Fresh Brewed Coffee

This is hands down the best coffee scented perfume/cologne. It smells strong, dark, and rich. This is straight coffee bean without any lactonic element. Longevity is mediocre, but if you’re familiar with Demeter, you already know that. This is what I wanted MMM Coffee Break to smell like, and that one fell short. If you want to add a fresh element to this, add in Penhaligon’s Lavandula, you won’t be sorry. For $16-$24 you can not go wrong.

Wow! The second you spray it it smells like rubber condoms !!! But quickly resolves into soft yummy coffee. Doesn't stay like that for long, and becomes chocolateish vanilla, at least on the skin. Btw I've never ever smelled anything rubbery in coffee, but after smelling this I noticed a rubbery note in the coffee at my workplace. It is messing me up...

It smells just like coffee and smells delicious! If you are a coffee lover and people around you are also the coffee lovers then you’ll really appreciate this fragrance. Unfortunately it doesn’t last long and needs up be reapplied several times during the day.

Really does smell like freshly brewed black coffee. A nice coffee, not coffee chain coffee. I have the 30ml cologne spray. I thought the lasting power on this Demeter was good.

Very very poor longevity. Smell amazing just like coffee! After a year or so the fragrance goes bad in a bottle, had to toss mine in a trash. Overall, waste of money.

Charmingly realistic. Freshly ground dark roast. No cream, no sugar. As a purest, this is perfection. The dark, bitter depth makes this perfect to layer with any vanilla frag I find too sweet or floral. The fact that it is just one strong note profile means it blends beautifully into other compositions. This is a Demeter treasure. FRESH BREWED COFFEE is the most realistic and longest lasting of the three Demeter coffee frags. ESPRESSO is sweet, creamy coffee, gone in a flash. NITRO COFFEE is a strange floral (that I assume must be more like coffee blossom) with a sharp tang and no actual coffee notes. FRESH BREWED COFFEE smells much more like actual espresso than ESPRESSO and is also the closest to the opening (Just the opening!) of Kerosene's FOLLOW that I've found. For my money, FRESH BREWED COFFEE is absolutely one of Demeter's BEST scents ever! NOTE FOR ME Review of 120mL spray. I don't know if this makes any difference (with formula or longevity) but this is the round bottle with a plain white label, no picture on it. Both box and bottle have the brown sticker band stuck on them, not actually printed on the labels, with "Fresh Brewed Coffee" in white lettering. The carton insert is sturdy brown cardboard instead of the white corrugated kind. I would like to try the rollerball and massage oil too, if I can find them!

Photorealistic sweet coffee scent. In contrast to some other reviewers who say there's no lactonic quality, I get a mildly lactonic, kind of creamy/nutty vibe from it. Makes me think of coffee with just a hint of hazelnut creamer. It's a little -too- photorealistic to be a wearable perfume on its own for me; it does smell like you just spilled coffee on yourself if you wear it that way, but hey, maybe that's what some people want! Fortunately I anticipated that and got a sample intending to experiment with it and layer it with other fragrances; my conclusion is that this would work well with any simple floral or gourmand fragrance. I really like it with Demeter's Kitten Fur, too- two cozy fragrances that are even cozier together!

This is a very realistic sweet coffee scent. Smells just like walking into a coffee shop! In the opening I thought I was picking up a subtle booziness, like coffee liqueur, but then it just smelled like rich, perfectly roasted & sweetened coffee, maybe with a hint of hazelnut, unless I'm imagining that. Delicious!

Weird on it’s own but I could see this adding a great layer of interesting depth to a simple fragrance. Might be perfect with Hanai mori Hanai Mori. That strong sweet vanilla fragrance with this true to life coffee note added in could be brilliant.

Smells like a bottled coffee drink or a gas-station cappuccino. It's a strong, sweetened coffee smell, with a bit of vanilla maybe? I'm probably not going to wear this one, but may use it as a kitchen or car air freshener.

☕️ Imagine you're craving something sweet, so you go out to buy a caramel cappuccino and tiramisu. It's a cold winter morning early in the weekend, and you're alone in the coffee shop. The barista is watching Gilmore Girls, and you interrupt her with your order. She doesn't stop watching while making your drink, though. You take your caramel cappuccino and tiramisu and head to the park. But after one sip, you realize she accidentally put ten spoonfuls of sugar in it. You have nothing else to drink with your tiramisu, so you drink it anyway. Silage is short - 1 hour. And then you can smell it for the next 3 hours but only if you directly sniff your skin. It’s more like a body spray that needs to be applied heavily...

I have the roll-on version. I personally don't think it smells anything like freshly brewed coffee. It smells more like cheap chocolate flavoured hard candy than the beverage imo, particularly the Polish candy called "Kukułka". The siliage and longevity is very poor, but I think it's fun for layering with other perfumes.

Cheap, sour coffee. Not fresh at all and honestly rather urine-like.

I love coffee, including the smell of the beverage, ...so I was interested in finding a coffee note I could try layering with other perfumes. Demeter's Fresh Brewed Coffee is one possibility. It smells like a nutty medium roast with cream and sugar added, ...basically a sweet gourmand. If you seek the bitter scent of a black dark roast or unsweetened espresso shot, this is not it. A gourmand lover seeking a lighter, eau-de-cologne strength scent might enjoy wearing this by itself. If needed, (why?) it could even act as olfactory camouflage in a cafe environment. Layering this with most other sweet gourmands should be easy. It would certainly transfom original Khamra into something close to Khamra Qahwa, to give one well-known example. Layering it with other fragrance types would be more experimental, but certainly possible. I see there are two separate profile entries for this fragrance. One with a release date of 2013, the other, 2017. I have the 4 oz round bottle, which I think is an older issue. I'll just double-post on both pages.

To me this smells exactly like those powdered vanilla cappuccino mixes you can get a little container of at grocery stores lol. It's sugary, instant coffee with powdered milk. I'm one of the unfortunate souls that can almost never smell the coffee note in fragrances (I cant smell it in YSL Black Opium for example!). I think this will be good for layering. Lasting power is horrendous. It's gone after 10 minutes. Oh well, it was still fun to try it!

Add a 1/2 spritz of this on each wrist,then put on your YSL Black Opium EDP....and...voila !!!....more coffee vibes added to round off your Black Opium...???..YUP!!!

I get mostly a light powdery cocoa from this. Only just a bit of coffee. Sort of, I guess, like coffee cake.

Smells just like coffee. Would be good mixed with a vanilla or other simple note
