Tarnish

I'm not sure what was exactly planned to be conveyed here because tarnish is a bit more acrid than this, more metallic (not that it isn't, there is a bit in here, but not a lot, and rather tame for "tarnish"). In fact, cleaning off silver sulfide comes off as acrid and smells of rotten eggs--a far measure from this perfume in either aspect, but, unexpectedly, in a good direction. Immediately it opens with a glue facet, and a mellow metallic facet, minimally sweet, but really, reminds me the profile exactly that of Fume Ma Peau by Strangers Parfumerie, just cooler (less radiant/warm), and weaker projecting from the EDC formulation. By this vindication, it's not remotely as metallic as Gym Rat by Calaj. Admittedly it's simpler, but it really strikes true to the profile intent. I'm not getting a strong leather from FMP here, a light one maybe, but as occasional Demeter's disappointments were due to incorrect interpretations of the title, this was probably the only disappointment that quickly turned into excitement I've found from a perfume. Generally a better value just to get a whiff of FMP's scent profile, but still somewhat suffers from the Demeter EDC longevity performance (marginally moderate). +1 Glue -> [100/100] The most unusual gem, and a new close favorite for years to come! :)

One note, terrific, fun, different, enjoyable, not like anything you can name. Except it definitely smells like some kind of warm metal. If you like to get your hands on unique, lab-created notes (which I think this is), this should be part of your library.

It is perfectly metallic. It smells basically just like my suits of armor do after a cleaning. If you want to feel like a knight or something this is it, that was my goal, it accomplished that. The wife says it smells weird, but whose opinion matters more than your own? I’ll wear it next time I go to the ren fest so I can smell like I’m wearing two suits of armor while only having to lug around one

A little bit metallic and mostly pepper dust, pretty similar to Vinyl in that matter. Smells like a tin where you keep your spices, kinda forgotten on the top shelf.

this is the first fragrance that actually made me want to puke, its PHOTOREALISTIC that's for sure. went in wanting metallic and subversive. affordable blood-and-rust energy. i was ready for it. this wasn't it. i got: rusty necklaces that someone with a BO problem wore to a hot yoga class. like the tarnish IS there... hence "photorealistic", but it comes packaged with this spicy, warm, very human undercurrent that i did not consent to.

This is just straight metal to me, and I think it's wonderful. I'm a lover of photo-realistic scents, and this one knocks it out of the park. It's not trying to tell a particular story, and it's not trying to be something that it isn't. I've been on a quest for metallic fragrances over the past few weeks, and I can't help but compare this favorably to the more popular and beloved Ganymede. Yes, Tarnish is a one-note fragrance and it's less...shall we say, luxurious than Ganymede? But it's lovely and simple and exactly what I want to smell when I reach for a metallic scent. It's pure. I like this one.

Smells like tarnish. Metallic, peppery, dries to an almost outdoorsy scent, but keeping that metallic note the whole time. I suspect it would mix very well, butching up some over-sweet florals. Not great by itself as it's too mechanical. Doesn't scrub, so GREAT staying power, and scrubbing leaves behind a sort of pleasant alcohol-metallic scent. Weird, but kinda fun.

Stright up warm metal, almost like approaching a clean hot metal freshly picked out of the dishwasher or an autoclave, but not "chemically sterilized", nor as miniralic as I expected it to be either.

Straight metal, but not clinical unfortunately. It smells like aged, used cans full of spices. Masculine leaning, lasts only a little. Good mixer for more chemical scents

Metallic, ozone like, cold and clinical. I love it.
