Incense Stick

it smells as if a stink bug fell into a bowl of expo marker ink :-( .....AT FIRST!! but let it warm up to your skin, and it becomes a photorealistic incense..delicate, smokey, ambery and slightly powdery (not in a geriatric sense, but as in the bite that only comes from the powdery and resinous remains of incense ash). it is beautifully blended in that moment. it dries into a very light musk skin scent, it reminds me of those fancy bathrooms in malls my nana would have to take me into circa 2000-03. they basically had whole living rooms in there kinda? super calming and comfortable yet sophisticated. i do wish the more settled effect of this scent lasted longer!!!!

Smoke note is very heavy at the opening and a bit overpowering for my liking, but this is the most realistic incense scent I've come across. I do wish that there was a more prominent rice note, but it dries down into a beautiful white musk. Perfect for a cold, rainy day.

I would classify this fragrance as a clean, fresh, cold incense rather than a deep, spicy, warm incense like Encens Suave by Matiere Premiere. To my nose, the fragrance opens with a sharp, aromatic saffron and follows with a sweet, bright, slightly soapy jasmine. Personally, I don't find it to be smoky and I didn't sense a rice note. It has a sort of sweet, fruity, herbal quality that reminds me of the smell of some LUSH products. Not my favorite style of incense, personally, but I think it's pleasant to smell.
