Candy Cane Truffle

Silky Chocolate & Cooling Mint... First Impression: This has the sweet minty note of an After Eight chocolate-mint wafer, but leans more milk-chocolate like the silkiness of a French Mint. I get mint, milk-chocolate, vanilla, After Eights, Junior Mints, French Mints, candy-canes and also a note of something near coconut. Leaves an oily sheen with its clear liquid, and as other reviewers have said it lasts a long time on clothing. Builds sweetness in the drydown as vanilla comes more forward and reveals it to be a vanilla-based scent. Very similar to Demeter Brownie plus mint/candy-cane. Update: I'm getting the darker truffle chocolate now as well. Up close overall I get dark & milk-chocolate with a sweet minty note like candy-cane, the centre of After Eights or Junior Mints. In the sillage it all blends together giving a silky mint-chocolate note like Laura Secord French Mints. Gorgeous! Lasts about 3 hours on the skin with an oily sheen, but up to 12 hours on clothing. This is a great holiday scent, but could be worn year round for gourmand lovers since it's an EDC. It's a love. Enjoy!

It's one of my favourite fragrances ever - the ideal mixture of milk chocolate and mint in perfect proportions. Its longevity could be better but it remains longer when sprayed on hair and clothes. I'd definitely like to get it again.

A nicer, better and more wearable scent than Demeter's "Mint Chocolate". A sweet, chocolate-minty vanilla gourmand. Reminds me a bit of the scented plastic that Barbie dolls used to be made of in the '80's.

I wore this to bed last night because I couldn't wait for late fall/winter. It lasted on my shirt for the 8 hours, but not on the skin. As others have said, it's Demeter- what do you expect? I love this scent, though sometimes it pulls synthetic on me and other times it mixes with my chemistry really well and emits this quite authentic mint truffle smell. If you are a mint chocolate fiend, this is definitely worth a go. In the Christmas season, i douse myself in it and use it as room spray. Compliments fill the room, as much as the scent does... (not saying the sillage is great, but I like to compensate by spraying quite a bit). I got a 4 oz. for 18$ from hautelook and the unique scent is worth is, despite the just-adequate performance.

reminds me of a hot cocoa scent from scratch-and-sniff christmas book i had when i was a child. can smell it on me which is nice. still unsure how i feel about candy-esque gourmands as personal scent, but this smells like exactly what it is. definitely adding to the holiday cheer in my home as i sit next to the fireplace under our decor and stocking adorned mantle.

I got this in a swap and I must say that I really like this chocolate mint fragrance. It's linear and perfoms very long on textiles. Longevìty on the skin is not very long though, 2 hours perhaps. If you like sweet mint chocolate, this is a bargain (about 25 euro for 120ml).

This one I'm saving for Christmas! This fragrance reminds me of Christmas candy canes. It's definitely a truffle because it has a dark chocolate note in it that smells just like truffles. If you like gourmand chocolate dessert type scents, this is so sweet and enjoyable. But I can only wear this to Christmas partis as it totally matches up with that environment. This has a sweet candy cane smell like when you've stuffed yourself with candy canes. The mint note is so big and so perfectly evocative of candy canes. The mint on it's own is a good scent. Then when you combine it with chocolate o my goodness! Yum! This is an easy to wear delicious perfume and it can be worn by anyone of any age at Xmas parties or any party doesn't have to be Xmas. The fragrance's down side is that it doesn't last very long and you have to spray over and over again. But that doesn't surprise me. It's a Demeter.

Not quite enough mint for me- its more on the chocolately side. More of a milk chocolate rather than dark.
