Musc Venitien

I've been dying to find a perfume that smells similar to Jovan White Musk but one that lasts a lot longer... and here it is!!! "Des Filles a la Vanille Musc Venitien" has every note that Jovan White Musk has, except it doesn't have the honeysuckle or amber. This one is more of a creamy, dirty (and clean at the same time!) powdery scent at dry-down, doesn't seem as complex, but it really lasts! WAY longer than JWM. And if you like musk, this one is for you! It definitely has more of that naughty animal musk scent, which makes it seem simpler on the skin, but is also what makes it last longer. I wish that DFVMV had a little of the honeysuckle, as that is what makes JWM take an "innocent" turn. SO, I would say, for the day, wear Jovan White Musk and wear Vanille Musc Venitien at night. It has a lot more staying power than JWM... Come to think of it, I think they would smell HEAVENLY when combined! I'm totally gonna try it! ^_^ UPDATE: I tried it and it totally works! They compliment each other beautifully. Spray the Jovan White musk directly on your skin and then just "walk in to" the Venitien after spraying into the room. It really makes the heavenly scent last all day and night time too. Scrumptious!

I absolutely love musky fragrances! I have the Avon soapy Soft musk and ambery Night magic, the powdery but a little bit synthetic Tesori d'oriente White musk, Narciso Rodriguez for her edt and musk intense, etc...but this one is different from any other musk (weel, I didn't try the Jovan White musk yet! ;) )! It's flowery, creamy and powdery, very natural, not synthetic or cloying sweet at all (like Les nereides Musc is for me). The lasting power is great, but of course it's gentle on the skin... it's definitely on my wish list!
