Monopteros

This is a really summery scent. I smell a lot of coconut. I love the cucumber in it. It’s almost like a cocktail I want to drink. I love it but the only reason that I wouldn’t buy it because it’s to drinkable for me and I don’t like wearing it because it makes me thirsty, I know it sounds weird but I also can’t use shower gels that smell like juices. And I usually don’t like coconut but I dig it here.

Homage to the neo-Greek round temple in the English Garden in Munich, but also an olfactory challenge: coffee, raspberries and cucumber - any questions? But the initial cacophony gradually melts into a wonderfully complex dark-spicy perfume with enormous longevity. Disturbingly weird, but can be addictive!

A very strange mix, it`s almost funny how I do agree with pretty much all the notes icons I`m looking at (which is rare in my case), but if I look away and just smell it, it smell like cranberries and coconut raw flesh, not in an exotic way, more of a cooking coconut butter. There is a strange but recognizable coffee note.... I donno, it just smells like something raw and sour... plus a million of floating notes.

The composition is not boring, but it's kind of unpleasant. There seems to be this nice coconut-fruit block, but the aldehydes kill the whole composition. This is a good example of aldehyde overdose, and I'm afraid that if you wear it on your skin for a couple of hours, you can become nauseous.

Yikes! This smells like a generic laundry detergent. If you want to smell like you've just been thru the spin cycle this could be for you! It's certainly not for me. Yuk!

I agree with all the comments; I thought Interlude Woman by Amouage was weird but Monopteros is quite disturbing. How and why would you mix coconuts with cardamom and coffeee. Then you amp these up with the trigger bomb that is Aldhydes which in this concoction, turns quite soapy. It is such a bizarre and repulsive fragrance. Expectedly, some will enjoy this. I don’t. And definitely not fully bottle worthy in my books.

Wow!! I hate it. Smells like someone layered washing powder over a really cheap men’s cologne. Sickly sweet.

Definitely an unusual composition. Feels like it belongs in the Zoologist stable. Probably there are a few with similar notes there. My guess is that there will be particular situations where this scent would be perfect but I think I'd need to be closer to the equator to find out.

You have to be crazy or a bold visionary to put all these contradictory notes on one plate. Sparkling aldehydes with coconut, raspberry, cucumber and coffee? Out of this cacophony comes a intoxicating yet classy fruity floral with a twist. I have never smelled anything like this.

Diabolical combination of notes. I'd be interested in a spicy aldehydic fragrance but why you would pair it with coconut and cucumber is beyond me. I love a challenging scent but this just seems like an ill-conceived combination of notes. Does anyone wear this?

Imagine putting a glass of delicious fruit cocktail in the detergent compartment of your washing machine instead of detergent. Freshly washed fruity clothes. Not for me but if someone hugs you while this scent is on you, it may not let you go.. ✨

Reminds me of Berlin Im Winter by Baruti, on me. Powerful, complex with depth, quite heavy, could be a bi headachy. Hard to describe except as a comparison
