Butterscotch

THIS SMELLS HEAVENLY, IT LITERALLY SMELLS EDIBLE. Best way to describe this perfume is that it smells like Hokey Pokey ice cream and maple syrup 🥞🍨🥛. It really does smell lactonic and very sweet. For some reason when I spray this perfume people around me think it smells like coffee, but I personally don’t smell any coffee in it? ☕️ I let someone else close to me smell this perfume to see if they could smell some coffee In it, and they thought it smells like butterscotch and doesn’t think it smells like coffee. So I think it all depends. Good value for money. Does last a decent amount of time and does project a good amount. Perfect for layering with other gourmand perfumes. Update: People have made comments saying it smells like coffee.

When I wear this, people often say "it smells like waffles". That's the impression I get too, reminds me a lot of maple syrup. really sweet and caramelly. Probably the most gourmand fragrance you will ever smell. It's a total powerhouse. Lasts a really long time for me. I have tried a lot of scents from Demeter and this is one of the few I have gotten a full bottle of.

This is so delicious. It reminds me of butterscotch angel delight in the opening and maple syrup in the dry down. The projection is insanely strong as well as lasting power...spray with caution as I can still smell this in the air the day after wearing it!

Holy Moly this stuff smells sooooo delicious! Ha! It is so sweet and smells of pure candy. I wanted to eat it. If that isn't your thing than this is not one for you. If you love single note gourmands you may love this one. It has a touch of a candle scent to it. I love that but others may find it synthetic. Very strong sillage and like all Demeter's " Pick-Me-Up" cologne sprays very short longevity.

Butterscotch pudding. Or the butterscotch pie -minus the burnt sugar/crust note- that my memaw used to make for Fall holidays. Definitely a foodie one, lol! And man is it STRONG. Excellent sillage. This one is actually a little too much for me, even though it smells YAHM. If you love MIGHTY POWERFUL caramel scents, this is probably up your alley.

Realy sweet and jummy Butterscotch .It smells almost like a Butterscotch Liqueur i ones had , strong sillage , long lasting ,not for the faint hearted and you must realy love your perfume sweet . I think this also will be very nice to add with other scents to make some extra vanillic sweetnes.

Very realistic butterscotch smell. Almost like hokey pokey ice cream. Sure it's very very sweet for outdoors but at home this is very warm and delicious and I'm saying this as a man.

very sweet and almost nostalgic. reminds me of a candy i used to eat as a kid. i liked it but probably wouldn’t wear it or buy a full bottle. good perfume for autumn tho!

Straightforward Butterscotch. Use sparingly...

I thought this was nice until I smelled it and Caramel side by side, opposite wrists. Caramel is deeper and has less butter and more browned sugar (almost burnt but not quite). Butterscotch is close but has more butter and a weird plastic wrapper type note that I didn't notice until comparing them. Butterscotch lasts longer/performs better and upon full dry down they smell almost identical. I just prefer the opening of Caramel more. They are both nice to layer with FRESHLY BREWED COFFEE.

Almost unbearable at first, but develops better on skin. It's not my kind of thing.

My daughter says it smells like maple syrup

Tried to befriend the Demeter scents based on a few that I really love, but this is too sickly sweet to even think about being unisex. Even then, used sparingly, this might be ok as a child perfume. It has heft, but I can't imagine anyone wanting to wear this consistently as a single note. The Demeter scents are consistent, usually good quality, but usually don't do it for me. I have been known to liberally splash Dirt, Grass, along with Peppermint and Lemongrass essential oils when I want something intriguing without being obvious.

If you want to spray this and enjoy a lovely rich butterscotch, for a minute or two. Then voila, your desire is met. If you hope to have this be a wearable scent that allows that butterscotch scent to persist for any reasonable length of time, ...then your quest must continue elsewhere. The fragrance soon grows watery and hollow, resembling something more like a diet cream soda. So is that the scent some are smelling when they say this is eternal? ...No thanks. This formulation is just too weak,...and probably unnecessarily so. If anyone with authority at Demeter reads this, ...assuming the company isn't already a lifeless ghost ship, I suggest they release a full-bodied extrait line. Stop skimping on ingredients and just make your fragrances strong enough to be desirably impressive, ..or at least, moderately useful. All the same, I do love the opening minute or two of this very much. So in the meantime, I'll just walk around with the bottle in my hand and reapply at an insane frequency, ...until I get bored or sick of it. Edit: There is another scent claiming a similar butterscotch profile, named simply Butterscotch by Adyan. I can't vouch for the quality because I haven't tried it yet. Nor can we read about it on Fragrantica because, as of the date of this post, it still hasn't been added to the database.

-)) 21/06/2018 : My absolute favourite! Divine & luxurious and everything I could want in a fragrance. Pure butterscotch that is rich and sweet. I always get compliments everytime I wear it. It invokes memories that make me happy :) It smells like maple syrup one minute and buttery the next! I wear this on my clothes and it holds nicely, subtly through the day. Not too strong and enough for me to catch the scent through the day, which makes me smile. HIGHLY recommend

A gentleman in the elevator told I smelled like maple syrup and waffles and that the scent brought his happiest childhood memories. This is the least complex perfume in my collection, but I do love it. I'm a gourmand lover, and I still find Butterscotch to be VERY sweet. The longevity and the projection are insane, which is unusual for Demeter. This is amazing for the price, but only if you like gourmands.

now THIS is good. almost on par with my love for the Caramel one. Solid, strong, sweet, buttery, creamy, caramelly, vanillary, YES. I am going to put this on the inside lining of my winter's coat so whenever I put it on I get a whiff. For this one you HAVE to LOVE your gourmands, not just like, or like very much.

Butterschotch and caramel are both delicious sweet and smooth....they both smell verry indentical in the drydown....i love both the smell...nomather what fragrance...and ofcourse they have to be the most dominated main not for sure ..toffee is my absolute fav 💥💥👏👏🔥

Oh my goodness! This smells like the Butter Pecan syrup at IHOP! Yummy & delicious
