Lemon Meringue

Creamy Meringue and Lemon Curd Filling... This has a sweet & creamy meringue & soft lemon sillage, and up close I get the sweet & tart lemon curd filling. The sillage has the creamy lemon that reminds me of J.R.Watkins Lemon Cream body products, but it also has an additional sweet-tart-lemon note up close on the skin. Since this has vanilla, the liquid will likely darken further improving the performance, but so far, the liquid is still clear, and it leaves an oily sheen on the skin, with average performance. Soft but present sillage, and moderate longevity for an EDC. Layers well over the Lemon Cream body products by Watkins for added performance. Overall a gorgeous creamy lemon scent. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 02/15/25: Layered this on today over Shalimar EDP Guerlain, and oh my! Fantastic! It's great on it's own, but in winter I bet it would layer great over any citrus-vanilla (Lira Xerjoff, Vanille Franck Boclet, Tendre Madeleine Laurence Dumont...). Love it.

Olfactive Diary Entry #53 Hello there! I am amazingly surprised at this one! It's just that good! I sprayed it on paper and it was the most delicious, realistic experience of lemon meringue. And I am not one for overly sweet scents or gourmands in general, but this just strikes a quite perfect balance of a bit of tart lemon curd, with a touch of sugar and vanilla. So I tried it on skin, just waiting for some kind of downfall or a disappointing dry down, but no. It just remained as lovely smelling as on first impression. In fact, it's quite addictive and keep going back to it for a smell. I might just have to buy a bottle of this soon.

I'm really just going to duplicate everything that's already been said, because it's all true: This stuff smells delicious. Tart, sugary, creamy and refreshing. The vanilla note tempers the lemon just enough to create an appetizing balance of sweetness and citrus. (If you're wondering how this compares with Demeter's Pink Lemonade — it's smoother, and more sugary, mainly due to the vanilla.)

This fragrance will make me happy all summer. It does smell just like lemon merengue pie, my favorite. It's lemon vanilla merengue powdered sugar and a bit creamy. Great lasting power...considering. I think this will make a great fragrance to use for layering, as well.

holy moly this is so realistic. 10/10 for smell. however, it doesn't last or project as long as i would like it to (average for demeter). perfect lemon meringue pie

This is so good, but it is very subtle. A good replacement for my lovely You Are Amazing Lemon Meringue body mist (which disappears after an hour, it seems).

At first spray, lemons, lemons, lemons! Then a few seconds of alcohol/hairspray, but those soon pass, and it's back to glorious lemons once more. The vanilla comes out more later on. I will say that this is not the most long-lasting fragrance, although perhaps that's to be expected from an EDC--I usually wear EDP so I'm more used to a stronger fragrance that lasts all day. This is perfect for day wear, especially in the summer, despite the vanilla note (it's a light vanilla, and the lemon certainly keeps it lifted enough so as not to be cloying). I'd say this is perfect for a teen who wants to smell nice but isn't ready for Le Deseigneur Eau de $$$ and thinks celebrity perfumes and lingerie retailer body sprays are a bit too over-the-top for her. This is also perfect for adults who enjoy the simple things in life--it smells just like lemon meringue pie and I love it. It's certainly not too juvenile in my opinion, even though it's fruity and sweet, because of its refined simplicity. As an added bonus, if you're trying to smell nice but not too sexy for a (daytime) date, this'll do ya: guys love lemons and vanilla, according to some studies I've found online. A clean, sweet, simple scent, this fragrance goes with a floral sundress just as much as a sweater and jeans. The uplifting combination of lemon and vanilla never fails to make me smile.

I think this is so yummy and really accurate to actual lemon meringue!!! The sweetness is not cloying or sickening at all (which is sometimes my issue with sweet smells), very realistic and meshes really great with the zingy sour lemon! I was really satisfied with how this smells on my skin. It's just a shame that it only lasts such a short time. I'd invest in a perfume that smelled exactly the same but lasted longer. It's the kind of perfume you'd keep in your bag to refresh thru the day.

This one is so cool, DELICIOUS, not cloying, fresh, citrusy. I only had a sample, I carefully stored it and periodically opened it just to smell, so I don't know how it opens up on the skin, but I think it would have been good

After the initial lemon overload, the sweet creaminess of meringue kicks in, and I smell positively edible. You can even smell the pie base! My partner LOVES this and anytime I wear this he wants to ravish me.

This is a pleasant lemon-vanilla scent. It's more on the citrusy side though, which is fine. It's lovely to wear during the daytime on a sunny day.

I bought the roller ball perfume oil version of this thinking I was guaranteed more longevity. I was very wrong. It disapears almost immediately from my skin, and the sillage is non existent. It was very, very cheap so I can't complain too much about that. I also believed it was going to smell like a warm vanilla with a bit of lemon in it, however ended up with a pure lemon meringue pie, like, I was transported back to the one and only time I have ever come in contact with lemon meringue pie. It is insane! Very good perfume to give to a bubbly child <3

Oh no. It’s all sugary confection. Gah, I like catching whiffs of sweet baked goods, but being inundated with it non-stop is overwhelming. There's a tang of bright lemon zest that helps cut through. It’s not inaccurate and does actually smell like lemon meringue pie, but is cloying. Can’t imagine any situation where a guy could wear this. Effective, but gimmicky.

First tried this in winter: Artificial lemon, generic "sweet" note, and a dead on meringue scent. Lemon is gone in 10 minutes but there's a lingering hint of meringue for an hour. I'll give it another try in warmer weather, but it's lacking in cold.

Plastic, chemical, artificial vanilla with fake lemons. Normally I can use body sprays or light perfumes as a room spray if I don't like them, and my husband is okay with that, but he complained about his one and I had to use this up when he wasn't home. I don't know if it's the base ingredients that they use or what, but I've tried several of these and they all seem to have a cheap/ motor oil type of undersmell to them? I love lemon, but I really don't like this one at all.

I do like this, I believe I like Sugary Lemons More. To me this smells a little more like Key lime as opposed to "Lemon". It is probably the type of lemon & mixture they use. So if it is a blind buy, just think more on the Key lime~ish side, as opposed to Sweet lemon. It was a blind buy for me, I thought about returning it, but I do like Lime, so I think I will mix this w/ a sweet note, like LVEB, or Black Opium to give it some sweetness, & to give the other a little fruit.

I'm not a huge fan of gourmands, especially anything vanilla, but this mix is so good. It's not artificial or cloying, which usually deters me from sweet scents. the lemon note is somewhat sweet rather than fresh but still balances out the lactonic vanilla. smells pretty much exactly like a lemon meringue pie. It doesn't last too long and fades into a nice sugary note. I love her.

Given my immense fondness for homemade Lemon Meringue, this moves immediately on to my "Want" list. If it is any like many of Demeter's other Gourmand fragrances with a hint of freshness, it will be evocatively appealing to all my senses with a lingering desire to sink my teeth in to the real thing at the earliest opportunity. Inspirational.

I love this scent so much. It has barely any projection but would layer great with either a citrus or warm vanilla scent. It leans more lemony, like a freshly cut lemon, but has the sweetness of the filling of a lemon tart. I wouldn’t say it’s as sweet/vanillary as lemon meringue, it’s closer to a lemon tart.

It’s lemon Girl Scout cookie. Delightful, but pretty basic. I was hoping for a more true zesty lemon scent. This is more vanilla cookie with a bit of lemon. It’s a great mood lifter though 😊

Id love it if only it stayed more than 10 seconds, it has zero and I mean zero lasting power. Like spray yourself down and gone as you grab your keys. Ugh.
