Vetiver

Woah! Lots of peppery plant. Love how it’s raw and bracing; not sweet. Cowboys in dry grass. It’s big with a compelling contrast of bright birch, cinnamon warmth, and dry botanics. Good projection. I’ve been critical of most Demeters, but in love with this. Up there with Ambergris...both are warm and curiously spiced (not familiar or common or boring). Reminds me of my grandparents in the vein of used bookstores. Classy, but with strong personality. Even though it can feel old, it punches hard enough not to matter.

First glance at the smell I was repelled away like a demon that saw crucifix, but overtime (after weeks of denoteing it) i came to understand the notes within better and had more understanding, it has a very dry & greenish peper notes with a bit of musk and some earthiness hidden deep within, the wet part of the dirt attempting to balance the dry peppery note but the peppery note ends up being and limiting reactant for the process which gives it the perfectly imbalanced outcome. Very niche for the wearing but still intresting to look into. Not familiar with vetiver scents so no need for me to rate accuracy. Longevity beast. Masc leaning but could be layered to create a Unisex stuff. Basically this is a plant version of leather lol.

First impression: this is more than straight vetiver. The first thing you get is just vetiver, but after a few minutes I get more. It's like there is some sweet citrus in it, but I can't put my finger on what. I also think I get a little ginger. Super soft projection - I have to put my nose right up to my arm - but I am also just testing the one spray. There are better vetivers out there, but this is cheaper than the ones I can easily think of. This is the kind of thing I'd happily get a rollerball of to keep in my bag and use as a pick-me-up.

Fantastic layering scent. I wish I could find a longer lasting version of this kind of vetiver. It’s super green and grassy without all of the bells and whistles. It’s wet without being mildew-y and it manages to avoid falling into the gendered vetiver trap. This is truly unisex: simple but never boring.

Why are people reviewing this as if it's anything but just vetiver? It's a layering scent not an actual fragrance

its alright for the price but i wish it was a deeper earthier scent
