Clover

Demeters Clover is a simple scent, & that to me is its appeal. It's very fresh, green with an earthy sweetness to it. No fuss. For me, I wanted a grassy perfume for those days when you're stuck in the city but just want to mentally escape it. There is nothing more delightful to me than the smell of things growing & this perfume really captures that fresh green scent I was after. Wearing green scents like this in the middle of a city make me feel like a forrest creature in disguise :D Longevity is quite low, 1-2 hours, but reapplying it isn't a problem as the initial fresh cut grass scent is so enjoyable. It turns then into a sweeter green, that slowly leave your skin. This perfume is great to combine with other scents to "green it up". I really like it together with Demeters "Thunderstorm".

The most delicious green scent — love it! This is more subtle than Demeter's Grass, which is why I'm so crazy about it. Grass just about screams HEY, SMELL ME? I'M GRASS! Clover is not nearly so bossy. It's fresh, sweet, and bright — a dewy morning kind of scent. Clover will also do the trick if you want to brighten up some of the old-fashioned powdery florals (Peony jumps immediately to mind) with a sweet green note. Want something less sweet? Try Demeter's Ivy.

I love this--it does have some floral and some spicy bits on the opening, but otherwise it's a slightly sweet, stemmy, sappy grass that honestly evokes clover quite well. As it dries down, a lovely warm soil note emerges as well. I can see the watermelon rind comments and don't necessary disagree, I just think many verdant green vegetal things can seem similar this way. I can already tell I'm going to love this for layering!

Right on the money. One of, if not the best, true clover notes out there, for those few of us who actually know what a field of clover smells like. Well done, Demeter.

I adore this perfume: office-friendly, subtile but even clover, grassy scent helps to create mind-calming early summer feeling.

There is something slightly mildewy, and yet at the same time fresh, about this soft green scent. Whatever it is, I like it! And six hours later, it's faded to a skin scent but still going.

green and grassy. I prefer this to the actual Grass perfume because Grass smells to me a bit sharp while Clover is softer, it smells of a cool summer morning, really nice

Very fresh, green scent. It is a little bit sharp, like if you are crushing clover leaves in your hands.

Yummy, juicy watermelon with brisk, bitter green. Bright, but sharp in a way that’s felt in the back of the throat -especially when smelled close. Dewy freshness is both uplifting and comforting, if generic. As it settles, the green note increases and strongly projects super ripe watermelon rind instead of fruit. Gives both the feeling of a cool summer morning or a sun-soaked green field. Brusque and not refined/nuanced, but strong and long lasting.

Not clover. Melon with some grassy notes and detergent. The base this brand uses reminds me of funeral homes (they actually have a fragrance called Funeral Home that ought to be their flagship). It does have a bit of freshness, so it merits an ok.

I adore green/grass/plant/herb/weed/vegetable scents and can only think there is something wrong with the purse spray I received. To me, this smells like someone ate too much ripe watermelon rind and threw it up in the ocean. My curiosity towards scents has me NEVER scrubbing a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g... except this. I was honestly rendered nauseous. Thankfully, it fades to nothing in under twenty minutes (though, it was much more difficult to scrub that I would have guessed). I will admit I'm rarely a huge fan of melon or many aquatic scents, but this was really a special sort of horrible. Sad: as quickly as they fade, I'm a fan of Demeter. I would suggest Grass, Wet Garden, Lilac, Thunderstorm, Dirt or Dandelion as some wonderful natural spring/summer Demeters... unless you're looking for a spoiled picnic under the sea.

Disappointing... it smelt bright, fresh, and green upon spraying for a few seconds, but that immediately fades and just leaves behind the exact smell of Irish Spring soap. That almost feels like a joke to me.. :( I don't get anything other than that with my skin chemistry. If you want to smell like Irish Spring though, I will say: it lasts a very long time. I was scrubbing at my skin with soap to get rid of it and it still lasted for hours. It also managed to make everything in my order smell like it :/

I bought this because it’s March, and for a St. Patrick’s Day, Spring scent, for about $15... why not? I really like it. It reminds me of being a little kid with my face in clover looking for the one with four leaves. My daughter hates it, it’s too sharp for her 12-year-old nose, so it’s not shy. It has somewhat of a sweetness to it though, like if you took a bag of grass cuttings and added enough sweetness to turn them into something that could pass as a perfume. It smells like clover. It’s one of the many photorealistic scents that, in my opinion, Demeter gets right. It’s not something I’d wear every day, but when I’m in the mood for something really fresh, which isn’t too often, it’s nice and fun.

I only smell orange juice and sharp green notes. There is a definite suggestion of clover blossom hidden in there with it's inimitable honey edge, but overall this is more like grass with sharp citrus notes on top. Eh. Not bad, but not the purple clover blossom I was looking for.

Gives that same uplifting boost as the smell of cut grass on a summer day, but much less over-powering. Gentler that Demeters 'Grass', wonderfully verdant and bright scent. Layer with Demeters Sunshine to complete the summery experience!

Grassy and sweet, although there is a melon note at the top I find I little discordant with 'clover', it does fade into a grassy floral. Although, to be honest, I still think White Shoulders smells more like actual red clover than this.

i wish this perfume had some concludent reviews... i am very curios about its smell and unfortunately they do not sell it in my country :(

lol this is watermelon, not clover. Way too sweet.
