Beauty as a pure gardenia. Lovely and good to wear!

This is like very original, no added notes of fragrances. Pure and Simple. The same smell when you wash gardenia flower with water. the watery feeling is so there. Unfortunately the silleage is extremely poor atleast to me. the overpowering coconut-iness of jovan's island gardenia is not here. but since the longevity is a mirage, this completely slips into 26th rank behind D'Squared She Wood in my cupbooard. Those who want to smell a real gardenia however a bit watered down. this one is you. but if you want to see the magic of the powerhouse flower, it leaves a lot to be desired. Verdict: Scent: 9/10 Silleage: 4/10 logevity: 4/10

One squirt from the tiny sample vial knocked my socks off. "Wow!" I said — right out loud, even though I was home alone. To me, that one squirt made the room smell precisely like the fresh-picked gardenias a family friend sometimes sends from his garden in Florida. I ordered this because my mother adores gardenias and swears that nobody can replicate their scent, but I think Demeter just might have done it. I don't know if I can wait until her birthday in November to get her reaction! Will definitely update this review when she weighs in.

This smells like you've shoved your head into the middle of a gardenia bush. You smell the old wilting ones and leaves and dirt as well as the fresh. Very nice!

This is a beautiful, sweet and creamy gardenia. Perfect for spring and summer!

Gardenia is my favorite note right now, but not Demeter's version. I like an upbeat, playful, lively gardenia. One that complements as it layers, or can stand alone. This gardenia smelled like it was dying and moldy--dirty, if you will. I've had this for months and decided to layer it with Tea Rose for a fresh bouquet. Instead, I got a wilted bouquet and top soil! Longevity and silage are very weak. A quite dangerous blind buy...

Unfortunately to me, I find this quite artificial-smelling, almost plasticy & kind of mint Lifesaver-y. Drydown goes a bit.. wet-cardboard-y. Imo, Ouai's Rue St Honore is a much better "realistic" gardenia scent. This does remind me of that but imo not as good. Rue St Honore, to me, is the more realized version of this scent.

I adore gardenia when I find a variation that works for me. This, however, is not it. The floral creaminess clashes with sharp greenness that gives me a slightly queasy feeling. A pass from me!

Always on the hunt for more Gardenia frags; I totally forgot that Demeter had one in their catalog! Very straight forward - no surprises. It's somewhat sharper and colder than I had expected but all the while very natural smelling. Lasts longer on clothing, sheets, pillowcases --than on skin. A great general purpose Gardenia for layering or whatever. You get a big bottle for like $24.00 so spritz away!

I usually refrain from giving negative comments without being constructive. However, this is pretty awful - and is mostly a strong chemical smell with a strange musty dry down. Spend a bit more money and try some of the many other gardenia scents available!

Have you ever smelled a REAL gardenia ? It's not a pretty cosmetic counter smell . It's a rubbery , heady , thick dense, plant smell. THIS smells like a real flower on the bush ! Use this to LAYER with and you shall strike GOLD.
