Waffles

On first spray, it's very alcoholic, but after about 5 minutes, it settles into the smell of a cooking (slightly burned?) waffle and Pearl Milling Co.’s Butter Rich Pancake Syrup. (That seems like an awfully direct comparison, but seriously, it's almost an exact replica of that syrup's smell!) As it develops on the skin, the burned smell disappears and your left with warm waffle and buttery syrup. It is delicious!!! Oddly enough, this scent is seeming to go bad rather quickly. I purchased my tester about 3 months ago, and when I first tried it, the scent was pure syrup. When I tried it again the other day, it had a deeper and smokier quality (maybe even a little rancid?) upon first application. Hopefully, I just got a bad tester! I really love this scent, even with its poor longevity and sillage. I'll definitely be purchasing more products in this scent so I can layer up because I think I want to smell like pancake syrup for the rest of my life.

This is so nostalgic to me, it smells almost exactly like Aunt Jemima's maple syrup, its such a happy scent. Reminds me of every diner I've been to on cold mornings for breakfast. I love this and I plan to repurchase when I run out!

This review is for the Demeter Perfume Oil Roll-on. I prefer the oil versions over the alcohol based sprays, they last much longer. This is definitely Maple Syrup, I can smell the vanilla from the waffles but it is a perfect note for Maple Syrup. I also purchased Demeter Maple Syrup and it smells nothing like syrup, more like the fake stuff. Makes me wonder where they went wrong. This one should be Maple Syrup and Waffles should smell like Vanilla baked goods before you add the butter and syrup. I don't know if I would dare wear this out of the house, it's bad enough at home with three dogs following me, sniffing the air hoping I have treats. I'd be the Pied Piper of Waffle lovers......

Buttery maple syrup from the start. After a little while, I get a bit of a coffee note too. Not a bad cheap alternative to New Harlem, if not for the poor longevity.

I so miss the old Waffle Cone fragrance...
