PB & J

Peanut butter and jelly is honestly one of the most comforting and mouth-watering scents for me, but man, this cologne is rank, and that's coming from someone who was beyond excited to try it. To be fair, when I tried it on paper it wasn't half bad, and slowly transformed from a pretty accurate (although slightly synthetic) pb&j scent into mostly jelly throughout the day. But when I sprayed it on my skin? Just... a little bit disgusting if I'm being honest, and I washed it off after only five minutes. Maybe that's what a pb&j would smell like if you left it in your car for a week in the summer, I don't know. I love Demeter and their novelty scents, but this was such a big miss for me and my skin chemistry-- maybe it'd be fine for someone else. Not ranking it as a hate, because again, it smelled fine on paper and would probably work fine as a fabric spray if I decide to keep my sample.

Demeter doesn't always last long - I think it lasted 30 minutes/1 hour on my hand. But I do like it! I bought the .17ml sampler. When first sprayed, the nuttiness and bread overpowered the jelly's berry, but after it dried down, the berry came out quite well. It IS more towards the synthetic side, which makes sense! Would it be for everyone? Definitely not. It would probably layer nicely with a nuttier perfume if you wanted something to add to that fragrance. Would wear it during autumn or winter.
