Patchouli

The weather is getting colder. Autumn is approaching and patchouli is calling my name again. I've been wearing this particular scent for nearly a week without a break. It seems that all fragrance lovers have a strong opinion about patchouli, and for me it's definitely love. Patchouly represents warmth, depth, sensuality, intelligence, comfort, individuality, freedom- everything I want and need- it "speaks" and embraces like no other note. Patchouli by Des Filles a la Vanille doesn't sugarcoat it either- it's still dirty/earthy and "rooty" but with a touch of warm vanilla/amber sweetness. Only a touch though. To give you some idea, this bottle could have easily been released by LUSH, or found among rare dusty items sold in an incense shop. It's a rare beauty, but not boastful, individual but approachable. You have to love: autumn, dirt, spice and earthy notes in order to like this fragrance.

Patchouli is a deep, sensual, oriental ,sweet, honey like when mixed with vanilla.it takes you to new realms of exeistance..its not an easy scent; it is an aquaired one..but ones you fall in love with it, you can never go back.. it hypmatisez you in unimaginable ways..it reminds me of the mehraja castles maybe the queen of sheba was wearing it, thats why the king built the taj mahal for her and her 13 sons..back to patchoulii personally love it ..i find it very sexy and irrisistable ..especially if you know how to ware it ..for it is a very strong heavy perfume but when mixed just right oh my God..its really tantalizing ..i think oriental and midlle eastern and maybe hyspanics would love this because it s a very exotic and dramatic aroma. it smells like burning incents.or like amber , it is an excllent base for powdery musky oriental and woody fragrances.patchouli has such a strong character that you can distinguish it easily from other scents easily ...the question lies in how its used..it can be right in your nose so its ideally used as bases for or mixed with oud agar wood or sandelwood or eve morocan rose which is a very fragile thing to do because each of those is so strong on its own.. yet when mixed with amber and musk can produce unbelievable it has this deep brown whisky color that is reseny ambary and some how powdery ..its magical..its being used a lot more these days in the new trend of heavy oudy musty perfumes targeted to suite the princesses of arabia..and if there is a scent that really encomposess that it is undoughtfully patchouli...its the scent of qweens along side agar wood and rose. open your heart and senses to it try to take it in despite its stickiness you will be amazed at what it can do! rating 4.9 out of 5
