Matcha Cat

A really lovely and bright floral green tea scent. A freshly-bathed cat who ran off to frolic in the wildflowers and honeysuckle bushes. The civettone is all fur and no musk (no pissy notes here) and does a great job of stopping any slippage into pure soap territory. The catnip.. is interesting. It reads as freshly cut nepeta/catmint rather than the catnip most cat owners are very familiar with. Also, my cats don’t seem terribly interested in it. The matcha... isn’t very discernible. I’m picking up on green tea but matcha is noticeably more earthy and robust. Overall I luckily still really love this scent but it’s another example of a perfume not living up to its very specific descriptive name. I still highly recommend buying it and I’m sure I’ll go through the whole bottle eventually.

clean! someone said like shampoo and i think that fits really well. i’m not gonna say i get matcha from this, especially on first sniff. the citrus pulls really strong on my skin and as it drys it gets almost softer and sweeter, leaning more towards those deeper notes. i would say this is still a beautiful scent. very palatable in a good way! like i could appreciate the layers of this scent and still wear it to the office. also, this is very nice if you get nauseous with some scents as they develop. love this brand i can’t wait to get the jasmine rice scent. their strawberry perfume is also amazing. very safe blind buy if you’re into clean scents! 4/5

Animalic, for sure! The immediate freshness of the perfume almost makes you queasy and then settles down into a soapy bitter drydown I don't love but can't help myself from smelling over and over. The bottle design's very cute too. A domestic shorthair skulking around in freshly cut grass

Clean but not a soap scent; closer to a shampoo/conditioner. It goes on so wet. It smells WET. It reminds me overwhelmingly of honeysuckle. It feels to me like going on a walk around my local field in the early summer mornings, putting my face to the honeysuckle and pulling back with some cool morning dew on the tip of my nose. Grows a little greener as time goes on, the base notes bringing something a little more sturdy to the scent. Super soft little pad of musky animalic. Those floral, clean, soapy, green and wet aspects dominates though. With a little more time, the soft, sultry civettone starts to slink around more and more. Really lovely. Not exactly my vibe, but such a pleasant and really clean scent. It’s still just as wet when it’s dry as it was when it went on. Another great drydown.

This is the worst thing I have ever smelled I am so sorry. Matcha cat Mate... when I catch you Matcha cat Mate... this scent actually makes me want to throw up. I do not know what note it is or if it is the combo of everything. Its not the matcha, and its not the green tea. I sprayed my sample a total of 1 time and I cannot get the scent out of my room, my clothes, and my nose. Maybe I got a bad batch or something, but this smells like actual garbage. The little card it comes with and the packaging are adorable though so theres that.
