Sticky Toffee

This is one of the best fragrances from The library of Demeter. You have to love a company that makes scents ranging from dirt to baby powder to laundromat to paperback book. You can literally think of any scent and they will have an incredibly realistic copy. (I use my other favourite scent "Funeral Home" to spray around the house during Halloween) On to Sticky Toffee Pudding.... which now is called by its shortened name, Sticky Toffee. It's gourmand, sweet, cuddly,sexy and Innocent all at once. It's only notes are dates and toffee but to the average nose one can smell everything from vanilla to boozy candied dates to baking sugar cookies sitting next to a cuppa hot cocoa. This scent is warm without being spicy, simple. It's long lasting and a favourite amongst Demeter customers for a reason. It is linear and works on nearly everyone's chemistry. I wear it on its own during Autumn but it can also be worn year round and layered to soften out any "hard" scents- I'm looking at YOU, Angel! There are no hidden notes with this perfume, what you see is exactly what you get. This is a worthy addition to any collection and can be ordered online from the company in several sizes ranging from a sample size to an EDP and in lotion form as well.

Cake made with Medjool dates and topped with toffee sauce... Medjool dates, pecans, toffee, vanilla extract, sugar, wheat...these are some of the notes I get here. Looking up a recipe for Sticky Toffee Pudding, I found that it's made with dates softened with boiling water which are then pulsed. My sister lived in the UK for awhile and learned to make this popular British recipe (cake with sauce as pictured), which she still does sometimes on holidays - absolutely delicious. This scent is a pretty realistic Sticky Toffee Pudding (name listed on Fragrantica is missing the word "Pudding" which is pictured on the bottle), and not far from pecan-pie filling for those unfamiliar with Sticky Toffee Pudding. The liquid here is an orange/amber and leaves an oily sheen on the skin. Lasts about 3 -4 hours on skin, but up to 12 hours on clothing. It's a love for me. Enjoy!

Sticky toffee pudding has been my favorite dessert since I discovered it. No, I'm no Brit, just a Texan who was lucky enough to try it at a local restaurant and became addicted. I've been making it every year for my birthday for over 10 years ever since, and this smells like it 100%. The dates, the toffee, the brown sugar, the heat off the cake fresh out of the oven. How is this possible?! Haha. I love this so much, but it's an extremely fleeting scent. Dries down to straight vanilla shortly after the first spritz. I got the body oil in addition to the fragrance to extend the wear time. Man, it's just amazing, but nearly frustrating because I want to eat it everytime I smell it! It is so realistic!

It may just be because I’ve just recovered from a cold but I don’t think so because I can smell all my other perfumes perfectly fine but this doesn’t last at all which is a shame because it smells absolutely amazing! On skin it’s there for a little while but I’ve tried it out on my clothes, heavy spraying too but it’s almost gone in seconds... I’ll keep trying it out to see if it’s just my nose acting up plus it may need to sit for a while which might make it better. Overall I still love it so much, it’s incredible and still worth it even though it’s weak.

I grew up with sticky toffee pudding, a frequent heavy but comforting pudding at the end of a school meal, or in a restaurant. This fragrance smells exactly like it. I can smell the vanilla, the dates, and of course the toffee. It lasts the whole day on my skin, and through the next day as well on my clothes. It doesn't evolve. The sillage is moderate, people close to me have commented that they can smell sticky toffee pudding while I'm wearing this. Love it.

One of my absolute favorite scents, period. It’s creamy, warm, sweet like caramelized sugar and freshly baked date cookies. It’s a super sweet gourmand without smelling synthetic or syrupy. A very grown-up kind of sweet with depth and dimension. Anyone who loves smelling like sweet gourmands absolutely needs this in their collection.

I knew I would love this, but I’m still surprised by how much I do haha. So rich, so warm, so sweet without being cloying... the date scent adds sophistication and a layer of beautiful complexity. I’ve never had sticky toffee pudding but definitely I want some if it tastes as good as this smells!

I have never smelled any Demeter products before. I was intrigued and blind bought this. What could possibly go wrong?! ;) My first thought was "how bizarre: it actually does smell like a bowl of sticky toffee pudding!!!" (Yes, I know that's the idea, but I never expected it to ACTUALLY smell identical, haha!!!) I actually smell the wheat/cake flour + the buttery toffee topping. Occasionally, I pick up a light date note, too. I haven't had anyone notice/mention the smell on me (although I can smell it on myself from about a foot away), and it really does last on my skin for hours. It's a fabulous scent........but, now that I think of it, extremely impractical: who wants to go around smelling of sticky toffee pudding all day?! Lol. I guess it'll be good for after dinner, when you want to pretend you're eating something delicious for dessert when you're actually only having a glass of water. ;) And it'd make a scrumptious room spray. I think that in the future, I will look for Demeter sample packs instead. I think it could take years to use up this bottle!

Smells more of Carmel-ish/ Date-vanilla in a smoother, richer and syrupy/ creamy manner with a soft spicy opening than the carmel scent they have. Essentially, just a lovely & photorealistic sweet-date-bomb frag. But it also has an absolutely weak overall sillage and longevity on skin and clothes, a genuine shame (i recommend an oil roller version). I own a bottle regardless for layering purposes and I love it. Pretty unisex if layered and feminine leaning if worn alone. Preferences are up to the person and I like mine layered.

I bought it to layer with Demeter Almond and 4160 tuesdays Over the Chocolate shop to make a Almond Roca Candy scent. Longevity is great. Its a linear buttery toffee scent. I wouldnt wear it on its own but layering its great.

I agree that this scent is one of Demeter's best. As gourmand as it gets, with its foodie notes completely in harmony, and linear as well. WYSIWYG

I was NOT EXPECTING this to smell like how it did. From the reviews people described it to smell like the sticky toffee pudding dessert but to me it doesn’t smell like that at all. It literally smells like M&M cookies with a bit of caramel. It’s pretty photorealistic to an actual M&M cookie (I even asked my sister and she agreed. I am pretty disappointed the perfume doesn’t smell like what it’s supposed to smell like. I love gourmand perfumes but I don’t really wanna smell like a straight cookie. I’m not sure if I’ll wear this one much. Update: it’s just too chocolate-y smelling and there’s something that smells a bit weird in this that makes it very cloying and headache inducing, it also makes me feel nauseous smelling it. I don’t really enjoy this at all.. Score 5/10

Blind bought this scent in the lotion based on reviews, despite never having smelled sticky toffee pudding before lol. This scent reminds me so much of glazed/candied pecans! At first I was a little put off by it, I think maybe I had been expecting something sweeter and less nutty. But as my expectations fade I keep sniffing my arm and appreciating it more with each whiff. It's an extremely gourmand scent, if you don't like smelling like literal food, this isn't for you-- I'm honestly not sure how often I'll wear it myself. But... I can't deny that I like it anyways :P

it's true to what it's smell. A linear true gourmand. Smells like sticky caramel candy or those hard candy caramel things. it's a very sweet smell and I really do enjoy it.. but unfortunately this house is known for weak smells. This will NOT last more than 3hrs...it will stick closely on the skin for a couple more hours..mhowever that's good performance for demeter...NOT ideal for me. I wish this was stronger and wearable(without worrying about reapplying). I purchased the mini splash, maybe full size sprays may perform better on clothes?

I made a great friend on here and we have sent a package to each other and she sent me a small roller ball of this and while it smells like I could drink the liquid, it’s not a practical perfume for my style I guess. There are lots from Demeter that I certainly would wear as a fragrance but this isn’t one of them haha it smells like wax melts or candles around the house. I’m sure my kids will love it haha

Recently, Penhaligon’s released a limited edition Brilliantly British fragrance which now is very hard to find with two iconic British notes: lavender & toffee. Although I never got to smell it, I spritzed Demeter lavender and Demeter Sticky Toffee on the top of my hand and it is absolutely intoxicating! 🤯♥️

The notes are ; sponge cake, dates and toffee . I got a 4oz for $20. I know a lot of Demeter fragrances don’t last long but this one lasts around 6-7 hours and has pretty good projection. You can really smell the cake and pudding. It’s similar to fragrances that cost me way more.

I do not like this, it has a chemical, overly sweet air to it. It makes me feel sick and I had to remove the blanket I sprayed it on. However, there are realistic notes of toffee and bread.
