Watermelon Lollipop

Just a sample of this and I was hooked. I was expecting a candy version of watermelon, but was surprised at how fresh the fragrance was, immediately conjuring up a juicy summer sweet cocktail. One of the wonders of Demeter fragrances, for me, is the subtlety of the scents -- they're not supposed to be heavy, or last long on the body because these are scents to be enjoyed in the moment, especially the ones that replicate food! It's in the dead of winter when I got Watermelon Lolipop and I wish I hadn't just bought a sample, I need a huge bottle of it, YET to go overboard with this fragrance might be too much. Each time I've worn it, people take notice. They don't think I'm wearing it. Often the impression is one where people think someone's opened a bottle of juice, or brought some other treat. "Who sliced open a watermelon?" I heard one person say, giving me a big giggle. When I sprayed a little on a pillow, it lasted for several hours, and kept me from indulging in too much sweets. Swapping fragrance for sweets has become a very pleasant thing for me. This scent is one of those I like having around, especially when melons aren't in season! I've also compared this scent to Demeter's Honeydew Melon, and the two are very different. Honeydew is true to that lovely green rind treat, whereas Watermelon Lolipop is very red, and I have to disagree with the "lolipop" part because it just smells like watermelon juice. You can't beat this scent when it comes to a pure watermelon flavor. I could just about "taste" it in the air whenever I spray it. Simply MOUTHWATERING!

Fun summer scent. It is very much like a watery artificial watermelon candy/syrup. Very WATERMELON! Especially first spray - quite strong. It is not too sweet, nor to aquatic. However, it is probably, easily the sweetest watermelon scent I have smelled. Reminds me of watermelon jolly ranchers or those watermelon sour belts MINUS the sour part. There is definitely that candy element to it. It doesn't last too long - like all Demeter fragrances. Plan on reapplying frequently. Not bad, I actually quite like it. It is straight up, just a sweet watermelon and that is it.

I have this in the roll on oil and it lasts as long as you'd expect from a Demeter fragrance: 30 minutes at most. I'm honestly very sad about that because this is a perfect watermelon candy scent, pretty much like a watermelon jolly rancher. I emailed Demeter and asked them if they'd ever consider making their fragrances stronger, and they said they have no intention of doing so. It's a shame, cause I don't want to re-apply every 30 minutes, you know?

Completely Delicious! I love simple gourmand scents. This one is EXACTLY as it states a watermelon lollipop. Very sweet and fresh. I love it!

Fresh and sweet at once! Love the scent. A little like shampoo for kids. Unfortunately it disappears quickly, like, within an hour...

Smells like Watermelon Liqueur. Yummy, sweet, smile-inducing pure sweet happiness!

Smells exactly like watermelon gum, but unfortunately the smell, just like the flavor of the gum, disappears almost immediately, even though the perfume (classified as cologne) is surprisingly oily! Stays much better on clothes tho. Maybe I'm a little anosmic to this?

Smells like a watermelon jolly rancher. Very artificial watermelon scent but I like it! My only problem is it’s not sweet enough. I’m a gourmand lover and this isn’t sweet to me at all. If it was sweet it would’ve elevated the scent so much more!

What more is there to say? This fragrance is spot on, and brings to mind memories of searching through a big bowl of candy for that one watermelon flavored Dum-Dums lollipop. As naïve, sweet, and simple as childhood itself.

Smells absolutely as the name describes it! It's very candy sweet, a little too much for my liking, but I layered it with the Grapefuit fragrance from demeter and the tarteness of it balanced it perfectly!

First blast is watermelon jolly rancher, dries down to watermelon lipsmackers. It’s immature and I’m here for it.

It got this for free in a bunch of samples that I ordered, which was generous because I didn't spend that much money and they gave me a small bottle of it. I now wonder if it wasn't some mistake. It is not something I would ever wear so I used it for bathroom air freshener. Worked great for that purpose. If you want to smell like jolly rancher watermelon candies give this one a try. I think a really young girl would like it to wear.

I rated this as way overpriced even though I got it at a really cheap price because even at such a low price it was total waste of money. I wanted a simple, sweet watermelon summer scent, and while the scent itself is actually perfect, it lasts for like 5 minutes and even then, you have to put your nose right up to it!!! AND, be warned, it's really oily and stains clothes! (Not permanently, just until they're washed). If you're looking for a sweet, fresh watermelon fragrance, I would recommend Sorbetto Rosso by Escada - it's a much better scent (slightly more complex because of more notes, but still very fun, simple and girly), and it lasts and projects way better!

smells like 90's shampoo for children (L'Oreal?) that was watermelon scented. Does not smell like a watermelon lollipop.

Photorealistic watermelon jolly rancher. Love it but it only lasts 15 mins.
