Vanilla Cake Batter

It really does smell like vanilla cake batter. The boxed mixes mostly, like Pillsbury. But I agree that it has a strong alcohol smell mixed in. If it wasn't that strong, this would be a perfect scent match for real batter. I'm glad that I don't get the egg smell that some people mention. But I think I know what they mean, the batter mixed with eggs, but I don't get an "eggy"' smell. It's very sweet, sugary vanilla, with the alcohol scent making up the rest. I tried mixing this with the Vanilla Cookie Dough scent, because that one is salty, and they smell good on paper together. Might try wearing them together.

I love vanillas, so I ordered sample bottles of all the vanilla type scents from Demeter - this is the hands-down winner! It is the truest vanilla of them all and once it settles down isn't overly 'foodie'. It definitely has the vanilla yellow cake scent, but something about it keeps it from being too 'baked good' smelling and that is a very nice thing! It almost has a TINY hint of spice that just makes it divine for cooler weather. I like to add this to other perfumes to amp up the vanilla and people always say 'you smell amazing!' when they hug me :)

On initial spray and from the cap it smells just like vanilla cake batter! 🧁 it does open with a more “wet batter” smell and dries to a more “powdery” vanilla, ( not baby powder) it reminds me of the vanilla bean powder at Starbucks :3

This smells exactly like vanilla cake batter! I absolutely LOVE the cake batter smell, but after a few minutes that disappears and it becomes a powdery vanilla. I don't get any alcohol or eggy smell with this, just pure cake batter and then the powdery vanilla. Longevity is not that great as it becomes a skin scent after a few minutes, so this would be great if you like switching up your perfumes throughout the day and for layering.

Being a fan of vanilla and gourmands, I do like this. However my biggest issue with it is that it smells far too much like alcohol and just a bit too basic and synthetic. I will likely be using this to spray my laundry and bed linens, but I'll stick to the more complex and decadent perfumes for personal use.

No staying power. Very disappointing

I got lucky and found about 10 different flavors of Demeters at Ross for 4.99. I was so excited because they had the one I've been wanting to try, Vanilla Cake Batter! It smells like buttery vanilla icing, not bad, somewhat true to scent and definitely the better smell of the bunch. I'm one of those people that will wear a perfume I love even if it has medium/low lasting power and silage but this only lasts 5 seconds and its gone! I thought the Demeter fragrances would be a little bit higher quality.

Yum,I bought this for my sister and it smells exactly like vanilla cake batter which is one of my favorite scents it reminds me of my grandmother in the kitchen baking cakes for the holidays! I really like this scent as I do all of demeters fragrances they are so realistic and smell just like the real thing.Very nice and comforting scent.

Smells like straight up vanilla cake batter BUT only for about 10 seconds. It fades (almost completely) in just a few minutes. Gonna try to layer it with some vanilla body lotion to up the longevity. Some people compared this to Nest Madagascar Vanilla but I personally don’t see it. Madagascar Vanilla is very coconut heavy on me.

My FAVORITE Demeter fragrance!!!! This one actually stands the test of time on my skin. A clear,sweet,delicious vanilla that reminds me more of a vanilla martini than cake batter! I would say I want to drink this,not eat it. I think this is now in my top 5 fave vanilla based scents.

I will probably buy it because I love vanilla perfume and this one has also caramel and chocolate in it. It feels like this one will be nice and cosy fragrance for winter evenings just to make you feel relaxed.

Great for a quick pick me up type of fragrance that will only last 30 seconds
