Bulgarian Rose

Turkish Delight in a bottle! I see a lot of people calling Rose Jam by Lush a turkish delight smell, but honestly I feel like this is closer. Sweet, rosey, ever so slightly powdery. I got sent this as a free sample when I ordered some other fragrances from demeter and I LOVE it.

Smells so pretty! I love to layer this on top of Rose Water and Meringue lotion from BBW. Super feminine rose! Def for rose lovers!

Deliciously sweet rose that reminds me of Turkish delight and red rose petals.

I love the smell of fresh roses, but this has a lot more than just that. It smells like rosebushes in the rain, floral and slightly transparent. I tested this side by side with Tea Rose, which starts out sweeter and more like the rose flower itself, but dries down to something very similar. Both are pleasant layering scents, but Bulgarian Rose especially seems like it would benefit from an additional layer. It also does smell very much like a room scent, not in a way that makes it unsuitable for perfume, but it would be a gorgeous linen spray. As others have mentioned, this is extremely short-lived.

I have the roller ball. It's a very clean, fresh Bulgarian rose. I'm not sure how much actual real Bulgarian rose oil it contains, but I think mine has macerated a bit. I like to use it to extend and deepen some of my other rose fragrances. I even layered it with the vestiges of Tanasuk to make it more rose dominant and less incense-oudish. To me this rose smells more realistic than most.

A very nice, cold, green, slightly sharp and bitter rose. I'm on a mission to find the perfect rose with good longevity and I have a full page list of recommendations to go through. Sadly, this isn't the one, but I do think it will be nice to use for layering with other scents.

Fresh yet sweet (but not overly sweet) roses. Honestly, one of the best straight-up rose/rosewater fragrances out there if we're just talking about actual scent. As with all Demeter offerings, longevity isn't its strong suit. If it lasted longer, it would be perfect.

I have some rose essential oils and absolutes as well as a rose water toner for my face. This smells similar to the rose water for the face but Bulgarian Rose is a bit longer lasting while still remaining a skin scent. It has better longevity on clothes. You would need to overspray but it's a simple scent that maintains its realism. Can be used for layering or when you want to smell like a rose without being overpowering. It reminds me of Aerin's Rose de Grasse but for a fraction of the cost.

I'm not a big fan of this type of rose - it does smell natural and sharp, but that sharpness comes off a bit bitter to my nose. I think this is a personal preference. I agree with the commenter below that it smells like rosewater.

Smells like rose water. I have the oil roller ball and found the longevity to be pretty poor for an oil.

Pot pourri style rose. A jammy rose. Strong. I have the perfume oil.

To me this is identical to Mr. Bubble bubble bath soap from the 1970s. Fun memories. Kept waiting for additional notes to emerge, but nonesuch. Pure soap to me, maybe a hint of dusty rose.

Very powdery, old lady like kind of rose... if you are expecting a fresh delicate rose in the kind of the Chloe perfumes it's not with this one you'll be please!

This scent hits you like a punch in the face. Definitely not a light fresh rose, this scent resembles turkish delight and is very sweet. The one thing I was impressed with was the longevity of this scent, it surprisingly remained on my skin and clothing for over a day. Unfortunately this one wasn't for me

Strong pink rose scent very realistic very sharp. This is still better than Tea Rose by Perfumers Workshop. One spritz of it is enough for you to wear as a perfume but because it is so strong it's better as air freshner. This is a great scent to mask odors in your home like if you have cats and dogs or babies lol...this is a lovely scent of graphic rose and rosebushes. Smells like a rose garden. Lovely but like with other Demeter frags they are thrilling recreations that last only about an hour. Pity. I keep spritzing this on in my bedroom. I love the smell of roses in the air.

I've had a splash bottle for a while now and never thought much of it but I wore it out tonight. I was sweating a bit and suddenly I was drowning in roses. Something about the sweat and the heat really brought it out, it was fabulous.

A beautiful fragrance that feels timeless and elegant. It has a pleasant balance, not too strong yet long-lasting, and always leaves me feeling confident and refreshed. Truly enjoyable to wear.

This smells exactly as a strong rose Garden in spring. If you are into that than this is great. It's way to much pure rose floral for me. Although nothing artificial about it.

An untraditional rose scent, not as deep or rich as you would expect. More subtle, airy, and sweet. Smells flirty, instead of romantic. Almost like a diluted rosewater.

This doesn't smell like the roses you'll smell in rose water, it's like those dark red, velvety roses. I never liked those, but this smells spot on.

A fairly true rose cologne with a tiny edge of powdery dry down. Very pretty. It's one of the Demeter PMUs that makes me wish they lasted longer.

Sweet yet refreshing. Scent is similar to rosewater.
