Baihao Yinzhen Tea

I'm an expensive, fancy green and white tea connoisseur paying hundreds of dollars for a container of rare green tea. This is the most realistic white tea composition that I have ever smelled. It is NOTHING like those awful Elizabeth Arden and Bvlgari green tea perfumes that smell like citrus room freshener. I'm new to Demeter fragrances and I expected them to be single one note synthetic wonders. Boy, was I wrong. This is a stunner. It's light though. Demeter colognes are colognes to be applied liberally and not perfumes. The silage is low, but as a skin scent, it lasts over 6 hours. Baihao Yinzhen is a type of white tea, not green tea. It's not as earthy. After dry down, there is a metallic note left on the skin which is reminiscent of tannins left in the mouth after drinking an astringent white or green jasmine tea. Perhaps, a bit more plastic smelling than I would like. I bought the 30ml size. It comes in a thick glass bottle which, feels nice. It's larger than it looks in photos.

This definitely reminds me of Wulong Cha, only less fig and a LOT easier on the wallet. I am very excited to have found this one to get my "fancy spa tea scent" fix without having to use it sparingly. I would say it's much closer to Wulong Cha than it is to EA Green Tea, but it is still in the same family as both and thankfully lasts a lot longer than Green Tea on me. This lasts at least 6 hours on my skin and all day on clothes, so also considerably longer than other Demeters in my experience. The scent is better on skin than clothes, though. Very green. This is not a particularly masculine or feminine scent to me; it's definitely unisex. I hope they keep this one around forever because it's great and I have not seen many people talk about it.

Normally my first guess of what a perfume smells like is a bit off the mark, but funny here the first thing that came to mind when I sprayed this on was Hotel. I was a little bit sad about it because it made me think I got a cheap scent, but I smelt it some more and noticed there was a lot more depth to it, now I absolutely love it. It’s less sharp smelling than the hotel smell, it smells sweeter, it would be even nicer with a sticky rice scent. This disappeared from my wrists within a couple hrs.

I am very impressed with this one! It's crisp, slightly floral & woodsy, and very delicate; the citrus also seems natural and not forced. I swear I've smelled white-tea leaves just like it! This is probably the best authentic tea scent you can get for under $100, and did I mention it's one of the most persistent Demeter? The quality is up there with Jo Malone's Rare Teas, somewhere between Silver Needle and Jade Leaf, but mostly Darjeeling.

Reminds me of sweet green pears! Not woody at all to me. Very fresh and almost girly. Brings me lighthearted joy.

Demeter is noted for doing simple linear scents. This scent is a bit more complex than their average. It reminds me of the spa green tea scented products you find in nicer hotels. It starts out very citrusy/green but mellows into the woody tea notes. It has minimal sillage, much more of an up close kind of scent. There is a cleanness to it that is rather refreshing. The staying power is pretty good for a Demeter scent. 5 hours after spraying, it is still perceptible up close. The woody note makes this a somewhat more traditionally masculine scent but, honestly, giving gender to scents is kind of silly. I wear and enjoy scents intended for men frequently. I'd call this rather neutral overall, suitable for a man or a woman, especially if the woman wasn't interested in presenting as particularly girly.

My husband and I share a rollerball of this and it's so nice and calming. It evokes the same gentle sleepiness of lavender without having any lavender scent at all. Basically what I'm trying to say is that it's a cozy and fresh scent. It's almost milky, not a piercing green scent. Soft & sweet.

Smells like the hotel lobbies in China

Smells like Nivea skin cream + a bit of lemon.

at first i was very worried because it has a powdery odor like baby wipes, but in verity it smells more like if you rub a fresh green leaf or stem against your skin. It still has that clean mildly soapy quality once it's dry (i find that it works better on my clothing than my skin) It's very fresh, truly herbal and citrussy. it smells like clean paper. Like other demeter scents, it takes time to develop into something gorgeous, and its loveliness increases with its longevity selling this on my mercari @crydamour

Not a spot on white tea, more like sap from crushed leaves getting warm on your hand. Longevity isn't very good, but it's decently fresh. Office frag.
