About six months ago I bought a 0.17 ounce spray sample of Demeter Bamboo along with several others of their fragrance samples. Now that spring is here, I am sorry to see I've used this one up. I believe I'll miss it if I don't buy a bottle. I cannot say I know what bamboo smells like in nature... but I know I like this fragrance. It's subtle and pleasant on its own. It plays nicely with light floral fragrances, so I've enjoyed layering it with other linear perfumes. I bet it would also layer nicely with a linear vetiver fragrance for a unisex vibe. It's a nice calming fragrance to wear during the springtime. 🦋🧡🦋 2025 Update: I made another online Demeter purchase of this. Had to have it back in my collection.

Bamboo starts really fresh and not demanding, somehow really makes me think of natural bamboo plants. It’s like newly-cut grass with a bit general fresh fruity hint. After a while the grassy green scent becomes more tamed and the fresh fruity scent plays a more dominant role here, which is quite a nice experience: the fruity scent is not like any single fruit, rather...feels like the skin of a green apple, which has been freshly peeled off without the apple-ness. Somehow oddly it makes me think of clean china just out from the dishwasher, and a bit sweet washing detergent smell can still be smelt from it. It is one of the Demeter scent I find great to be an air spray, as well as a really easy and kinda quite scent to wear occassionly.

This smells like you just walked into a garden in the spring. It's fresh and green, and a little sweet. It's a pleasant and refreshing scent, but doesn't last long.

This starts out as an almost plastic-y scent but dries out to a floral... it gives off florist store vibes.

i second what others say about the generic clean scent. i was using it as a room and linen spray for a time and was very happy with it. it does play well with other scents, but i found that if i accidentally used too much it made me nauseated. there's something sickening and artificial about it if you get too much / too close.
