Blackberry Pie

Layer-Worthy Blackberry Pie Filling... I agree with reviewers, that this is mostly fruity - blackberry & peach pie filling with only an imagined crust, to my nose. Still really good as a layering scent imo. This leaves the signatures oily sheen of most Demeters on the skin. Has a clear to pale yellow liquid colour. I was inspired by some of the reviews below to try and add something close to a flaky cinnamon short-crust, and so I layered it with Cinnabar Estée Lauder, which does the trick, but also tweaks it a bit more perfume-y and I needed to go with more of the Blackberry Pie compared to the Cinnabar (5:1 ratio). Love it!. This is such an easy scent to layer (like most Demeter scents), so below are some more side-by-side layering ideas. Enjoy! This scent is yummy amazing blackberry LOVE! Sweet huge juicy delicious blackberries is what I smell. There is a faint element of baked blackberry pie to this scent that makes it extremely realistic. 🥧 Yummy scent. Love wearing in the late summer. 💜

nice vibrant blackberry with a splash of peach lemonade. i layer this with blackberry tonic from mixbar and i smell like subtle but fresh blackberry all day.

tart blackberries crust cinnamon that's it. Kind of smells like pie inside of hobby lobby (you know the hobby lobby smell?) idk what's with the peach and lemon notes listed. Not bad, but definitely not amazing. edit: This is actually really nice layered with all the gourmands I have tried so far. Fun to experiment with.

I really hoped this would be like a true blackberry scent, even if it would be a little synthetic smelling. But it doesn’t really smell like that. it’s meh, it’s hard to describe but it smells like weird fruits, if that. really hard to explain. also smelt a little bit like nail polish at the start.

I'm getting tart blackberries with a touch of sourness, and no pie. This is very light, even for a demeter scent - it fades almost instantly on me.

I really wanted to smell a flaky cinnamony crust with a dark blackberries because that's how the reviews described it, but all I smell is exactly what the notes are- a heavy fruit fragrance. Smells kind of like a kids shampoo. It's like this was based off of the Blueberry character from the strawberry shortcake show, a loud fake fruity scent, and not based after the actual food.

This was a huge let down for me. First whiff was straight alcohol, second was paint, third was playdough and then gone!

By the time the alcohol smell faded, the blackberry scent had too!

I'm guessing the lemon note was to add tartness so it didn't get too candy-sweet? But why is there peach in this? I smell it more than I do the blackberry. It's a pretty scent, but I don't think "blackberry" or "pie". Maybe blackberry shampoo...? *confused on this one* This is much better than the JellyBelly Blackberry Cobbler, though. That one was a huge disappointment to me and a bit too weirdly sweet/sour. Also, this sits very close to skin and fades fairly quickly, even for a Demeter.

On me this smells like a fresh piece of sweet black berry pie with a hint of cinnamon crust. It's so yummy and delicious. Very fresh and intoxicating. Very gourmand.
