Classic French Perfumery at its finest.....a melange of citrus in the opening, followed by vetiver and Sandlewood with the ever present lavender.....think Dior Eau Sauvage and you won't be far off the mark....more suited to the mature classy gentleman

Great, pure, fresh - VETIVER. Perfect!

Personal: 7/10 - I enjoy this one, but woody aromatics are never my favorite. Mass appeal: 7/10 - The aromatics may be a bit harsh to noses that don't appreciate older frags. Performance: 7/10 - Good for most of the day but fades into a dull woodiness at the end. Value: 6.5/10 - It's a solid green fragrance, and it can be had under $100, but it's not a steal. Uniqueness: 6/10 - Feels somewhat generic, but a bit more fresh than others. SCORE: 67/100 Full bottle buy? NO, I like it but it's redundant with other green frags. Blind buy? YES, just be aware of sharp aromatics not quite being for everyone. Recommend? YES, its fresher take on green woody aromatics makes it something to note. Date night? YES, masculine and classic. Very appealing. Office safe? YES, but could be too loud with too many sprays. Don't overspray. Pros: Fresher take on woody aromatics. Pretty versatile. Smells high quality. Cons: Woody aromatics not for everybody. Not the best crowd pleaser. This fragrance opens with a bright burst of citrus, and loud woods and aromatics that stick around for quite a while longer than the citrus notes. The citruses make it bright, fresh, and viable during hotter months too, without making the fragrance too boring to be signature worthy. If you like green fragrances, and want one with a bit of a 'lemon Pledge edge', give this one a chance. Bottle-Worthy? 4/5 Initial impression is similar to Original Vetiver but less of a toilet disinfectant vibe and more of a citrus lemon-head candy with wood lingering under the surface vibe.

Opens like a musky masculine juice which is a perfect aromatic and quite potent in the opening. It settles to a juicy natural citrus and zesty orange/lavender top with vetiver, cedar and come herbal notes and cardamom. It's nice, a really clean, safe smell which is traditional and almost impossible to be offended by. However, it's not original or tasty enough to capture my attention. This house is good though that's two out of two for them so far. If you like a well blended classical stuff then it's worth checking I out. Longevity isn't bad and it projects really well at first, like for 1/2 hour or so.

Perfume Playground UK has been great for ordering Detaille perfume at a discount. Boy am I glad I bought a 100 ml for my partner as both he and I love it on him. There’s something addictive and intoxicating about the vetiver in this, the vetiver is rich enough to smell like rum. I almost want to drink it as a tea. But as a female I stick to my Byredo Bal d’Afrique for a more feminine lemon vetiver that is lighter. ‘Escrimeur’ means fencer in French, my partner is a national champion in fencing so this is fitting on him 🤺🥰
