Natural and foresty scent, love it!

Interesting woody aromatic offering from the venerable Japanese natural perfume house, this perfume whose name translates to ‘Shining Earth’ is an ode to Japanese conifer laden forests. The scent opens with the strong local Todo and red pine note with hints of Hinoki cypress. The heart reveals geranium, lime, and vetiver. The perfume settles on a base of mostly oakmoss with hints of agarwood and frankincense. The masculine leaning scent has moderate sillage and projection. You need a bit of patience with this one. The opening is a bit rough with the strong pine note but the perfume soon settles to reveal a soft earthy beauty. Enjoy!

Was hoping for discernable agarwood, but not mad at this candied lime + hinoki scent 👍🏼

Before I begin, I need to remind myself I just put this on around 10 minutes ago. If you are a fan of bathroom cleaning products, particularly Pine-Sol, then this fragrance is for you. The opening smells very similar. Citrus in Pine. It doesn’t smell bad at all, it just smells like bathroom products. We will see how it develops. You can tell that it is a very well blended fragrance using very high-quality and natural ingredients. I love that. Hopefully after the fragrance sits on my skin for a while, it will soften up. I will let you know! Perhaps this particular scent is not working for me, however, I have a feeling this is still a very great quality brand.

I smell zero pine or hinoki wood. This opened up with a lime and herb popsicle vibe that transitioned VERY quickly into a medicinal body liniment smell. I do smell some oakmoss, but this smells like liniment to me and I don't find it appealing. I was hopeful that it would have a nice conifer presence and that I would like it. Ah, well.

I wasn't expecting such a strong opening, it's very masculine with a reminiscent of piney vintage cologne. The opening is more on the sharp side than soft or subtle, but over time it gets softer projection and starts revealing a nice fresh, spicy natural tone. It's mostly made of sparkling dry citrusy, incense/resinous notes on the top and a woody, solid background. Over time, the perfume is present in a more subtle way, which I prefer over a strong opening. In the deep dry down, i get a dry, resinous, mossy tone. But there are some differences in the drydown; every time it's a little bit different, depending on which tone prevails. Oud is present very silently, it has more balancing properties to the citrusy-piney notes, not as the actor itself. I didn't get any cleaning products vibe. In my country, we use different cleaning products, so I don't get any cleaning connotations. I get 9-11 hours of longevity with strong projection in the beginning, which tones down over time to a skin scent that is traceable with my own nose without coming close to the skin. It's a nice, resinous, dry, woody-piney/citrusy composition. The opening is a little bit too sharp for my taste, but overall it's a quality composition. It has also cooling properties, i didnt noticed it before, the lime is fresh but also little bit mentholic with combination of hinoki. I'm toning the strength of the perfume down a bit with unscented body cream to create a more subtle version. I'm testing this fragrance from a small vial, so I'm not sure what amount of perfume the spritzer is providing, but probably a higher amount than a swipe from a small vial, which is quite strong/enough for me.

Quite a citrusy-mossy scent that develops as time goes on into more of a mossy-woody scent. I generally liked the Di Ser line, but this one moved into territory I am not a fan of.
