Funeral Home

This is a perfume for all the people like me out there who can’t decide between the gothic aesthetic and cottagecore/fairycore aesthetic. If you know the album Disintegration by The Cure, it has the exact same vibe. All of the flowers used in Funeral Home (mums, lilies, carnations, etc) are somewhat dark and moody, yet comforting and nostalgic. While it does remind me of a straight-up funeral home, a memory that constantly comes to mind when I wear this is the seldom-used piano room in my grandmother’s basement. Others might have thought it smelled musty and old, but I will always have a fondness for that room because the floral-powdery scent that settled into the carpet and sofa since the late 70s lulled me into many naps throughout the years. I’m someone who finds decay and deterioration beautiful—who appreciates the quiet, ancient, silent, corners of the world—all which perfectly describe this fragrance. If you are an old soul, maybe a little morbid and wistful, you would probably love it. I’m sure if you’re buying this it’s already what you signed up for, but keep in mind that you have to carry yourself with a certain depth and complexity to wear this everyday around others, otherwise it might be offensive. Most people would only understand this frag at an actual funeral or as a distant, subconscious memory. Funeral Home definitely fits my own personality and is one of my signature scents but even I avoid wearing it in the summer...that’s just overkill, no pun intended. (Also, it doesn’t last super long, which I would normally complain about with every other fragrance, but the low longevity kinda works for this one. It’s ~fleeting~ and ~ephemeral~ or whatever.)

I just adore this perfume, even if it causes me two types of feelings, once it can make me feel ready to step on the corpses of those who stand in my way, on the other hand it sometimes makes me think how fast the years have passed and how close to the end my life can be, so I can't wear this all the time or frequent, because the second type of feeling is not the cutest thing. But I would recommend it to the young career powerful women, because for them would evolve only as the first feeling. It really smells like a typical European funeral home, old wood, lacquered, luxury leather sofas, green flowers like lilies, but also flowers already past like withered roses, that greenery that is placed on the funeral wreaths, and some carnations and tulips reached the peak of maturity which smelled strong but at the same time passed, not a garden anymore. If I would imagine a human silhouette of this perfume would be a tall woman, a German type of figure with a very sharp face, cold eyes, very dark red hair, short cut, dressed in a thick, matte black velvet suit, with the pants revealing only the thick heel from a square sandals, a black shirt tied up to the neck and there placed an unevenly cut bloodstone brooch more reddish than greenish. She wait in the middle of an old room in an apartment in downtown Copenhagen, on a rainy and cold day, she stands in the middle of the room with her hands in the pants pockets and looks at the door, waiting to be opened. A kind of Germanic Villanelle. I just adore it.

Okey dokey Goth girls and boys. This is THE scent you have been waiting for. Forget Vampire and other scents capitalizing on the Twilight/Vampire Diaries sucesses. This is truly dark and dismal. No doubt this is a very floral fragrance but there is nothing "clean," "fresh," or "outdoorsy" about this bouquet. The flowers (lily, carnation, cyclamen) came straight from the florist, with the accompanying green leaves - so how come this isn't called "Here Comes the Bride"? Well, for starters, the floral accords are muted enough by the smell of dustiness. I know on Demeter's website they claim that one of the notes is "old Oriental rug." I imagine that that rug has to be one of those really old horsehair rugs that smell stuffy and musty no matter how clean they've been kept along with decades-old furniture (they never have particularly new furniture in funeral parlors) which I find to be the dominant note of "Funeral Home". Underneath all of that, there is also a strange chemical smell, like a very sweet synthetic musk that, if you have ever been in a high school biology class you will know. This is certainly not an "easy" scent to wear but if you just need a good, depressing, melancholy, tragic scent-look no further. They got this one spot on. Unleash your inner Morticia! P. S. I'm giving this a "Love" because of its originality, its authenticity, and the mood it captures. And frankly, I really think Funeral Home smells great.

this is straight up walking into a funeral parlor or one of those little shops by the cemetery. it's a super photorealistic chrysanthemum together with a very well executed white lily, and i am also getting gerbera there, all of them with stems and leaves and everything. it opens up with a weird, spooky, almost chemical smell - sort of like embalming fluid, a clean corpse in a casket, or maybe it's paraffin candles, or spools of cheap curling ribbons? it disappears in the drydown and changes the mood of this perfume, letting you know that the funeral's over, that the only thing you're left with now are the flower wreaths upon the mound of fresh dirt. i'm also positively surprised with the wear time of this one (considering it's demeter), on my skin it stays for around 5-6 hours while on the clothes i can still catch it after 12. it's perfect. i'm obsessed. if you are a fan of spooky scents, don't even hesitate. (works great combined either with perles de lalique or myrrh & tonka - you either get a ghost on a frosty, foggy morning at the cemetery, or a vampire wrapped in a cashmere blanket, being all cozy in their old gothic mansion)

This is so beautiful I almost cry! It's so unique and I can't find out any perfume that even remind a little of this one. I've looked for a really dark floral for ages and this is perfect! I can agree with those who says that it's a tint of old flower water but it is only in the first moments. The beginning is quite overwhelming for me who have worked with flowers it's reminds of the smell when you prepare the flowers for the arrangement. You take out the flowers of the water, take away old flowers, remove some of the foliage and cut the steems in the right height, all smells at the same time... But very fast it evolve to the real bouquet with only fresh flowers. First the Lilys is most dominant but when the times go on the carnations take over and gives the end its soft woody spiciness. For me this was a blind buy. I was looking for perfume that smells like real carnations and I'm so happy that I found it but iI don't think it's a safe buy that fits everyone.

Had this on my wish list for ages, and finally got it after waiting for it to restock in Canada -- and I was NOT disappointed. The scent is almost entirely white floral, not in the way perfumes typically handle it, but in a true hyperealistic "fresh" flower way. After the floral scent hits you, it's followed by a bit of dust and petrichor. The best way I can describe it, other than a funeral home, is as if you have a vase of fresh flowers in your home that you catch a whiff of from time to time when you walk past it. But they are not entirely fresh? Like when you hang them to dry possibly and they get a slight bit of that rotting scent to them before they finish dehydrating. You still get the freshness, but with a musty and "rotten" twist, not in a gross way but in a niche beautiful way? -- making it a tad more dynamic. AND great price... 100ml for $30 CAD... Demeter will always be my affordable go-to. Can't wait to pair this with Heretic Nosferatu

Ha-ha, this is indeed a very photorealistic smell of dying flowers. Immediately reminded me of cemeteries I attended. Hauntingly beautiful smell, nothing corpse-like or nasty about it. It's just flowers. Yeah, maybe flowers at a grave but that makes them even more beautiful. A poetic image of a life coming to end yet still not quite being over. Flowers give out their most sincere and fragrant essence right before they stop smelling like anything. This is cool and unique and I argue that it's not particularly challenging to wear. Better than generic designer florals for sure. Makes you appreciate life. Poor longevity is the only minus I could find.

I was unsure of this when I first smelled it. It was captivating, but I wasn’t sure if it was in a good way. As time passed, I found myself thinking of this fragrance a lot, and missing it. Now when I smell it it’s pure love. It’s delicate and beautiful but also lonely and macabre. It makes me feel like the antique ghost I wish to become. I long for the autumn days where I can drown myself in this aroma and feel truly cursed. My only regret is how short lasting the fragrance is. If anyone has recommendations for stronger scents in this vein, I would be forever grateful. TLDR: a sleeper hit, now this scent is all I can think about 😵💫😍

this is an interesting one, I cant say wheter I like or not, on one hand is has this linear smell of flowers that is nice and soothing on the other hand there is an ingredient which makes one note separate itself from the others and stand out, a strong stingy one which I reminds me of..chlorophorm? anyway, it really smells like a funeral home. I cant say where one can wear this perfume, definitely not on a date or at a kindergarten play or a birthday party. Longevivity is weak though and that's a shame, sillage is even worse. Corpsish scent, I feel like Lurch from Adams family while wearing it but I cant fully say I dislike it.

It smells exactly like its name suggests. This is the perfect year-round perfume for anyone who enjoys an atmosphere of restrained gloom and quiet loneliness. It's also exactly what I had been looking for. It's the only perfume in my collection that I can comfortably wear even in the middle of summer! I only wish the longevity and projection were a little stronger. (To be honest, the scent almost disappears after about 3 hours.) Even so, it's my favorite perfume. And considering the price, the value is almost unbelievable. 😻 In Korea, you can buy a 30ml bottle for around $20 from the official online store. DEMETER, THANK YOU!

Intriguing! My only complaint is that don’t know when I’m ever going to be in the appropriate situation to wear this. Maybe I should just wear it grocery shopping. As someone who has attended an unfortunate amount of funerals, yeah, it’s the same old smell you forget until you're forced to remember. It’s lilies, it’s old carpet, and for some reason, it’s SPECIFICALLY the funeral of an elderly person. Can’t explain that one, but there’s certainly a difference. If you’re in the mood to have flashbacks to your loved ones’ funerals, you’re in luck. Here it is! The worst day of your life in a bottle.

It smells exactly of those carnation bouquets sold at the front of grocery stores. The slightly chemical floral because of some kind of preservative they use in cut flowers. It's a carnation and chrysanthemum bouquet still cold and dripping after you pull it out of the big container holding all the other assortments of colours and textures you passed on. My ex used to bring me those bouquets, this scent perfectly evokes the bitter sweet feeling of those memories with a sharp coldness that cuts and bites at the heartstrings. Now I'm depressed. Thanks Demeter.

My first thought was very strongly of flowers as my skin tends to pull out floral notes from whatever I put on it. My dad said it smells like old lady death potpourri. I second the floral death sentiment of that statement, but I really enjoy it. I have to fight an urge to drink it when I open the bottle as, in the bottle, it smells like an alcoholic beverage. Aside from adding that I'd recommend it to others that like smelling ghostly, I don't have much to say. The name sums it up perfectly. It's flowery, deathly, chemically, and sickly sweet.

I adore fragrances with a darker, yet gentle touch, and Funeral Home is one of them. This scent certainly has an air of stillness and even melancholy to it, while the white floral notes make it lovable. It might not be for everyone. It reminds me much of Lush's Death and Decay. My mom said that Death and Decay make her think of rotten flowers, but not Funeral Home. Demeter's composition is much cleaner. The only downside is that as many of Demeter's other fragrances: it doesn't last very long.

It smells like wet grass, soil, and lilies. If I want to get technical the grassy plant smell is probably green accord and the lily smell is supported by the carnation. This does not smell like dead anything or embalming anything. I can see an association to a funeral in that lilies and carnations are often present in bouquets and cemeteries often have wet grass. It's very much a living spring showers smell and unique and for that reason I love it.

this one took me a minute to get on board with. it smells sort of like hospital i suppose. it's chemical smelling, very sharp and cold. i do get faint floral notes from it once it's been sitting for a few minutes but not enough to overtake the smell of embalming fluid. you definitely get what it says on the label, and that's okay with me!

have been loving wearing this one lately, i can see the gothic elements in that it has lily and a sort of waxed wood/dusty carpet scent, but it also has a watery, vase water scent that makes it light and surprisingly refreshing ! love it for a unique spring floral, but could see it working in any season

I had this perfume about 2 years ago and really loved it. To me, it smelled like carnations, old church and old books. I especially enjoyed wearing it during my favourite time of year, November to March. The dark winter months and this perfume go exceptionally well together.

To me, the opening is the best part. It literally smells like withered roses. It smells like the name suggests a funeral home, like a really old church.

As a Funeral Director, I'm often asked "...what is that fragrance" as soon as one enters the door of a funeral home. It seems to hit one's sense of smell immediately and abides with them until they leave and breath outdoor air again. Even with state-of-the-art air conditioning and air circulation systems, this overwhelming floral fragrance cannot be masked and for good reason. In the later part of the 19th century through the early 1900's when successful embalming was oftentimes hit or miss, undertakers relied on block ice concealed beneath the deceased as a back up; especially, since wakes went on for several days. Unfortunately cold air descends rather than rises and the concept was of little or no use. On occasion; during the winter months, undertakers would maintain a list of local men who were available to guard the corpse outdoors all night. They were customarily given a bottle of whiskey to guard against animals that might happen by until the following morning when the deceased was returned to their parlor. Regardless whether it was in the heat of summer or inside a heated home during the winter months, after a couple of days, the odor of preliminary decomposition would permeate the air. It was then that profusions of flowers arrived on the scene and steadily evolved into a standardized tradition in the expression of sympathy. Flowers bring comfort to the family of the deceased and distract from the undeniable stillness of a casketed body. What is the order of fragrances one is likely to experience when entering a funeral home? The first; which is the strongest are carnations (and lillies if in season) followed by roses. Crysanthemums and gladiolas lend minimal fragrances. Because a small vent (trocar button) is inserted in the abdomen of the deceased during embalming, one is likely to also detect the smell a synthetic musk which is customarily added to cavity fluid. Demeter's "Funeral Home" is a nice fragrance but should have been called anything but.

Allow me to set the scene for you... A young, blonde girl enters the spare, dimly-lit apartment. She complains that it's cold. The tenant replies that, yes, "the forced air unit is broken." Because of course it is... like so many things are in this life. She looks around. She focuses... she really, truly *looks,* as people rarely do, but she looks *too late.* Slowly, with horror, she begins to realize what she is seeing is undeniably real... pillows stuffed with human hair, various sympathy wreaths decaying in front of her eyes -- she is in trouble, and she knows it. So many sympathy wreaths... they cannot possibly belong to one person, or one funeral. And they don't. This is the exact scent of the abode of Donald Addie Pfaster in the X-Files episode "Irresistible." The lilies are a day too old, and stolen from various graveside services... the smell is that of curated, funereal flowers (mainly lilies and carnations) left a day or two too long in their vases, and the accompanying fragrance of the stagnant water they sit in. It's the scent of beauty at the edge of decay. The lingering hint of a funeral home -- something waxy and floral and yet, vaguely chemical -- remains in the air. It's compelling and repulsive at the same time. This may be the olfactory equivalent of a train wreck -- you want to ignore it, but you can't. If you're looking to capture a specific mood or moment in time with a scent -- and you want that mood to be dark and chilling -- this might be the perfume to try. I use this every time I watch the episode (it operates as a sort of immersive smell-o-vision, and it does its job effectively). It's something I shun, yet simultaneously crave and recognize as true. I bought a bottle out of curiosity, and ended up liking it and finding a use for it. Performance is amazing for a Demeter; most of them don't last more than 30 minutes on my skin, but I get hours out of Funeral Home.

This scent is very true to its name. I bought this because my favourite scent Is Death and Decay by Lush, which has notes of wilting flowers. While that fragrance denotes a deep feeling of melancholia and prolonged grief in a sincere elegance, Funeral Home is the sense of being present at a Funeral Home, one with an attached mortuary or preservation area, where the scents of embalming and flowers meet. It feels like its projection the artiface around Death as a ritual that clashes with facing death as it is. But, its during its final process of drydown that I recognise the faint powdery softness of the wilting lillies, as if once the artiface of the ritual is over, only the flowers wilting away truly do represent mourning. I layered this scent also with Death and Decay and was pleasantly surprised with its increase in mutual moodiness of an unaired waiting room with older furniture and a carpet floor, the kind that lacks the overly sanitised vibe of a hospital waiting room and instead feels like you might be visiting someone's nana at a nursing home. Its longevity on me was around 3 hours tops, and its more of a skin scent on me unless I thoroughly overspray, which for me would defeat the contrasting balancing act of this fragrance. Having said all this, I should add that this is not blind buy safe. If you're looking to smell nice in a more traditional sense this is unlikely to be a fit. But it is unusual in a very simple way.

floral sofa in a dusty foyer. blinds shut, so little light, the room appears greyscale. heavy lilies weighed down by their own petals, drooping in stagnant murky water. hints of mildew hanging in the humid air, with wafts of sterile solvents and formaldehyde. scuffed patent leather mary janes, toes tapping together by the cemetery creek, shaking shins on the glistening grass underneath weeping willow arms and spindly tendrils. play-acting mouchette, tumbling down a hill into water, dropping a teacup and mourning loss. initially sharp and synthetic white florals that turn one's nose up and smell like cleaning chemicals, but as the scent settles down further it grows softer, like real white lilies with thick petals, at times becoming borderline aquatic, other times smelling earthy like rich soil, reminding me of decaying plants by a riverbed, forgotten bouquets in a hospice room, and the sterile haunted air of a mortuary. songs for funeral home: trees and flowers by strawberry switchblade, lotus garden by g-schmitt, moved to tears by lowlife, when you're quiet by earwig. edit 8/16/21: forgetting how bad demeter splash bottles are, i accidentally spilled a third of the bottle onto my forearm! despite this much of the scent being on me, it still only lasted about an hour before turning into a faint skin scent. such a beautiful scent, though.

🪦 This is truly unisex perfume. Unfortunately it stays 3-4 hours on my skin. And it’s very depressing (which is cool because I loved the vibe) The scent is fresh and cold, like a misty morning. But it carries an odd, unsettling note beneath the freshness is unnerving, like something that shouldn't exist in such a clean, beautiful place. Like something rotting hidden under silk. It feels wrong in a quiet, subtle way. Like a vast field of wildflowers surrounded by mist. It looks normal at first glance, but something feels off. Too quiet. Too still. This scent feels like a threshold. A limbo. A place between worlds. An afterlife that is neither hell nor heaven— just endless distance and cold air. It smells like death, but not in a dark, bloody, gruesome way. It's distant. Pale. Emotionless. Cold and empty. It smells like sadness, like the feeling of loss. Fresh grief. A very gothic scent, but not dark, black goth. It's white lace, ethereal goth. Ghostly, with a faint decaying note beneath it. Haunted. It has the same vibe as Serge Lutens L’Orpheline: a cold, misty morning in a cemetery. It gives off the feeling of standing over someone’s grave. However, while L’Orpheline feels like quiet sadness over a long-forgotten grave, Funeral House is more prominent — fresh grief over a new grave.

Such a complex scent.. At first it was kind of disappointing, since my first spray was a chemical, dusty wood. I am a diehard white floral fan and i was yearning for the photorealistic lily some mentioned, which i didn't get at all. As time passes the flowers are subtly revealing themselves, mostly the carnations, but still it smells as if they're literally inside a coffin. I love all things gothic and macabre and all but this is truly a sad smell, definitely not fresh or sunny. Its impressive how it smells enclosed (?), it smells like you're inside a wooden room with some flowers and an old carpet, sitting on a wooden chair. I get why it was named that instead of flower show, and i believe its way accurate. Longevity is ok, more of a skin scent, the formula is a bit oily, and i definitely tho think its not for everyday its totally wearable and i dont find it offensive. Good for layering if you want a note of abandonment, I layered it with the jasmine oil by song of india and it definitely brings out the florals more. Tbh it's mysterious nature is kinda captivating. Im liking it more and more with each passing moment, i started this review skeptical and now i kinda cant stop thinking about it. Truly unique fragrance, worth a try for its low price

This was a blind buy based on all the reviews and I find the name rather interesting. To me, the first blast was a bitter and plastic(ky) smell which I thought could well possible be the smell of disinfectant liquid or even formaldehyde. And after about 1 minute that faded away and the smell of lilies and carnations predominated. I also detected something green in the background and also something earthy. The smell of lilies that I got wasn't from fresh lilies somehow, these are probably 4-5 days old lilies in the vase, the petals started to wither and pollen started falling. And this is not a mild smell though, it's rather intense. It indeed smells melancholic and captured the smell of funeral very well. Another thing this fragrance could smell similar to is inside of a flower shop. Just the smell that hit you when you enter the flower shop. I also let my husband tried it on but he claimed that he smelled rotting water from a lilies vase, like if you haven't changed the water for a week and the stems start to rot but I haven't got that though.

I loved the concept and the scent didn't disappoint. It's not one of the office friendly fragrances nor a compliment getter, but I didn't notice anyone's apparent disgust when I wore this in public. It's mostly about the florals, especially lilies, but it's deprived of some kind of flowery innocence and freshness. Instead, it has an unsettling undertone of an unspecified basement stench, something dusty like an old attic and a hint of wet soil maybe. Alternatively, it may be associated with an old wooden church adorned with lilies during a funeral mass. The scent seems somewhat serene, but in a slightly morbid way, makes one think of old stuff falling into squalor. There's no light and air in this fragrance if you get my point, but it conveys a feeling of sadness pretty adequately. Beware - it has a very oily consistency which I learned the hard way, accidentally spraying my hair. I would assume it may leave stains on a synthetic piece of clothing as well, given its oiliness. However, it lasts for ages on a cotton shirt.

All of these reviews saying it smells like embalming fluid and not enough Lilly make me feel insane because I do NOT get that at all. I'm wondering if people would say something different if this had s different name. I'm a mortician and spend plenty of time around arterial solutions and this doesn't remind me of that. To me embalming fluid has a more industrial cleaner/wintergreen/benzene smell. I guess it's a tad chemically but more in a household cleaner kind of way. This scent has a very strong white lilly/dust sent on first spray that settles down into a woody/musty smell. Reminds me of being in an old house that's been maintained well, and the windows are open to a flower garden. Very distinctive old house smell like you would get going into an old family-run funeral home. Also has a hint of carnation, baby's breath, mothballs, and upholstery spray. The smell you get when you sit on grandma's old couch from the 70s. I like it, it's nostalgic to me.

This scent is cold, like stepping onto lilies left on a frigid marble floor type of cold. I don't get the dusty scents at first, it really packs a punch of antyseptic and florals (and water? Like holy water? or something salty) but then the scent dies down on the skin to reveal this muskiness with an aftersmell of that same lily but now much more muted and dead (somehow). Very original and particular, maybe even intimate I'd say. Careful if you blind buy, I did and it worked out but I can see how some wouldn't give this scent a chance. I've been pairing it with Coffee Addict by Theodoros Kalotinis and I find the roasted beans to be an incredible base for the Lilies to sprout upon. Like being offered an espresso as you wait for a professional to guide you through marbled coffins on a cold afternoon. Interesting :)

I truly wish there was more Lily to this. This has been one of my dream fragrances due to the whole funeral branding and the promise of white florals ad nauseam, but the lily is so muted here. I will say that the other flowers are absolutely incredible, really giving off that feel of death... but less in a freshly cut and arranged wreath of flowers for a dead relative way, and like a forgotten vase of dead blooms. The animatic note is totally present; there’s something there that sort of lurks beneath the flowers at first. Overall, this is still a very goth-y scent, and one that I think is incredibly beautiful, just not for the reasons I was truly hoping for. Maybe layering with more Lily heavy scents will do this one Justice in my mind..

This smells exactly like a funeral home, like it or not! My 19 year-old son said it smelled like an old lady--I said, "no son, it smells like a dead lady." My husband was totally spooked-- and turned off by this product even being available on the market. One fact that we were all in agreement with is that it lives up to its name. It smells of a funeral home! Lol I am very satisfied with my purchase. This was indeed, a blind buy. I purchased this to layer. I can't imagine wearing this fragrance alone. Today, I have it layered with Jovan Island Gardenia. I have created a masterpiece! These 2 complement each other perfectly. These two together have great projection and longevity. A great signature scent. Not a safe blind buy.

Earth and chrysanthemums. Amazing scent, I love it. The earth is damp, freshly dug from the old grave with the remains of flowers with a predominance of lilies. The chrysanthemums are taken out of the water vase, the stems begin to rot at the end. As a whole, it really works like Funeral Home. If you go to a party and don't want to smell like mainstream and everyone else, this is exactly what you need. The longevity is rather average, but it is enough for the evening. I must repeat again, wonderful and unusual smell, I highly recommend to all genders.

I really like it! and oh my GOD!! I use to work in a nursing home as a CNA and when a resident would pass sometimes the funeral bouquets would be given to the facility. They would leave them in the entrance sitting room where residents, visitors and workers could take a few home. This smells EXACTLY like this room full of lilies, white carnations and all manner of white flowers with a bit of old wood! It's amazing, sad and beautiful at the same time! I wish they would come out with a pure perfume, the pick-me-up cologne doesn't last long.

Consistent with good Demeter fragrances - impressively realistic, poor longevity, great value, and it could be good for layering because its so simple. This looked like it was gonna be some crazy gothic tear-jerking miracle scent so I had to try it. Nice muted florals without too much zing which helps it not smell too synthetic, and some mustiness and dampness beneath it. Not actually too crazy or emotional, but it's a nice take on a floral fragrance.

I bought this after reading furneralparty’s comment that this smells like Disintegration by The Cure. Holy hell. It does. I don’t get where the “warm spicy” notes are - to me this is a cold, clean smell, almost chemical (formaline?) but very flowery. The flowers are though not sweet and floral - chrysanthemum is a cementary smell, a bit stuffy. It may not sound like a great combination but oh I miss the kiss of treachery.

This smells exactly like the bottom of a bouquet of flowers. Uncannily. The original name for this was "flower show" and i think it's much more that than funeral home. This is a VERY photorealistic scent of a flower shop or just what it smells like but not any specific flowers. I tried this with my mother and she made me wipe it off because she said it smelt too much like a funeral home and gave her bad memories lmao

In the first few minutes it smells cold, sharp and bitter like a disinfectant used in hospitals. It does (very vaguely) remind me of a funeral home. After that it calms down though and a very light and pleasant scent of white flowers remains. It's alright but I expected more. I feel like this perfume is trying to be way more edgy than it actually is.

I'm trying really really hard to smell the flower notes in here. I can understand if the notes was the semi spoiled flower water. It's a dusty, dark attic smell, or smell of old furniture from the 70's in an old cabin. It's an interesting perfume, i must say. Not much silliage nor long lasting, but it's an original (for me) at an nice price.

I really like this fragrance. It’s pretty close to capturing the scent of a funeral home, in my opinion. It’s a cold floral, with a mintiness I am able to pick up on. I believe it’s the white lilies that give off that funeral home vibe. I like this a lot, it’s a nice cold feeling fragrance. I prefer wearing it in the winter.

Smells exactly as it's named. At first, it punches you with formaldehydic, synthetic smell - you entered the house. Dries down to stunning white lillies and chrysanthemums, that the wreath is composed of. Heavy but suprisingly light at the same time. Great one to wear if you want to be avoided. Love it!

I don't know what people expect when they smell this, it's supposed to be musty, floral, and old. It does it's job and does a damn good job at that. There's the musty stale room where the event takes place, the wet soil outside, and both the rotting and fresh Lilies littered throughout the area.

this is exactly the type of mildew i was looking for—the one that lives in clothes which have been left in the damp basement for too long. i've tried several scents but nothing compares to 'funeral home.' in fact, it's perfect. haven't seen people here say much about this side of the perfume

on first spray, this fragrance is a rich, sorrowful version of a lily scent. as time passes it becomes more subtle and i notice some oriental spice notes (specifically cardamom or clove) and a vague sweetness. the smell is overwhelmingly sad yet fresh. it would be perfect for a rainy day.

i don't care about fragrance names - i just care about how they smell. this is pretty, but it smells like roses and lilies. it's tempting to keep it, but i already have scents that smell like roses and scents that smell like lilies and i can just layer them if i want that scent.

Holy smokes, this smells just like my grandparent's funeral. BAD MEMORIES. Smells pretty good though, white flowers. Smells just like sitting on the end of a pew with all those funeral garlands in a line on the wall next to you and the faint smell of the mahogany casket.

Despite the name, this is actually a rather nice fragrance that works especially well with a Victorian Goth aesthetic. A little musty, white flowers positively shine here... and is that a trace of embalming fluid? Whatever it is, it works.

I've always enjoyed these aptly called Pick-Me-Up fragrances. This one smells almost exactly like sticking your head into a florist's fridge. To me, there is nothing moody or melancholic here. The carnation is lovely.
