Condensed Milk

This is my all-time favorite fragrance. When I can't sleep I will spray my pillowcase with this, and am able to drift of to sleep with this sweet, innocent smell of comfort. I layer it with nearly all of my other fragrances, and wear it as-is on quiet, at-home days. It smells like sugar and vanilla which is what I smell when warming condensed milk. If I bury my nose into my wrist or occasionally as I turn my head I do smell a warm-milk fragrance, but the other thing I smell is a warm powdery fragrance that blends with everything else and keeps this from smelling too sweet! If your mama spent all day in the kitchen baking fresh cookies, this is what I imagine her hugs would smell like. Warm, sweet and comforting, with plenty of rich vanilla.

So hear me out, this is the white floral, white milk, “lactone” note that I smell in Blanche Bete. Its airy like a fat free sweetened almond milk, definitely not condensed full fat dairy milk. Its missing an inherent savory-fattyness that I think dairy cream has. Its extremely sweet and fresh—as in there’s nothing deep or dark, no layers or dimensions—and a little sharp like white sugar crystals nonetheless. One of my favorites to wear to bed or to layer under other gourmands. Generally inoffensive, office, church, interview safe, and as all Demeter frags, gets a little performance anxiety and shys away after a few hours. I love her for what she is though, artificial and synthetic but still charming.

This smells NOTHING like wax, as someone commented below. It’s sweet sugared cream with a soft, almost coconut note. I wouldn’t say there is caramel in there, just a deep rich sweet cream / vanilla scent. It’s not super strong with the silage, but you’ll definitely notice it. It lasted a fair amount of time, I’d say about 4 hours. I was lucky and found this little gem on Amazon for 8 bucks!

i love its simplicity as a scent.it smells just like fresh ground coconut drizzled in rich sweetened condensed milk when first sprayed.on the dry down it smells of only sweetened condensed milk.very light,delicate,and realistic.over all 7 1/2 out of 10 next to other perfumes.but,if i were holding it up to other milk note scents it is a firm 9 out of 10.

I genuinely think this scent just works with my skin well or I would’ve hated it. On me it smells like my favorite curly hair products, mixed with sunscreen & vanilla. It smells like I just spent the day outside after a shower with tanning lotion on. It’s very nostalgic to me for some reason. It’s my summer scent

There’s something very warm and comforting and skin like about the scent which I was not expecting. This is now one of my go to before bed scents. I love smelling this as I am getting cozy and winding down for the night. I find it lasts well on my clothes. This one really surprised me

This was a blind buy back in 2021 and I’ve been loving this perfume with all my heart ever since, it smells exactly like sweetened condensed milk, very gooey and warm❣️🥛 to me it’s irreplaceable, sooo playful yet suitable for almost any occasion🤫

i dont really like gourmand perfumes but i love sweetened condensed milk so i had to try. i absolutely love!!!! so sweet and milky. unfortunately doesnt last long though.

super sweet and milky but not overpowering to me. maybe it's just because i have it in the perfume oil but i wish this had some projection, hard for anyone else to smell.

Smells like sweet flowers on me

I have the roll-on oil and though I've slathered it on, the smell is so faint it's frustrating. From my limited experience, milk fragrances tend to be either baby wipes or vanilla candles. Here, the vanilla is not dominating at all - it's in the background where it belongs. Good start. The main note is sweet slightly caramel-y sugar and it is being rounded out by miscellaneous 'fatty' notes trying to smell like milk - sometimes plasticy wax, sometimes a whisper of coconut, sometimes cocoa butter. Does it give an overall impression of condensed milk? Well, the more I smell it and tell myself it does, it does. It's definitely something very sweet and dairy. But what I'm looking for in a milk fragrance is that smell when you heat it up in a pan (which is how you make condensed milk, except you add sugar) - warm, creamy, toasty, savoury, and gets sweeter as it cooks down. Or that whiff when you open a bottle of fresh milk. Difficult to describe this smell with words other than 'milky'. I just want a scent featuring that specific milk smell whether cooked or uncooked. I'm supposing it's a difficult one to render so I'll give Demeter this one - it's not what I'm looking for but it is a well blended, pleasant gourmand. A solid attempt. Just work on making your fragrances stronger and longer lasting, please.

Exactly what I was hoping it would be for a $15 4oz bottle of a singular scent. Very close in formula and behavior as Commodity Milk Expressive but this has a slight chemical note, almost like a green spice. There aren't any markings to indicate when it was made so I'm betting it's less than a year old and needs maceration. As it stands, it's a great milky addition to my other perfumes and I'm looking forward to when it ages. Better sweetness than Odyssey Candee but not as good as Meethaq. Same fresh, cold milky scent as Commodity, not a warmed-milk like Mademoiselle Twist. More aromatic than you think and actually long lasting for a cologne strength. 5.5/10 Needs time to mature and blend more.

I'm just gonna open with the fact that I don't think I can easily recognize the scent of condensed milk. This might have made my review more positive due to the fact. I was curious of this since milk helps me fall asleep so why not have this to dab on myself after a late night shower. For a sleep scent and overall perfume, I like it. It's just that it doesn't smell too milky to me; just sweet. It's a light and faint sweet smell that reminds me of a vanilla ice cream scent that won't smack you in the face with artificial extracts. It's like being lulled to sleep honestly 💌

Condensed Milk ends dries down pretty similar to Victoria's Secret Oat Milk and Almond Blossom (which to me was just sweet vanilla) but slightly less sweet. I can see this being a nice scent to wear to bed, especially if it's cold out. It's very subtle but sugary, and seems to last just long enough to drift off to sleep.

I do like this, and had hopes it would be a substitute for CSP's discontinued Lait Sucre....but not quite. Still hunting for a good dupe! Matin Calin is close, but has way too much caramel for me. Ava Luxe Milk smells like spoiled breast milk to me. Oh, Lait Sucre, mon amour, tu me manques!

I love this. It smells like warm sugary milk with slight notes of apricot. Takes me back to a smell from my childhood- very comforting. Unfortunately, it doesn't last very long on me- otherwise, I love it. Reminds me a little bit of Fancy Love by Jessica Simpson without the spice.

sweet and sour at the same time, nothing to do with commodity milk or a une madonne, previous comment about vanilla scented dolls is spot on, good for layering...

this is a great laconic fragrance but it’s very clean smelling too! i got this to layer my fragrances with and make them gourmand and it is great for layering

I really enjoy this! I bought the cologne version, and it is a light, sweet milky scent. Very intimate and milky, not too overpowering.

Plain warm fresh milk to my nose. No sugar at all. I like it though.

I have the 15mL (0.5oz) dabber, aka the humongous miniature splash, aka the pick-me-up cologne. I have worn it at least five times, and I consistently forget what it smells like. Now I have freshly applied it so I can write an accurate review. My first image that comes to mind when I close my eyes is sweetness and the inside of a plastic bottle. I do not get condensed milk, or any lactonic note to see why they put milk in its name. It is not creamy the way tonka bean, benzoin, or vanilla can be. It is sweet, but it smells more like shampoo than a gourmand. Technically it smells faintly sweet like a flowering tree that you walk past. That part was disappointing. For the record, I tend to change my mind after a while when I become more familiar with a fragrance. In the meantime, it definitely feels like something that would be easy to layer with. On my skin it seems to be turning into a sort-of bread-like fragrance. Grocery store bread you can smell through the plastic bag.

This scent is sweet but I didn't get much of a milky, lactonic vibe from it. It smelled creamy but not necessarily milky if that makes sense—kind of like a coconut milk adjacent scent. It reminded me a bit of the black vanilla hair products from Carol's Daughters. Overall, not bad and lasted for about 8 hours on me. Disclaimer: I got the oil roll-on, not the spray, so my experience may be a little different. But, with this scent and the other Demeter roll-ons I got, I noticed a similar residual smell among them. It's a kind of stale smell that I can only imagine is coming from the carrier oil since it smelled the same in multiple, vastly different scents. It wasn't super strong, like I could only get a whiff of it when smelling my wrists up close, but it was definitely there.

This scent is interesting, it is creamy, milky, sweet, but also clean. It strangely reminds me a bit of a body wash or a lotion. There is quite an artificial note that lingers there next to the milky and sweet notes, but a good beginners getting into milky fragrances. It’s a bit too artificial for my taste but could be a good layering scent!

its a little strange.. it has a little sour, coconut, sunscreen type thing going on. two hours later it has dried down to a very light lactonic-vanilla skin scent. not quite picking up anything reminiscent of condensed milk. not unpleasant exactly, but not what I expected. not a safe blind buy

My first impression - imagine how your hair smells right after washing it with almond milk shampoo. Clean, feminine, detergent-like. If you're expecting sweet, rich and dessert-like, you'll be disappointed. If you like the idea of smelling like Timotei shampoo, you'll like this scent.

wanted to love this, been enjoying lactonic perfumes these days and this one just missed the mark for me. Smells very cloying, like coconut milk and middle school locker room perfumes that we used to share. A little headache inducing as well?

@danceforjoy, I couldn't agree with you more. While it's not a disagreeable scent, this Demeter smells nothing at all like real condensed milk. It's vaguely sweet and musky and kind of chemically clean like dryer sheets, but not quite. For a real authentic condensed milk scent, please check out the delicious AU LAIT, by DSH perfumes. I can't get enough of that one.

I've been disappointed by Demeter in the past, so I'm not sure why I felt compelled to blind buy this. It doesn't smell bad, just sugar and milk, but this brand always has this synthetic after-smell that I can't put my finger on. I like Demeter's idea of emulating one scent, but that cheap smell always spoils it for me.

I know others have compared this to CSP's Matin Calin and I'm not sure...I don't like either. This reminds me a little of arroz con leche. It's just too much, too rich. I love foody scents but you know how you feel when you eat a too-rich piece of cheesecake? That's how I feel when I wear this.

The opening is okay but the dry down is unpleasant. It goes from gourmand to something inedible in just a few minutes. If you've had good results with other creamy Demeter scents you'll probably be fine with this one. Just something about their creamy notes does not agree with me.

As others already said, its kind of waxy, and also very sweet and artificial. I probably would still have liked it aged 20, but its far too young for me, so I passed on to my friend`s teenage daughter, who is very happy with it.

Im sad this fragrance really does not agree with the ph of my skin it turns into an old dry bar soap smell very quickly and lingers on my skin and clothes even after washing it off which was unpleasant

I tried to be happy about this, but I'm not. This doesn't smell like condensed milk or like coconut milk. It is somewhere between coconut yogurt and suntan lotion. Glad I did not buy a whole bottle.

Nope. Not getting condensed milk or any of the notes listed. At first spray I thought it was yummy, but then it immediately dried down into a kinda sweet, burnt, plasticky smell. Very sad scrubber.

This is just too sweet, too cloying on my skin. I really wanted to love it as I am enjoying sweet gourmand perfumes, but this one is just too much.

The most atrociously synthetic (headache inducing type) lactic smell, and sweetened at that. Just no.

Extremely disappointing, I got this scent to match with my hair products that smell like condensed milk and butterscotch but this smells nothing like anything relatively milky and was hardly sweet. The smell resembled more of grandpa's cologne mixed with those incense shops, strongly smelt of cheap perfume until 10-15 minutes pass where you'd have to dig your nose deep into your shirt to get a whiff of that disappointment again. Returning it for what little money it'll get back, because I am for sure not putting this on anything.

Evokes memories of a childhood vanilla-scented doll. Not necessarily intended to be worn for attention or compliments, but rather for personal enjoyment and nostalgia. It can also be used as a layering scent to add a sweet touch to fresh fragrances. While it may not contain high-quality ingredients, it still brings a sense of joy.

I'm someone who detects phantom green notes in many milk or coconut milk scents. If you experience the same thing, you can expect a vaguely milky, highly sugary, cilantro scent. This was a hard pass for me. Also, like all Demeter EDTs, this lasts maybe 20 minutes if you're lucky.

I'm on the fence with this one. On one hand, I really love the scent and the fact that you only need one spritz initially; on the other hand, this doesn't last at all, is slightly oily on the skin, and dries down in a very plasticky smell. It is indeed an exact rendition of a glass of creamy milk with lots of sugar. Very beautifully made, no alcohol opening, thick and heavy, almost like whipped cream. Strangely, as it has less vanilla and more sugar, it smells milky- buttery rather than whipped creamy. I am not a note connoisseur but can spot the difference. Sweet and lovely, but. If they could only make this last, wouldn't this be wonderful! It does not stay on at all, in max 30 minutes it becomes an imperceptible skin scent on me. Pity. The plastic smell starts after the dry-down. I have to sniff my wrist to feel this perfume at all, and I clearly detect some benzoic milk note. I associate it with plastic but to others it might feel different. I was going to get Cupcake, but I'd rather get some vanilla celebrity fragrance if the lasting power is so bad. Too bad, they should be working on improving the weak sillage and 0 staying power. The fragrances are cheap per se, but €15 for 30 ml + necessary overspraying - it's not completely a steal. Such beautiful fragrances, no alcoholic notes in them, wonderfully blendable with other scents. Pity pity pity!

Supposed to be milk and sugar. What I got was vanilla and wax. It does smell nice in the first few seconds upon spraying, that's accurate. Just the first few seconds is when you get the condensed milk including the tin and then it just changes into something completely different. It becomes like a vanilla scented candle thus vanilla and wax. I don't use this on its own. I blend it in with vs vanilla lace and ariana grande ari. It's amazing. The milk came out, it was sweet, yes it does still cary its synthetic kind of scent the wax but it was MILK! Sweet milk and I love milk notes. It's perfect and the combination lasted for about 4-6hours which is inpressive for a demeter and the sillage somehow was arms length instead of just sticking close to the skin.

Weirdly enough, I love this scent but get absolutely no milk or condensed milk from it. Even sugar is a little suspect. It smells like a powdery floral, heavy on the powder. The dry down eventually let's Some lactonic notes through, but the powder is first and foremost throughout the entirety of its lifespan. I hate floral but love powdery scents, so it evens out to something I really enjoy smelling throughout the day.

This is vile. I really enjoy sweet fragrances that have a milk note (I adore Ava Luxe's Milk fragrance), but this was nauseating. I am not just using that adjective for fun...upon initial application, I felt sick to my stomach from the smell. It smells too infantile to wear- almost like baby food or something. It's not at all similar to CSP's Matin Calin or Milk...those are far better than this concoction.

Buttercream frosting with an almost-but-not-quite coconut note. Very pleasant, yet not what I was looking for. This is sweet and light — dare I say it smells fluffy? — rather than dense and milky. I wanted something bordering on caramel. Possibly Dulce de Leche will be closer to what I had in mind.

This is gentle,sweet,milk and sugar. Fancy Love is similar to this,but after awhile,this "peachy" note started to come out,and now I won't wear it. Condensed Milk has that milkiness,but without any underlying notes getting in the way. This is milk and sugar all the way through,nothing else!

This smells exactly how the old school Milk bottle lollies taste like. It's very comforting as a scent. Very lactonic
