Mistletoe

I don't get much of an evergreen smell as I expected to-reminds me mostly of fresh grass.

I also received the oil roller ball as a free gift with my order and was skeptical at first. I have no idea what mistletoe smells like. But after putting it on I was instantly drawn in and find myself wearing it a lot now. I still don’t know if this is what mistletoe smells like, but I like whatever it is. It is very green- reminds me of the smell of weeds and vegetation growing in a wild forest after a cold rain. It is simultaneously appropriate for Christmas but also appropriate as a spring scent due to the fresh green outdoorsy notes. It’s very non offensive. And like almost all Demeter scents, it doesn’t last long at all. I get about an hour before I can’t smell it anymore on my skin. But it’s fun to reapply anyways.

This was a freebie thrown into my order which was such a fun surprise -- but I was like??? uhhh...? Mistletoe...? Actually, it is so nice. I smell like I've just traipsed through a dewy wood, mushroom hunting around lichen laden trees. Cheery and comforting and makes me want to snuggle myself. **this is a review of the roll-on oil version

Upon first sprays I smell very green but it is not brash - more like a pleasant house plant smell. VERY shortly thereafter it turned to a still-pleasant green bar soap (like Irish Spring or Zest bar soap). I'm not against it, but not really for it, either. It's a cute offering in the Demeter 'Christmas' Collection.

Mistletoe is just the perfect fragrance for the winter holidays. This was such a great surprise when I ordered it. It has a sweet, but not overly sweet, fruity scent paired with evergreen. I will wear this year long. It is just a great 'pick me up' fragrance.
