Hasunoito

To say it out loud first - it is an incredible masterpiece! Out of selection of Kyara, Keman and Shiragoromo, that I've tried so far, this one is my personal favorite. I would not define it as a perfume though, for me it is a medicine, a healing potion for mind and soul. Certainly, it has a very beautiful sent which develops over the time. On my skin, the journey starts with intensive green note, then moves through warm and comforting summer flower meadow and settles with salty honey close on the skin at the end. After experimenting with Hasunoito three days in the raw, I would say each day it sings a different song. The notes and melody are the same, but the song is different and it makes me love it even more. And it is even more astonishing how it affects my spiritual level, it clears the mind, makes it focused and calm. On the topic of costs, it is worth every penny, especially if consider the cost as a therapeutic treatment rather as a price for fragrance. PS. Life-hack of the personal ritual - early morning shower (waking up the senses ;-)), matcha tea, couple of drops of Hasunoito on the neck and clavicle (leave it to develop for 10-15 minutes) and then polish it with a morning meditation. Hausunoito opens on my skin with a lush mixture of violet leaf and sweet orange. The oud in here is also pretty prevalent through the top-notes, reading to me as green, and slightly mentholic. The indoles from the jasmine add a touch of a wintergreen note as well. As this beautiful fragrance opens up, I'm greeted with a creamy heart, most likely due to the ylang-ylang. Additionally, the oud really starts to shine, bringing a peaceful forest-ey scent profile. The Lotus stem lends an aquatic floral component to this fragrance. I have never smelled anything like it, but if I had to liken it to anything, I'd consider it in the same category as magnolia, watery, and green yet still light and sweet. Finally, the drydown is all oud. Herbal, green, peaceful oud. If you could picture yourself drinking an extremely relaxing cup of tea in the woods, that is what the oud in here smells like to me. In all, wearing this fragrance is a wonderful experience, and certainly personal and peaceful. This has monster longevity, and projects personally. One of the most beautiful and mysterious natural fragrances in the world. Hasunoito (Lotus Stem) is an incredibly spare and austere floral oud, this is a very delicate creation of high quality Japanese Kyara oud (no animalic qualities at all) with notes of orange, boronia, ylang-ylang, jasmine sambac, lotus and rose. The resulting juice is a very light airy citrus floral which is serene and meditative, a far cry from most traditional intense Oud based fragrances in the market today. This is for a very select group of fragrance connoisseurs who like elegant spare natural luxury without any reference to price, Very nicely blended and a prominent member of my personal collection. Bodhi Sweet-Orange citrus is paired with earthiness from Oud and a dark green Violet Leaf. The zesty, earthy-greenness holds on for hours, while a blooming lotus emerges flanked by Boronia, Rose, Ylang and Jasmine. The florals are unapologetically real, initially more indolic with hints of sweetness to come. Towards the end of the wear, just a hint of green-woodiness is present, but the florals become powdery-sweet, and uplifting. This one takes a little while to understand, but will keep pulling you back...eventually opening your mind to its unique beauty.

This is a mysterious oud composition, opening with orange flowers but quikly comes to my mind a tropical jungle , maybe due to boronia and lotus flowers..there is nothing of an animalic oud here, but all is delicacy as all Di Ser perfumes I have smell. The green smooth touch of violet leaves adds an earthy feeling to the composition all balanced with a touch of sweet ylang ylang and jasmine.... I would say it is a dark feminine oud , floral , sweet and green at the same time. Wonderful!

Loved sampling this, would definitely consider getting a bottle. It’s rose oud but done with Japanese style oud so it has a greener and cleaner profile than many other ouds. The florals over the top give a slight aquatic sweet mossy feel. Lovely stuff.

A mind blowing masterpiece that I cannot find accurate words to depict its beauty. A rare occasion when a fragrance is worth this price tag.

On the very front end, I get what smells like a combo of a minty geranium or spearmint and the inside of a jack-o-lantern. Then it shifts into a very sheer, clean, slightly medicinal phase which, supported by a persistent rose note, sticks around for the remainder of its life cycle. On me it's pretty short-lived. I do like this for its uniqueness, but unfortunately I don't feel it's quite worth the investment. Very nice, but costs a couple hundred dollars too much IMO.

This was very interesting as it smelled of an oceanic greenness that reminded me of kelp (the store salesman mentioned pu-erh tea). I would've never thought it's meant to be floral, but I definitely see the connection with lotus stem.

Hasunoiro is a unique perfume from Di Ser, and though I very much wanted to like it, the truth is that the fragrance as a whole really is a let-down. Those of you who have ever been to a plant school will instantly recognize this scent: wet soil, mud, flower roots. The top notes are especially heavy on the mud, and while the lotus eventually manages to shine through, it is never a particularly alluring scent. The oud is nowhere to be found. As for the dry-down — if you let some flowers stand in a vase for a week and then smell the water, it will be eerily similar to Hasunoiro. My biggest problem with Hasunoiro however is its projection and longevity, or rather the lack of it. The performance is so weak that a €800 33 ml bottle will be all but used up in a couple of weeks. There is an undeniable charm to Hasunoito, but all things considered, it is simply not worth the purchase (especially considering the price!).

meh, don’t love it. Smells of vetiver, rose and soap. Very one-dimensional and boring. Not worth it.

On my skin, Hasunoito is predominantly flowers and oranges, but it has depth that may be due to the oud. Its not a barnyardy oud, this fragrance is easy to wear. The main note I pick out is the ylang ylang. Ylang has been (and still are) being used in aromatherapy as anti depressive properties. Im not making medical claims, however (as epistemological individualist) it is very difficult to avoid noticing that this parfume make my mood happy. Due to the flowers, I get an exotic vibe from Hasunoito. In the drydown, flowers and oranges calm down and the atmosphere become more peaceful. Because of rare, natural essential oils Di Ser fragrances has its own unique DNA. The closest you get may be brands like Areej le dore and Bortnikoff who also uses large amounts of naturals. However, Di Ser is not that loud, but more delicate. I get associations to Japanese traditions such as Zen with focus on minimalism and natural qualities. Di Ser is like a Haiku, capturing a flash of reality. While Haiku grasp nature through words, Di Ser provide the brain with an image of reality translated through an olfactive experience.

An initial burst of sweet citrus and cut grass. No, this is not just the grass in your backyard, this is exotic jungle grass that you are traversing in the middle of a big tropical valley on your quest to discover ancient wild agarwood. The sweet and slightly fruity journey continues until you find the prize - a meditative soft green oud. Boronia adds that special touch of beauty. Hasunoito is a sweet green fragrance with an initial burst of Di Ser signature citrus. Green lovers looking for something natural will appreciate this.

I was worried that the orange and ylang-ylang would turn cotton candy on my skin. I was surprised by the initial sparkle of flowers and citrusy notes yielding to greens and lotus. Unlike other plants, lotus gives an aquatic yet grounding sensation. In the middle of all, from the opening, to the base and down below there is a very thin accord of kyara running through pistil and pedicel of this olfactory experience. My mother says its a very strong fragrance. I feel it very close to skin an with a medium longevity.

A beautiful medley of buttery florals, citrus and rose -- I'm not getting any oud just yet, but I'm sure that is coming on soon! The lotus is thick, buttery and utterly delectable. What a beautiful pairing with the citrus -- everything is in perfect balance. It doesn't feel like there is much projection going on, and it does play quite close to the skin, but all in all, a stunningly beautiful scent. Love it.

From the nozzle of the sprayer, I got a goaty barnyard hay and dung impression. Like sweetgrass and petting zoo. Not gross but very strong, old oud.
