Plantain

BANANA. all the way 🍌 reviews online say this isn't sweet? is starchy green? - uh, NO. This is the scent of a just ripened banana. One that still has a wee hint of green at the ends maybe. It is very natural smelling, and has the sweetness of a natural banana. Don't expect intense candy banana smell because that is not here. This is just straight up banana. It is on the lighter side too, so don't expect this one to last very long either. If you are looking for banana and that is all? Here it is - Plantain. Get the big 4 oz bottle. You will need to put on a lot and reapply often. Spray on clothes to increase longevity too. But I really like it, and glad to have it.

Warm, gently spiced, fresh plantain. Good lord, I’ve never liked bananas, but this opens delicious and not at all like that banana candy scent you might expect. I don’t normally like “gourmand” fragrances that smell too much like food, but the application has enough spices and realistic notes to not be off-putting. Oh no, wait... Didn’t take long for a thick sweetness to build, which unfortunately wreaks of teenage girls and cheap scented candles. Gross and disappointing. Pity the perfect opening was instantly replaced with such basic offensiveness. Definitely avoid. Fine projection.

This one is a disappointment for me. I was hoping for green, green bananas, and instead it smells like a syrup sweet Pina Colada. For some crazy reason, it also reminds me of Jean Paul Gautlier Le Male, which an ex-boyfriend used. I liked him okay, but didn't like his cologne, and now I own something that makes me smell like memories of him, but not the good memories. I'm not sure how I'll use this bottle.

This is so real to its name! It's my first Demeter and I love it. It's a crossover between ripe plantain and ripe banana. Nothing sweet or milky, just perfect banana! Amazing!

I was expecting a cooked sweet plaintain note. Why does this smell soapy? It's sweet and pleasant but it's not what I expected.
