Blue Spruce

When layered with Snow and Fireplace > in order: 1>3>4 sprays: Snow , Blue Spruce, Fireplace > it's magic. It's like an outdoor adventure in a ski lodge tucked high away on a mountain top, with memories of after ski drinks, sitting by a log fire. All this without the bother and expense of such a trip. For those like me who don't (rarely ever have) ski or don't have the desire to go to a ski lodge for the ambience, it's the prefect illusion. Alone, it's nice but, the magic is in layering and perfect for the cold winter months.

Not woody at all, but not sweet also, at least for me. Whatever this smell is, I love it and will forever chase it in every other smell. This was one of my first fragrances, I used to wear in HS and my friends forever will associate this with me daww. Idk people write that this is too sweet. As someone who can't smell s*it around, this is what I can still detect after few hours

Lovely sweet green warm scent that is quite relaxing when I wear it. Doesn’t last long as it is a cologne but sillage is soft to moderate. Definitely wears well in the warmer months and is not an overwhelming fragrance. Can be used as a room spray too. Edit: I found the dry down gives off a baby powder smell.

It does NOT smell like an evergreen tree. It is very sweet and smells more like a "seaside" or "midnight" candle than anything related to christmas trees/fir/evergreen. Nice smell, but the name is wrong. If you want something truly "pine"-y and woody, try Siberian Pine instead.

so realistic and fun. I get Demeter scents mostly for my inner child. They may not last long but they do get singular scents just right and blue spruce is no different. Smells like the Christmas trees I remember as a child.

A polite, Christmasy piney scent. Surprisingly sweet. Reminds me of those L.L. Bean balsam fir pillows, although not as strong. I was hoping for a sharper, more coniferous punch. My search continues.

This is a gorgeously cool scent. It has that herbaceous coolness to it. I like to pair it with Demeter's "Snow" for my Frostfaerie costume. Definitely wintry and Christmassy.

Quite a Christmas-y scent! Not something that I would wear on my skin, but I do plan to spritz the tree and enjoy the season. A sweet spruce aroma.

I received Blue Spruce for free as part of a promotion Demeter was running at Christmas time when I purchased some other fragrances. This is not something I would ever choose for myself nor would I ever wear it on my skin. But it’s actually a really nice scent that I use as an air freshener at Christmas time. It is not a sharp piney, coniferous smell at all, which I was kind of hoping for as I love the smell of a fresh cut tree. It smells as if you’ve had your fresh cut tree in your home for about a week and the freshness has died down a bit, and at the same time you are baking sugar cookies. There is a sweetness to this that is surprisingly nice. If you want to wear this on your skin, it wouldn’t be offensive, but I do highly recommend as an air freshener during the holidays (though pricey for an air freshener!)

I could have sworn I've smelt an Ikea candle that has the same smell. Aggressively sweet, not very woody, smells clean but not very personable. Maybe works better as a room scent than as a perfume. Got a roller ball as a freebee, and it's easy to overdo in that format.

I was looking for a piney scent for xmas, but this smells to me like the inside of a man's car. Not a bad smell, but quite soapy. Then again, I don't actually think I've smelled (smelt?) a real life blue spruce so I may be the problem here.

CANDLE SCENT. Wayyy too sweet.

Every Christmas my family had a blue spruce as our Christmas tree. As a result, I can easily distinguish the smell of a blue spruce from the more common Christmas tree in the NE US, the Frazier Fir. Demeter's Blue Spruce sadly falls far short of the trip down memory lane that I was expecting. This smells like a candle that is trying to smell like a blue spruce -- there is something very soapy and floral about it. In the distant, distant background there is something related to a pine. I didn't vote 'love/like/dislike' because Blue Spruce is a perfectly lovely scent that would work well as a basenote, particularly in the winter months. It just should be renamed, Pine Candle or Pine Bodywash.

I got the oil roll on as a free gift and I’m sooo glad I didn’t pay for this. I love the smell of fresh pine, but this smells like a crappy old Christmas candle that’s been sitting in my mom’s forgotten Christmas decoration box. Like pine + old man aftershave. Then it dries down to smell like a gas station bathroom. I hate it.
