The only Demeter that I love (I have 4 currently). I get a smoothe vanilla cigar, very pleasant and unisex however slightly (only just) on the feminine side. I love it! Not overpowering at all and quiet wearable.

Love this, wish it was a little more tobacco heavy but the blend of notes is honestly perfect- none of them stand out too much and make a sweet, yet sophisticated and beautiful fragrance :)

my signature scent. smells exactly like the notes. do need to spray it constantly. delicate in a "thats just how your skin smells" way. beautiful both in icy and blazing weather

To me this is a very mild, slightly sweet, softer By The Fireplace, which makes it really wearable for Summer Nights.

A very wearable spicy tobacco due to the generous dose of sugar. Simple, but I love it. Cuba perfectly conjured!

Beautiful, sweet & spicy scent. Kind of delicate, with a subtle & intimate sillage. It quickly becomes a skin scent, but has good longevity as such- I can still smell it faintly on my skin when I wake up the next day. I don't think it smells like a cigar at all; balanced with sugarcane and Latin spices, the tobacco here is just a delicious, inviting scent that hovers somewhere near gourmand territory without ever quite crossing the line. The spice accord in this is not notably "Latin" to me, and I don't find too much here that's specifically evocative of "Cuba", but that's OK. The main reason I wanted to try this is because I'm exploring tobacco notes in general, and this is another indication that so far, I seem to really like them! This scent is very wearable, and I would say it's unisex but leans feminine.

This is delectable. The pipe tobacco is mellow. I get a whiff of vanilla and a faint suggestion of lime, and then vaguer spice notes waft smoothly around my personal space, evoking a little bit of rum in black sweetened coffee. The sugar is detectable but not cloying. Most of the sweet Demeters feel a little sticky to me and this one's no exception, but it's more tactile than olfactory, especially on my neck and décolleté. I don't know if I'd like it as much in summer heat, but on a crisp fall night it's a solid, embracing scent.

Cuba is for tobacco aficionados who don't want their perfumes to bury or hide that delicious leaf with a ton of other notes. It's a simple, linear fragrance- nothing but tobacco, sugar, and spice, and it's very nice, even in spite of a faint synthetic-smelling quality. Demeter's Sugar Cane scent apparently won two FiFi Awards in 2001, and Cuba features that scent blended with smooth, rich tobacco and a gentle spice accord. Perfectly unisex, and so good, we're lucky it's not illegal!

very Cuba with some tobacco and some vanilla, some sweetness and some rawness - definitely unised, and I share this with my husband. Good sillage and longevity for a synthetic

Smells exactly like what it says. Sugarcane which then evolves into sweet tobacco leaf. Very nice, and it lasts only an hour or so.

I see the description and the notes... but I don't smell them. Mine smells like sweet tropical flowers and warm spicy cumin.

Opens up stupidly sweet, as you would expect from the sugar accord, but then the mildly spiced, tobacco notes start to show. It's rather tame, and I'd much prefer the sweetness and tobacco intensity from This Is Not A Pipe rather than the one found here (to be fair, this was more of a blind buy).

I'm a little bit disappointed that the sugar is very artificial. It has a sweetener quality to it that sort of falls flat and can be sickly. Nothing like the sugarcane that Cuba once exported in large amounts. A mild tobacco, just a bit of smoke that covers the body. Not sure of the spices, they're mostly in the background to give the tobacco some character. I'd say this is something nice for the evening. More discreet and private. The sweet tobacco lingers for a long time though. Much longer than expected from an EdC. A spray on each wrist is enough for a whole day.

A lil something to drink, a lil something to smoke, a lil sugary treat that melts in my mouth... "Cuba" hits on alllll my fave vices. But just like vices, this can be a bit too much after a while. Unapologetically overpowering. But who cares, it's fun!!! If this scent were a lady, she'd probably be this smokin' hot Latina: all cleavage and tomato-red mini dress and impossibly high pumps. Heads turn as she walks by. Where is she going, looking like THAT at this hour of the day? Also, she maybe works the sales floor of the best humidor in town.

I enjoy this one. Dry down brought out the spices but I’m not sure what spices are in this. Initially the sugar cane was strong but that dissipated once the spices and tobacco leaf came to the forefront. The tobacco leaf is pretty wonderful. If it’s a scorching hot day, though, it can get a bit strong. I didn’t think it was very Cuban at first, but the first time I wore this it was a very hot day and this developed very nicely on my skin. It became stronger and more complex. I wonder how this will fair in the cold.
