this message, right here, right now... It's me, I wear secret powder fresh deodorant, and right away putting this on I become convinced it's wearing off! Even if I just got out of the shower and applied it moments ago, the second this hits my skin I think my deodorant is surrendering, my once curated and controlled self unraveling into nothingness while nature takes back what rightfully belongs to it, and me right in the middle of it all, the ringleader of a mad world where we all get to just be musty and stink all the time-- Sour and free right out of the shower, reaching over the innocent to grab things just out of reach with cruel, tactful armpits to their fresh faces. Bizarre and disruptive, feasting your reign of terror on all of the goodness in your way, The Manson Family, Scooter Braun, Charlie the Unicorn getting his kidney stolen... fetish implanting itself into innocuous daily rituals and being carried to term by shame ... "join us, join us!!! what are you, scared?" Leering up from the depths of hell like Pennywise through the storm drain, "We all stink down here! And You'll stink too, You'll stink too!" ..But it's not all bad. I had the 30ml and put it in my jeans pocket and the cap came off spilling it everywhere, I did really like sniffing that jean pocket after that happened. Getting ready, I'd pick up my jeans and just huff the little spot (I know you were wondering). It's a good smell, it does smell like baby powder! If there were just a less musty version of this available I would probably wear it daily, to bed or just doing whatever! I do kind of like the weird mustiness but again, it smells like me sweating through my deodorant so I cant enjoy it very objectively. It's still cheerful, and so, so so sweet.

Demeter Baby Powder is everything you expect it to be. It’s soft, warm, inviting, something you can douse yourself with after a long bath or shower and put your pj’s and slippers on and snuggle up for the night. It’s also great for daytime wear especially when you want to wear something comfortable and you don’t need to worry about wearing your tracksuit or a fluffy top. This perfume is very versatile in the sense it makes you feel comforted by wearing it. Maybe it’s because you remember those days of your childhood wearing good ole Johnson’s Baby Powder as a little one and it allows you to reminisce of your days growing up. It’s the smell of something we all can relate to. The perfume is not long lasting but you can definitely smell it when you put it on. Its musky like scent is slightly different to the Johnson’s I remember and has a somewhat sharper edge to it. Its kind of woody to but in a gentle way. That said it’s a very good match mixed with a soft floral that kind of leads to almost a soap like quality. It’s “gentleness” despite the sharp edge it has could easily be worn by both genders and children alike. It’s a bit too much for me during summer sometimes but it’s perfect during the cooler months and great for curling up to go to sleep. By morning it is faintly there if at all but would be perfectly fine to spray on your pjs if you want it to linger. It would sit nicely in a baby’s nursery and in a young child’s bedroom but for adults it brings back memories. There is no alcohol in a Demeter fragrance so you may need to reapply it if needed. I like it.

Today I have "Baby Powder-day".:) I purchase this blindly few years ago, because of the name, and I didn't regret it at all.You got what the name suggest:pure baby powder smell. Sweet memories come to my mind, when I helped for my mom to take care of my li'l sister and later my li'l brother.I clearly remember of this scent around them, it was very comforting and innocent..curious touches of small baby hands.This Demeter fragrance is about that:)..Uncomplicated,gentle ,soft, warm and heart-warming. Simple, lovely little scent.The beauty lies in it's simplicity.

such a nice simple scent. this one kinda opened the whole world of powder frags for me, as I hadn't enjoyed them before. soft and sweet and calming. although it opens with what I could only really describe as a plasticky note, that quickly goes away within like 3 minutes. it smells EXACTLY like baby oil to me, but you can really smell the different parts of what makes baby powder smell like baby powder. more complex I mean to say ... I use this one often as well on my pillows at night

It's nice....smells like baby powder. As a Mother, I have to sometimes mentally separate my association of baby powder with baby poop. This,of course,doesn't smell like poop but you probably get my drift. It's soft and innocent and I think it would be nice to layer. Demeter fragrances don't seem to have great staying power in my experience but they are fun, simple and relatively affordable.Safe, uncomplicated, inoffensive.

It actually smells much better than actual baby powder imo. Opening smells like a liquid bubble bath before getting powdery and musky with a slight cherry edge. It's surprisingly good, but I personally wouldn't wear it because it's feminine through and through. It's also much stronger than I'd anticipated. On my skin, it opened up super strong and stayed that way for almost an hour, and lasted a few hours.

this is my first demeter fragrance and i have to say, i really like it.it smells just like a clean baby and the dry down is slightly musky, but a clean musk, while still maintaining the powdery smell.i don't detect any flowers in this one.i like it, it's a sweet, clean, straight-up baby powder scent and it lasts maybe 4-5h on my skin, which is not bad at all for a cologne spray

It really smells like baby powder! Like a really heavy layer on a pouff. Or spilled baby powder on a surface. So its quite dry on your throat if you happen to inhale a lot but it settles down to a nice soft powdery smell afterwards. I use it on my pillow and duvet before sleeping. Or on my sleeve for easy whiff of comfort and familiarity when anxiety kicks in ♡

I always like baby powder smell! it's just sweet ,innocent and cute. Since I'm in the college where almost nobody in my class wear any fragrance, this one doesn't make me feel 'overdressed'. I also have Demeter Clean Soap.I use these two when I want people to think I naturally smell good with something that isn't perfume?.lol They do the trick.

It smells like baby powder no doubt about it. It's cozy and fresh and clean smelling. Nice to wear when you're feeling under the weather or just want to cozy down under the blankets. Unless I layered this with something with more depth I doubt I'd wear it out and about. But who knows? Maybe on a cold damp day? It might lift the spirits.

The opening is more like Johnsons baby wipes than powder and its smells kinda dirty to me... maybe because of I cant help associating baby wipes with dirty nappies ;( anyway it dries down to a velvety soft sweet powder that's quite nice and vanillary but still that hint of dirtiness is there.. so I wouldn't buy it for that reason

I think it smells a bit more sweet than powdery. I thought I would dislike it, because I'm very picky with powdery smells, but I really enjoyed it. Its refreshing. My sister owns this perfume, so I've only smelled it a few times. Its very nice, but it smells different on literally everyone in my family? (we all tried it..)

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I work directly with the public, and this is perfect to wear to work. It makes me feel "clean". It smells like Johnson & Johnson baby powder. It's not something I'd recommend for a night on the town, unless it was combined with a more intriguing scent.

I like this fragrance, but I can't wear it. Smells nice and closely resembles Baby Powder, but after a while I get tired of the scent. I guess what I'm saying is I just don't wanna smell like it all day. But nice non-offensive scent overall.

Oh wow! Pure baby powder but extra strong and sweet! I am so excited to wear this, it’s going to feel so cosy and amazing! I also suspect this might be brilliant to put under floral perfumes that you find too sharp or dry!

The opening is pretty sickly, but as it mellows I get the baby powder scent, pretty nice and mellow, especially after the disgust of their fireplace fragrance. Lasted about 4 hours.

Johnsons baby powder in a bottle, calming, clean and soft, lasts much more than i expected, i bought it for my little daughter, but i sometimes spray it just before bed:))

Ok, it smells EXACTLY what it's supposed to smell like. Johnson & Johnson Baby Powder. The lasting power isn't THAT bad. It's nice, if you want to smell like a baby :)

This is the most true play-doh scent I've tried, it really has the same vanillic artificial scent. I don't get the baby powder connection that much.

Didn’t expect to smell this good

Look... so I've been searching for this perfume for a few years at this point. It finally restocked at a beauty boutique and I just had to have it. I want to mention that I am crazy about powdery perfumes AND baby powder! It is absolutely one of my favorite smells. But this, however... I am quite disappointed. It smells like mold, and it's rather a medicinal and starchy powder rather than baby powder. It has hints of Playdoh and it smells musty, like a wet rag that has been sitting out for too long. Also there is a faint almond scent when you sniff the cap. It also has a honey-like, floral note but it's quite unpleasant and brooding. It somehow smells more like a depressing hospital rather than Johnson's & Johnson's. I did have high hopes for this, and I will sell the bottle 😬 If anyone reading this wants something soft, powdery and feminine, I recommend Avon's Soft Musk, it may not be extremely powdery and has other notes that balance it and it's much more pleasant.

It’s baby powder all right felt kinda weird being a grown woman wearing this so opted to wearing it after my evening bath and spraying it on my bed clothes it took me back to Johnson’s baby powder and how my children smelt after there bath times which is nostalgic I wouldn’t say it’s a all day perfume more a after bath /shower spray also it was quite greasy on the skin after spraying
