Elvira's Vamp

The notes are interesting, and it's extremely lovely and dark. It's elegant and appealing to me. Vamp is lovely on chilly summer and mild fall days. This smells fantastic and have a lovely underwhelmed feel. Pretty, yet different, with an endless lifetime and excellent silage.

I received this as one of the three part Demeter Elvira scent, and this is my second favorite of the three. This is a very tropical floral scent. Although it doesn't have any typical Hawaiian flowers, this makes me think of Hawaii. I actually get predominantly Tiare flower, although it's not listed--it's the predominate note that I pick up. Although this is tropical smelling, is not a suntan lotion, coconut, beachy scent at all, it is all tropical floral. After about 2-3 hours the vanilla comes out and it's a floral vanilla skin scent. This doesn't last very long on me...about 4 hours, and sits very close to the skin. This would be perfect in Spring, but may be a little too heady and cloying for a hot humid Summer. In my opinion this leans very feminine. If you are a fan of Tiare flowers, try this one.

I was hoping for something more menacing. This is a soft flouncy fluffy floral with a hint of incense. The notes LOOK cool and it IS very pretty and a little dark. I find it classy and quite likeable. My mom even likes it and she's very hard to please. Vamp is nice on cool summer and warm fall days.

This smells fantabulous and for some reason reminds me of Ange ou Demon. It's not the same scent or anything like that but it's a pleasant underwhelming vibe. It's not something I'd picture a vamp wearing either.

Pretty, but different, but pretty... not sure what belladonna is supposed to smell like, I get apple and grape.

this scent opens with greenery and florals but it's hard to pick out exactly what i'm smelling. next i get a very soft musk. i think i may be getting mostly belladonna, tobacco flower, ivy and musk...if i had to guess. i'd say there's a fair amount of the mandarin orange too. this is a light, slightly fruity-floral inoffensive scent...hardly vamp-y at all!

fresh white floral with something sweet and dark in it, maybe the ivy & tobacco flower. There's something kind of sharp and unpleasant about it that mellows out after a while. Not my favorite & not very vampy. The most average-smelling out of the elvira trio

HALLOWEEN PARTY PERFUMES ELVIRA MISTRESS OF THE DARK REVIEW FOR ELVIRA'S VAMP I love Cassandra Petersen AKA Elvira Mistress of the Dark, whom I met courtesy of my mother when she used to come to mom's yoga studio in Malibu California. Cassandra is a lovely person, funny, witty, smart and sexy. Her Elvira persona is a hoot. When I discovered there were 3 fragrances based on her character, selling through the Demeter Fragrance Library - I purchased all of them! What a great way to start Halloween and actually wear these fragrances with my costume at the parties. I've already worn one of them - Zombie - and it received a lot of attention. "What is that mysterious smell?" everyone kept asking. They thought I'd been smoking cannabis or walked out of an incense shop. The only way you can purchase them is through the Demeter Fragrance Library. You have a choice between cheap vial samples or the actual perfume bottle. The vials are nothing compared to the actual bottle even though you might pay over 40 bucks for some of them. Notes in Vamp include: Belladonna, orchid, tobacco blossom, maple, ivy, Madagascar vanilla, mandarin orange and white musk. Belladonna is a big note in Lady Gaga's Fame and it smells similar - it's a fuchsia or red berry scent, slightly floral. It's meant to smell like a poison flower like actual botanical belladonna or deadly night shade. It has an orchid note (again similar to the orchid in Fame) which gives it a floral edge, and a poison ivy note. So as it starts it's floral but not heavy floral or sweetly floral. It's more herbal-floral. A mandarin orange scent is the only fruit note in it, it's a small dose of citrus. The tobacco blossom is tobacco or tobacco leaves similar to the tobacco in Zombie. This is a smoky incense type of smell, but not as heavy as Zombie. If you like tobacco scents in your fragrances, this is not bad, although it doesn't last very long and it isn't really a masculine tobacco either. The unisex body of this fragrance consists of musk and tobacco but it's not at all aggressively masculine. It's also not old school. Far from it. This is a very unusual and modern take on musk and tobacco. It's spicy and aromatic, but it has so much going on with the floral notes and incense. Like the other Demeter Fragrances, this one doesn't last longer than 30-40 minutes so it's best to spritz it on right before you head into the Halloween social gathering if you want the scent to be detected by others. A strangely beautiful mysterious perfume.

Was this an older seasonal or is it still available? Our family has a white elephant Halloween gift party, and this would be a nice change of pace from all the vampire wine and Goth socks. Please PM me if you know.

Fun, easy, rich, grown up. Sweet, vanilla, some amber, some flowers but nothing that stands out alone. Don't let your teen daughter wear this.

Don't waste your time...It smells like a urinal cake...with the urine. You can purchase it on Finger hut to experience it's true horror.
