Ivy

This is a freeby that came in with other decants i had ordered, at frist i genuinely hated it (and still hate the unbarable sharp & soapy opening). Regardless i started using it as a room/ toilet freshener over the fall and now my room doesn't feel like a place to stay without it (I fell for the trap). Anyways the aquatic and ozonic notes that emmitt a fresh almost but not completely greeeeen and soapy scent has me hooked, i might just get this again if I ran out (and that's a very BIG "if"). Edit: a year later I still have it and use it with strong musk scents near me like "Hayaati" by Lattafa to lessen the sharp note and make it more smoother. I also water it down to lower it's strength in another small spray bottle to use it as a casual sprayer for anything (uses it on clothes, bathrooms, in shower, in my room......etc, literally everywhere, it's beautiful).

I've tried maybe 9 different Demeter fragrances at this point, and Ivy is the first I've really enjoyed. I do smell ivy in it, but not fresh green ivy. It's dry and a bit powdery. It actually reminds me of the smell of dried eucalyptus, which I happen to love. I thoroughly douse myself with this stuff because its longevity is so poor (fortunately you can find this for relatively cheap, so I'm not mad about it). But I think this is something to spray on your skin, not clothes. If I press my nose into whatever fabric I'd sprayed it on the next day, I will be able to smell a slightly more stale and almost mildewy-smelling version of the scent. If it weren't for that minor feature, I think this would make a lovely room spray. It might not necessarily be something you want to smell like, but it's a totally soothing scent.

Fresh, green, and something like the scent of Irish Spring soap, though not quite as manly. Good for cooler weather, with a bit more sillage than many Demeters.

Of all the demeter rollers i have and had this one was the weakest even though it was new. Can't even judge the smell itself because if was barely there to begin with.

I have the roll-on oil version of this scent, which was a freebie with my recent order. It wears very close to the skin, as one would expect for an oil. For the first 10 minutes or so, it's mildly green and grassy, but afterward it settles into smelling pretty much like white Dove soap, which for me is a cozy, pleasant fragrance. If I find myself reaching for the roll-on often enough, I may buy a bottle of the cologne.
