White Rabbit

this is my new signature scent! 🤍 this perfume has very creamy, moderately sweet notes, & i definitely smell the carrot! the carrot made me a little nervous when i first blind bought it, but it’s so, so delicious with the creamy, sweet notes. i know people have said that they don’t smell the white rabbit candy that they were looking for, but i actually do smell it buried under the yummy, vanilla carrot cake. there are some animalish greenish notes that actually make this perfume sexy imo! i have 4 female guinea pigs & i feel like they would wear this if they were human lol. i think james nyugen nailed the rabbit vibes on this—representing both the candy & the animal! 🐰🐇🐹🐁🌾🍰 btw, this is not a powerful scent—leans a bit intimate. it’s not the longest lasting perfume, you might not smell it casually after a few hours but if you get close to the skin you sprayed it on, you’ll probably smell it. i’m not a heavy sprayer though! i’m more an intimate-moderate girl when it comes to sillage.

milky rice notes and candy like sweetness. it’s not quite a match for white rabbit candies which smell to me like starchy sweet milk, and slightly paper pulpy —sweet warm wet cellulose and i say that as a papermaker. i can discern faint pandan, which adds a lovely creaminess to the whole composition. dry down is musky and a lil floral, soft like a white rabbit’s warm belly fur. nice especially on a hot day, i really enjoyed the way this projected when i got hot and sweaty in ballet class and so did my teacher. i don’t really love sweet gourmands, but to my surprise, if i had to pick anything full bottle from dgrayi it would be mac co and this! it’s a pretty fun journey from top to base notes. my only regret is that none of the more vegetal notes develop on me.

Warm, sweet, pretty and innocent. Creamy pandan (which is like cooked rice to me), carrot, a hint of cocoa, faint jasmine and white musk. The tropical feel of the jasmine and pandan give it the warmth. It’s comforting yet energizing, like a spring morning. I think if you like Cow by Zoologist, White Rabbit would appeal to you. That said, they smell significantly different to me. Definitely feminine leaning with good longevity. The customer service from this house is wonderful, too. For me, it’s a love.

Truly a lovely piece of late springtime. On my skin it starts as a fresh, herbaceous carrot with an almost lemon candy bright sweetness to it. There is no real citrus though, and that’s where the hat comes in to give the bright juicy carrot a warm green bed to rest in. Later, as it dries, the candy becomes milkier, more rice milk than true milk, and more powdery soft. I love how these notes blend together for me!

a very warm and comforting scent, slightly vegetal but sweet with a lovely musk finish :) not as lactonic as i thought it would be, feels a bit more inspired by an actual rabbit than white rabbit candy

Nice, light, and inoffensive. I primarily get lactonic and musky notes, but the floral and hay came forward later in the day. The carrot was very prevalent on a paper testing strip, but more elusive on my skin. For the most part this is an intimate fragrance that sits close to the skin. I did get little scent bombs throughout the day where the fragrance would get stronger before fading again which was nice and cozy. I think that in terms of a 1 to 1 match for White Rabbit candies, Mochiglow’s White Rabbit is closer, but I really like the more musky real-life rabbit notes that were present in d.grayi. I’ll definitely wear this again come springtime!

it was sweet, lactonic and sweet like the original candy in the beginning, but then the dry down smells like the paper that wraps the candy? its less candy, more wood! then theres that hay which makes me think of like a barn a little but i liked this a lot! more interesting than i thought it was going to be!

There is something a bit too sharp about this that I don’t love, but it does have a really nice creamy rice paper facet that rings true to the namesake candy. Very starchy, powdery, synthetic vanilla. A touch of carrot seed and maybe orris? Nice but not really my jam, a bit too harsh on me.

To me this is a really unique sweet carrot and milk candy scent. Perfectly named. Comforting and mood enhancing. It’s an intimate skin scent but I love it and plan to add this to my collection.

I am hoping this smells better in the warmer seasons because on my skin I get hay, vanilla and something sour ( first sniff). Then it becomes more mellow with the animalics and you get a smooth creamy floral scent. It is its own thing tho, doesn't remind me of another perfume. Update: recently went to London (for the first time). I understand this perfume better now? This rabbit is 100% English. Spring baby. I actually like this a lot more in the fall. Maybe because it's more creamy and cozy.

I was hoping for a rather photorealistic White Rabbit (the candy) here and unfortunately that wasn't the case. Conceptually probably more similar to a literal white rabbit, with some hints of powdery vanilla to represent the actual candy, along with some animalic and earthy notes. In theory, they sound like fragrance notes I would like anyway but the dry down is quite musky and heavy for me. Gives me a little bit of a headache. Thank goodness the brand sells samples, and that is what I got.

The carrot note was a unique twist to this scent profile that I surprisingly liked, however it is VERY light with intimate silage. Not a repurchase for me personally, but I did enjoy it.

For me, I got a light creamy floral. No white rabbit candy at all.

Unfortunately this is very linear and VERY powerfully milk candy. Sweet and milky. Unfortunately that is just not for me. I could not smell just about anything else but milk and sweets. I do not get any of the other listed notes, the milk candy is very overpowering, and unfortunately I did not want to wear it longer than an hour, it was quite cloying. Edit: it is definitely meant to smell like White Rabbit candies, my above review is regarding my enjoyment and view of its wearability. If you are seeking a perfume that smells of White Rabbit candies, it is very much that.

Wished this smelled like how White Rabbit candy tastes but alas this is a rice paper + spices type of scent profile that I didn’t enjoy. It opens with a very aromatic white pepper with a hint of vegetal carrot, and then quickly becomes a heavy dose of just rice paper and not much else. I don’t get any florals, any sweetness or milkiness, just rice paper lol. The dry down has a bit of a fluffy animalic musk and some hay but it’s just so faint and still heavy on the rice paper so I don’t get much else from this scent profile.

* i'm reviewing the 5 ml apothecary vial, which could affect my perception of the scent! this fragrance really surprised me. i didn't grow up eating white rabbit candies, so maybe my lack of expectation / comparison point could help me appreciate it more, who knows. that said, this fragrance reads very much like a hard candy to me - round, smooth, sugary. the carrot brings a sort of... dampness? moisture? that rounds this fragrance out beautifully. intimate sillage but long-lasting for me. i agree with the review below that there's something cozy to this but i definitely think you could wear this year round.

This is so cozy and comforting. I can smell the sweet carrot and hay, but they're light and sweet and subtle. There's something incredibly warm and kind about this. I have a pet white rabbit, but she lives at the family home not my place. Something about this makes me think of holding her close to my chest and kissing the top of her head. She always has this lightly sweet hay and soft fur smell. This perfume captures it really well. I know that this was not trying to capture a real rabbit, but more like the candy. This is such a comforting fragrance I can't hardly explain it. It's very wearable too.

Sweet, cutesy, pretty, soft, comforting. This is actually so well made! I was worried that the sweetness would be overwhelming, but instead it feels somewhat balanced by the carrot, rice, and hay facets. I see how people could find this similar to Masque Milano's "Lost Alice", but truthfully the closest thing I've smelled to this is Tuttutondo's "Riso", which has a milky sweet rice combination similar to that of White Rabbit. Kind of neo-gourmand in a way, but it doesn't lose its wearability along the way. The subtle inclusion of tuberose is the perfect creamy floral component that this needed.

first day testing this. I was really hoping I would like it because the concept and bottle is such a vibe but I don't think it's for me... many reviews are saying that they dislike the vegetal/earthy notes but I feel the opposite, I think it just smells really sweet and is lacking the complexity I was hoping for. I don't dislike it but it's not worth the headache that super sweet fragrances like this give me. it does smell a bit like milk candy but definitely moreso candy than milk. I don't get pepper or animal notes at all.

In the pantheon of cozy musky perfumes, this one is a keeper for me. Its soft fuzzy furry animal musk, rounded out by powdery lactic facets. The carrot and hay isnt overpowering at all and adds a tiny burst of earthiness. The rice just radiates warmth for me and theres a lingering sweetness that could be from the pandan. I love this scent so much, its inoffensive and feels like being wrapped in the most beautiful mohair sweater on a blustery day. That being said you can wear this daily, 365.
