Mildew

This is so gross. I really adore it. Like some others have mentioned it's not exactly mildew but this thing SCREAMS. For me it evokes some dank abandoned bathroom somewhere deep and damp and it absolutely just overrun with thyme. Theres something rotting in the corner and maybe dried spills of chemical cleaners but whatever the fuck has gone on in this bathroom is down right unholy and I think its so fun. I will absolutely be getting more from Demeter. Most of the samples I've tried so far have been delightful.

Yep, this one smells like musty thyme seasoning, complete with dirt. I won't be able to smell turkey and dressing the same way ever again. I don't dislike the smell, and now I'm wondering how it would work in a "real" perfume mix. Gonna have to consult the database...

I really, REALLY wanted this to smell like a musty, mildewy basement. I would have been happy with the manufacturer's description of dank air conditioner. As already commented, this smells like thyme BUT it absolutely reminded me of thyme mixed with rancid turkey fat. You know the smell when you throw away the bones and fatty skin from your roasted turkey and forget that it's in the garbage, so the fat and drippings go bad? That's what this smells like. I left it on for around 30 minutes to see if the scent would develop and it didn't. Had to wash it off of my arms. I am so glad that I only purchased a small, sampler bottle.

This was strictly a curiosity purchase. I so wanted to know if it really smelled like Mildew. I was hoping for a damp, musty basement smell. Yes, Im a weirdo lol. Good thing I only got a sampler, because this is not mildew. It is quite disgusting, actually. It has a very spicy smell that I couldnt quite put my finger on at first. Then after a couple of weeks, it finally came to me. It's Thyme! No exaggeration whatsoever. I smelled the cologne again, then I smelled the Thyme I had on my spice rack. It is identical. Shouldve just called it Thyme because thats what it is 100% No trace of mildew whatsoever.

Smells more like weird oregano than mildew. It's not a terrible scent. Mine leaked in the package, though, and it was kind of a yucky experience. Still, it's interesting.

This smells more like a urinous spice cabinet (though I've also gotten the impression of a dank spice cabinet, but more in the manner @funeralparty is describing), but not really the mildew you'd think about in purely an aquatic sense--Dark Ride by Xyrena nails this impression. For the vision this was trying to go for (and the fact that this is more spices than otherwise), this is a hard pass. It almost comes off as a rather uninspiring dupe of Boxer by HUNQ (even though it bears no semblance, maybe only in a urinous sense).

If you're looking for an accurate mildew-like perfume please get Dust by Demeter instead! This one is more like thyme and rosemary if they rotted in the garbage for a week and someone pissed on them. I'm dead serious, do not waste your money on this one, it made me nauseous and I couldn't get it off my wrist.

I'm expecting the next one to be called diarrhoea...
