Jelly Belly Sugar and Spice

I really dig this fragrance but it does not last on me... I looove the Very cherry Cream but it is not in the database. Love has turned into like for this one...

Cinnamon jelly bellies, to be more precise! I like the whimsical and happy approach of the Demeter group. They don't take themselves seriously and simply approach olfaction with a childlike reverence. Isn't it amazing how many different scents there are? And Demeter is attempting to capture them in small bottles so that you can take them with you! One question that always arises in my mind with the more readily available scents is: why not just get the real deal? If you really want the scent of jelly bellies, why not simply fill your mouth with a bunch of them and chew? Perhaps this sort of scent is intended for dieters? Not really sure. Anyway, this is a successful facsimile, provided only that the handful of jelly bellies contains a majority of cinnamon red hot-flavored beans, and maybe a couple of stray other flavors to impart that specifically jelly bean-like scent. I do not believe that this smells like spiced jelly beans, so the name of this creation is a tiny bit misleading, but it's nice that Demeter has a huge organ of tester bottles wherever they are sold. On top of that, the price of these bottles is so modest, that they seem to really want to share the joy of sniffing more than anything else. Sometimes I get the impression that perfumistas look down on Demeter, but that may simply be because they want to feel that they were justified in paying $300 for a bottle of niche perfume. Demeter is budget niche, but they do what they set out to do rather well.

This is a weird bird. Imagine chewing up the jelly belly jelly beans left at the bottom of the bag - cherry, tuttifruitti, cinnamon (like red-hots), jalapeno, cream soda, bubble gum, mint and a few assorted others. Now imagine opening your mouth and saying "Ahhhh." The glistening jewels of half eaten candy smell just like this. It's unusual. I was expecting "spice" like spice cake, or bay rum, dried cinnamon and cloves - and instead got this weird hodge podge. It's sweet but jarring. I didn't like it at all at first, but I think I may find a place for it in the late fall. I think it would layer well with cedar.
