Toi Mon Ange

I received this fragrance as a gift by a dear friend of mine. I didn't smell anything of this brand before, and I think it's not so popular, but instead difficult to find. I Like it very much, I don't smell peach note at all, but I detect a soft vanilla note sweeted by the toffee note. This makes all the olfactive construction very lovely, comfortable, delicious and yummy. I don't find it plastic nor so powdery like baby powder ( sorry for powder lovers, I don't want to deceive you), but the drydown on me is vanillary and sweet.It lasts all day on my skin, and the following morning my husband could smell the sweetness on my neck again; but the fragrance is very close to skin, poor in sillage but persistent. It surrounds you in a very delicious and gourmand way, but the projecton is not excellent. Recommended for gourmand lovers, vanilla lovers like me ( it's not sweet in a edible way). It remembers me the exact sensation of Un bois vanille: very persistent but very close to skin. I discussed yesterday with this friend about persistence and sillage of fragrances, and we both observed that the niche fragrances are often persistent and of very good quality, but not so strong in projecton. This seems to be a more frequent peculiarity of many commercial fragrances ( J'adore, Angel for example). I am very luck and happy to have this fragrance in my collection.

I love it ! Sweet and powdery, absolutely lovely and yummy. Not too sugary, light. Caramel and vanilla are very present with a touch of jasmine. It makes me think of a soft version of Fancy - Jessica Simpson (delicious too). Beautiful. Not synthetic at all. Nice lasting power.

The notes look delicious, but there's something wrong with this fragrance. Soft jasmine, powdery sweet vanilla, and a plastic toffee and peach smell that renders the beautiful vanilla and jasmine obsolete. This smells overwhelmingly... ripe. And not in a good way. I cannot understand what when wrong here but they must have used a chemical component to create the peach and toffee that turned for the worse. It smells sour, like someone who didn't wash for quite sometime. Over time it fades to something baby powder soft, a very delicate, sweet, and powdery vanilla. But the onset was so unpleasant I don't think I could go through it again.

So mild as to be nothing more than a child's perfume. Longevity was mere minutes.
