Strawberry Ice Cream

SWEET. VERY VERY SWEET....and I like it! Wearing this...I felt like I had been working in a ice cream shop where their signature thing is a STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE! It is like I had worked a long day and all I did was make strawberry milkshakes....and the scent just clung to me. :) This is not the kind of strawberry ice cream that is natural vanilla bean with chunks of real strawberry. No this is the PINKEST of PINK Strawberry flavored ice cream with real strawberry chunks mixed in. As it wears it becomes more creamy vanilla-y but you never loose that Strawberry. It is yummy and it LASTs a long time too! I could smell it for a good solid 8 hours. I totally ended up CRAVING a strawberry ice cream something or other and went to the store for ice cream! LOL!

Smells like strawberry ice cream. I don't get a fresh or photorealistic strawberry, but something close to strawberry milkshake/ice-cream/cheesecake. Love the custard note. This is quite sweet, as expected, and definitely for gourmand lovers. Reminds me of Strawberry Cheesecake Bodycology, except the strawberry is more forward here in Strawberry Ice Cream Demeter. Leaves an oily sheen on the skin, and has good performance - maybe a little better than the stated eau de cologne. Love it.

Hmmm this one is ok but a bit of a let down. I like the idea of a strawberry ice cream fragrance and Demeter is one of those brands that when they get it right it is amazing but if not the fragrance can smell synthetic. The worst for this is Demeter Soap which is really synthetic, one that isn't synthetic is Baby Powder - a great fragrance that nails it's intended scent. I think it would make a decent mixer fragrance with something more floral or soft.

Being a fan of gourmands, I do like this. However my biggest issue with it is that it smells far too much like alcohol and just a bit too basic and synthetic. I will likely be using this to spray my laundry and bed linens, but I'll stick to the more complex and decadent perfumes for personal use.

It is definitely not the best strawberry perfume I have had because I feel like as with a lot of strawberry scents, it is a very artificial one. This being said, it is not terrible and I think it can be worn but for me it smells a lot like a strawberry scented candle.

I had this in high school. It was a nice scent, but very strong and a tad artificial/shrill back then. If I applied it too close to body parts near my nose (neck, behind the ears) I risked a headache. Maybe they reformulated it since then, but try before you buy.

smells artificial and extremely sweet like strawberry icecream, which is good for you if you like to smell really sweet!! personally i prefer more powdery perfumes but i really like this one, i probably would just wear it around the house though

More like a strawberry milkshake, but isn't that really just an icecream that hasn't frozen yet? It's sweet, milky, and very strawberry-y. I'm a fan. Pair with Demeter's "Waffles" and "Maple Syrup" for a real treat! Utterly delectable!

nostalgic fake-strawberry scent, reminds me of the smell they used to put in kids toys

I'm kind of disappointed by this fragrance because I was expecting to love it since I love all things strawberries. For some reason, all of the Demeter scents that I've tried tend to have a burnt smell to them (this one is no exception). But that burnt smell really turned me off of this scent and therefore, this will be going back on ebay ASAP. Maybe my two demeter perfumes are old? Because they are both yellow...this one is orange in liquid...are they supposed to be clear??

I am reviewing the Demeter Perfume Roll-on. Unfortunately this is nothing like Strawberry Ice cream, well, in Australia anyway. This is pure cough syrup. Extremely sweet and full of artificial berries. Such a shame, strawberries are one of my favourite fragrances but I hear that it is very difficult to replicate. This should be renamed Cough Syrup. Lasts a long time in the oil formulation but it is too sickly for me.

Tried this because I wanted something that went with my strawberry soda lotion from bath and body works. Very disappointed to me it smells like a strawberry car freshener. Smell almost gave me an headache as well. Not one of the good smells I’ve smelled in a while and even gave it a wear rather than trusting my judgment smelling just a spritz in the air. I don’t recommend.

Sweet, whipped cream and strawberry (the natural sour sort of strawberry but tart to the point of becoming chemical and biting) is apparent right away. But within seconds begins to smell dusty. I've noticed the same base toward the end of Demeter's Sugar Cookie and Caramel's lifespan, but in this one it almost instantly takes over the strawberry and doesn't mix well.

It’s kinda gross. It sits very heavily on the skin— the synthetic strawberry drenched in cream that’s a few days past its expiration date. I really wanted to like this, but it made me smell as though if you were to reach out and touch my wrist, you would be left with a sticky film on your fingers.

I had extremely high expectations for this fragrance. When I smelled it from the bottle, it smelled rotten. On the skin, it smells like expired strawberry oatmeal. Disappointed is an understatement. I was expecting to smell like a creamy, sweet strawberry, only to be met with disappointment.

Too sweet for me and rather artificial as well. It's true that many fragrances use synthetics, but there is a huge difference between a good synthetic and a bad one! It smelled like strawberry bubblegum...no thanks.

Loveddd this at the first spray, it smelled like a fresh ice cream parlor with strawberries. Then the dry down turned into a strawberry chapstick 😬. Not bad but I’ll let it sit for a while and hope it gets better.

horrrible!!!!!!! it smells so sweet its disgusting. I love really sweet scents but this just makes me want to throw up! it smells EXACTLY like whipped cream vodka!!! no strawberries and no ice cream :(

Was kind of expecting a more lactic scent, but its a lot more like heavy artificial flavored strawberry medicine

In America, there is an ice cream chain called Carvel that's famous for their ice cream cakes. Back in the 80's and 90's they used to have this plain white round strawberry cake decorated on top with sugar glazed strawberries that had a bit of an artificial tinge to them, I'm guessing due to the preservatives. This fragrance smells EXACTLY like that cake! I didn't even remember Carvel or how much I used to love that cake until I smelled this right now! It's true, fragrances CAN bring back memories! But now I want some strawberry cake :C If you are thinking about blind-buying this, I just want to tell you that it doesn't smell like what you smell when you open up a tub of Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream. It comes close (about 80%) but I feel like there isn't enough dairy/cream. And also there is that small artificial note, like I mentioned before. But if you're like me and you can just shrug and go 'Close enough!' definitely give it a try. Also, longevity is weak.

I was really nervous to actually put this on my skin. Off the top of the splash it smells just like a strawberry schnapps! Though on skin it does smell like strawberry bubble gum -with an odd hint of sweet maple-y nuttiness?? More like Strawberry Bubblegum Butter Pecan flavor. Definitely sweet, kinda sticky. I don't sense anything particularly "ice cream" about it. Not creamy or milky or cold smelling really. A warm nutty syrupy strawberry. Sweet tooth required. This one actually lasts a while.

Smells like the inexpensive artificially flavored strawberry ice creams they used to sell in the tiny cobtainers for a dollar. As long as you don't expect something that smells of real fresh strawberries (like some gourmet ice cream shop) you're good. These are the little fun, artificially flavored strawberry ice crrams we used to love as kids. It's a very girlie, very kitschy scent and for that it's a solid like from me.

This Demeter scent is not so much strawberry ice cream, as Strawberry Shortcake®, ...not the dessert, the scented plastic doll from the 1980s (look it up). Notes of hypersweet strawberry and waxy plastic combine to create an entirely unreal, and completely inedible, berry fragrance that will appeal to only the most dedicated and demented devotee of mass-produced, vintage, childhood nostalgia.

Don't buy this thinking it's going to smell like real fresh-strawberry-puree ice cream. Yes, this one smells artificial and childlike for sure, like an easy bake oven strawberry sugar cookie or a scented strawberry shortcake doll. I don't think it smells particularly good at all but it's a fun innocent type of scent if you happen to enjoy it.

Torched sugar, creme brulee style to start with, followed by a rather soapy strawberry note. Definitely likeable in small doses as the sweet scorched aroma, even though well represented, can become tedious sitting on top of berry suds. Appealing in its innocence. Another fun Demeter scent.

Don’t hate it, but not what I was wanting. The whipped cream note is strong in this one. If you’re wanting a true sweet strawberry, this probably isn’t for you. To me, it was very airy, and slightly reminiscent of a cheap strawberry lotion.

Smells so much of strawberry icecream, really yummy :) though i had to sell it beacuse i just wanted to eat or drink strawberry stuff all the time, it was really addicted.

Did not work for me at all. once I put it on it smelled like a cheap strawberry scented candle. waxy and artificial smelling. oh well.
