La Vida Latina Sweet Cilantro

I've been on a real cilantro/coriander kick lately, so this fragrance is exactly what I'm craving these days. I use this either on its own, or else layer it to play up the cilantro/coriander note in other fragrances. I don't typically have much interest in "fresh" fragrances. I find them boring, generally speaking. So fragrances with cilantro or coriander are a good way for me to get a nice, crisp feeling. Longevity on me is good. It outlasts -by far-most citrus notes, which would be the usuall suspects in a summer frag. I do spray on my clothes, though. Always, because my skin eats fragrance. I dont think this is at all limited to Summer, by the way. When I first spray this, it smells slightly sweet. However, this quickly fades, and I'm glad of that. Because it's the cilantro I crave from this, not the sweet.

I tried a small purse spray size tester then ordered the Sweet Cilantro body oil, body lotion, and largest size cologne I love it!!! It smells like freshly cut cilantro after it rains with green peppers being cut up with it and a hint of something sweet but not too much. This scent is very refreshing in 115-120 degree desert heat without being cloying or headache giving. I can smell a hint of a trail at home but really it is a skin scent mainly. Outside the heat this will last 2-3 hours max but I enjoy reapplying it. That blast of green peppers and cilantro makes me feel like I am a walking freshly made salad, odd but satisfactory! I recommend testing this if you like fresh vegetables scents. It is a great everyday scent during hot summer. It is still 90 in November here so I will wear it most of the year.

I love the fresh, herbal smell on my hands that I get after chopping up cilantro. Unfortunately, this fragrance only dimly approximates the aroma. Mostly, it smells like candy. It doesn't have the freshness or the crisp zestiness of real cilantro. In fact, if I did not know if was supposed to be cilantro, I would guess that this was a pear perfume. It is very fruity.
