Jelly Belly Hot Fudge Sundae

Rich hot fudge with whipped cream and a cherry on top... This smells more or less like the name, a sweet, chocolate-y, fudge-y confection, with a fainter note of Jelly Belly Very Cherry. Though overall, this is a hot-fudge/chocolate scent. This isn't the thinner Nestle chocolate syrup, but truly a hot fudge with some body to it. I don't really get an ice-cream or ice-milk note, as this is more about the hot-fudge with a single cherry on top. There's a rounder vanilla note that I notice more during the wear which I guess is the stand in for ice-cream, but comes a little closer to whipped cream like the write-up says. There's also more cinnamon & honey here than I was expected, but I suppose that's due to the multi-faceted Mexican chocolate that has nuances of cacao, honey, cinnamon, dark-chocolate & milk-chocolate. All in all, this is one of the nicer chocolate scents I've smelled. Performance is well above average for an EDC. The liquid is a caramel colour and lasts about 3 hours on the skin with an oily sheen, but up to 12 hours on clothing. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update: Sprayed this on today, and really noticing the whipped cream although the hot fudge is still the main player. I still get a rich chocolate-fudge with hints of oozing honey & pinch of cinnamon. Smells so delicious!

Blind bought it (also first time I smell a Demeter perfume). Scent is on point. I Smell chocolate syrup, vanilla and waffley ending. Surprisingly sillage is good and it's very long lasting (usually perfume doesn't hold on me a lot). The scent doesn't change over time, just the volume is lower. Very cozy, simple and tasty scent. Probably could be layered with other perfume. I really liked it and was surprised by the good performance, but it's subjective I guess. Highly recommended to sweet and gourmand lovers.

Definitely my strongest, in your face Demeter fragrance. My hot fudge sundae bottle doesnt say Jelly Belly but I’m assuming it’s the same scent as there is an underlying medicinal cherry note. Think of a cheap maraschino cherry. It definitely smells like hot fudge, but like a smoky, dark chocolatey fudge. It’s not a bad scent, it just leans a little too masculine for me and is a bit too punchy and smoky. The smokiness reminds me of Replica’s By the Fireplace which I think would actually layer really well with this, just be careful not to choke anyone out with how intense these would be together.

This cologne spray smells strongly of chocolate sauce and nothing else on me. The smell is quite heavy and dark which I dislike. My boyfriend likes it even less so this is a no-go for me. It's on my dislike list. I am not going to wear this so I have moved it to my Had-list. Edited March 26, 2015: Swapped this away to another Fragrantican. She likes it. I think it smells different on her than it did on me. This is the first time I've found out how skin chemistry can influence the perfume.

Demeter Fragrance have absolutely NO staying power! I tried at least 10 different ones and none of them stayed on my skin for longer than 20 min..

I smelled this as a child and it was the worst and nastiest stuff ever. How can anyone like this?

Doesnt smell like a REAL LIFE hot fudge sundae... smells like a Jelly Belly interpretation of it. If you like the Jelly Belly jelly bean scents than there you go. It doesnt have the horrible chemical under-smell that most Demeters have.

This is AWESOME! The best of the really sweets. Smells Exactly like it's supposed to.

straight up smells like an eraser. a sweet eraser at that. not a safe blind buy.
